Chapter 300: Chapter 296: Unable to Teleport
Seeing Su Changxing’s ssage, Shen Jinxuan felt a tightness in her chest. This indeed was a dangerous place. Her body had been continually warning her of the danger lurking here.
Every mont, she felt a vague discomfort.
But she was still very hungry...
Shen Jinxuan’s hunger was unbearable. After hesitating for a while, she decided to ask Su Changxing for help, though it might make her seem useless.
"Whether I owe a lot or a little, it’s still a debt. It’s not a big deal."
Reassuring herself, she sent a ssage to Su Changxing: "I’m very hungry right now, could you lend
so food? I’ll owe you."
Shen Jinxuan pouted her left cheek out of habit, fairly certain Su Changxing would provide. However, she wondered if he was being overly kind to her.
"It must be because of the other ."
She was very curious about what kind of personality the other her had. In theory, split personalities should have significant differences...
Seeing Shen Jinxuan’s ssage, Su Changxing didn’t hesitate. He pulled a box of instant rice, a cake, and a bottle of water from his backpack, intending to send them to her.
Zhu Xin Xue looked over and mused, "Is this for Sister Jin Xuan?"
Su Changxing gave him a sowhat surprised look and replied, "Yes, it is, but how did you know?"
Zhu Xin Xue made a face, shrugged big, and replied, "I guessed. I don’t have anyone else to guess, and it seems like you don’t have anyone else to send it to."
Su Changxing thought for a mont, "That makes sense, you’re very clever."
Huang Biao slashed down a charging zombie and, turning his head in surprise, asked,
"Brother, is that girl still alive? I didn’t see her after that night and thought she was dead... Is she also Extraordinary?"
Su Changxing considered it and replied, "No, she’s just a Superpower User, but a rather powerful one."
Huang Biao nodded, not fully grasping the weight of "rather powerful," thinking she might not be much different from Chang Yi.
"Hmm?"
Su Changxing paused, looking at the food in his hand.
Item transfer failed!
[The other party is in an abnormal area, item transfer is not possible]
The item transfer actually failed. What was going on?
Was this beyond the capabilities of the Doomsday Ga, or intentional, just a built-in setting?
Su Changxing leaned more toward the latter, thinking perhaps the Doomsday Ga had designated an item transfer zone, and anything outside that zone couldn’t be transferred.
That seed quite plausible.
But is that really the case?
Su Changxing wasn’t sure, it was all speculation without verification.
"Surely she won’t let herself starve to death."
Su Changxing thought the food in the No-Man’s Land should be sowhat sufficient. More concerning was the "influence" from the Energy Station.
Shen Jinxuan was not Extraordinary. According to Teng Beng, getting too close would probably cause big problems.
Su Changxing thought about it and replied: "Your location can’t receive items, but since you’re in the No-Man’s Land, you should be able to find leftover food fairly easily."
·······
No-Man’s Land?
Shen Jinxuan recalled that her previous location seed to have been searched already. If this really was a No-Man’s Land, there shouldn’t be any people around.
As she spaced out, a roar sounded, and a nearby zombie noticed Shen Jinxuan’s presence.
This zombie appeared lazy and heavy, but once it spotted its prey, it moved with extre speed, as if wound up like a clockwork toy.
Shen Jinxuan snapped to, instinctively dodging to the side while slashing with her sword at the zombie’s neck, a precise yet simple movent that seed well-practiced.
The sword blade clashed with the zombie’s skin, producing a crisp sound and cutting in, but... it got stuck.
Shen Jinxuan’s eyes widened, realizing she wasn’t a match for this zombie and her attack wasn’t lethal to it.
The next mont, she was knocked flying by the zombie, crashing hard onto the ground, her exposed white skin grazed to a bloody ss.
"Bang~"
The pain left her dizzy. As her eyes fluttered open and shut, the zombie’s head exploded before her, blood splattering in the opposite direction.
"Pfft~"
A few seconds later, the zombie’s body fell to the ground.
Shen Jinxuan sat limply on the ground, looking at her own hand forming a gun gesture, bewildered: "Is this my superpower? But I didn’t control it."
"Or is it the other ’s superpower?"
She imdiately speculated, slowly rising from the ground, looking around and realizing several zombies were already unwittingly heading in her direction, drawn by the commotion.
Shen Jinxuan picked up the fallen short sword and turned, running away from the iron tower. The street didn’t have many zombies, with only a few scattered around in places.
Unable to defeat these zombies, all she could do was run, but these zombies were faster than her.
However, the more she ran, the more empowered she felt, gaining speed and even leaving the zombies behind, creating a whooshing wind.
"Does this count as a superpower too?"
Shen Jinxuan noticed an anomaly within herself, bewildered, but could only attribute it to a superpower. An increase in speed was easy to comprehend.
This was a long street, paved with red and white brick, stretching far into the distance, ending in a relatively tall spired building of Gothic style, quite prominent.
"What is that? A church? Or a museum or sothing?"
Shen Jinxuan looked around, planning to find a suitable place to rest, even though she wasn’t tired, she felt she should take a break.
Her current status was very abnormal.
Catching a glimpse, she spotted a restaurant, thinking it should have canned goods or sothing, and ran over, entering a corridor from the side.
The two zombies behind also followed her in.
Turning to face the two chasing zombies, she felt much more confident than before, now seemingly enhanced by so force, her strength and speed elevated to another level.
"Swoosh~"
With a swift slice, she beheaded one of the zombies, black blood spraying out in an arc and splattering on the corridor walls.
Following up, she kicked the other zombie down the stairs, then pursued and executed it in the sa way, beheading it with another slash.
A red gleam flickered in her right eye, noticing two more zombies closing in. Without hesitation, Shen Jinxuan took the initiative, stabbing her sword into the head of one of the zombies.
She knew the battle must be quick, or it would definitely draw more zombies, neverendingly.
The speed of the sword strike was fast, piercing right through the zombie’s head, yet the zombie’s movent didn’t stop, clawing ferociously in response.
