Chapter 246: Rebellion Erupts Again(2)

"Stop struggling. This is the most powerful property of my artifact. Once it draws blood, it induces an intense paralysis."

The little girl spun around cheerfully, walked behind Kaily, and let the twin blades extending from her sleeves hover back and forth near Kaily’s neck. "Richard, where do you think I should start? Which part do you like to stab? I still prefer the neck. You get to watch a fountain."

"Please... spare my son."

Kaily fell into despair. Knowing she was dood, she clenched her teeth and begged, "My son is innocent. Please let him..."

"Huh? What nonsense are you talking about? Richard is my lord. We’ve already ford a contract."

The little girl stepped back with exaggerated theatrics, laughing teasingly. "Don’t tell

you didn’t know. Oh right, I forgot to tell you."

Kaily refused to believe it. In her eyes, the cultist before her had simply brainwashed her son.

"She’s telling the truth. I joined the Shadow World Sect long ago. All those missing people in the territory were captured by

and used for sacrifices. I even used your nas as cover and did everything carefully so no one would suspect a thing."

Richard stood up and brushed the dust off his clothes with disdain.

"Do you know how hard it was to keep this secret? I had to pretend to be a fool, act like an idiot every day just to make sure no one would co investigate Bull Territory. I still rember that fool Phield trying to enter Bull Castle once. He nearly scared

to death. Luckily, I’m very good at pretending."

"Impossible..."

Kaily’s pupils trembled violently as cold sweat stread down her face.

They had known about the missing population in Bull Territory and the infiltration of rebels.

But she had never imagined that the culprit was her own son.

"There’s nothing impossible about it. You’re all too incompetent, acting like obedient dogs under the Empire’s command all day. I’ve had enough. Fate should be controlled by oneself."

"Just for that?"

Kaily felt dizzy. The child she had doted on had beco a complete madman.

"Of course, the main reason is that if you don’t die, how can I beco the lord of Bull Territory, even Rick Province? If I didn’t betray you, how could I beco a Divine Chosen? And besides, you were going to have another child, weren’t you? Trying to take what belongs to ? Impossible."

Without giving Kaily a chance to speak, Richard said cheerfully, "Do it, Polly. Stab the stomach."

"Thud."

Polly drove her twin blades down viciously, striking several more tis to make sure there was no breath left before grinning, her face splattered with filthy blood.

"This is much simpler. Otherwise, if we had fought properly and she escaped, it would have been troubleso. Heh, a third-tier artifact acquired."

Richard happily claid the artifact.

The scene left the Fierce Stallion father and son completely stunned.

Grabbing Annie Rui by the collar, Baron Fierce Stallion growled, "Go gather the soldiers, evacuate the civilians, and inform the governor that the Shadow World Sect has launched a new rebellion."

"I’m not going. I’ll fight them to the death!"

"Fight them? That’s suicide. Listen, if you truly want to avenge your fiancée, break through imdiately."

Annie Rui grabbed his father’s arm. "What about you?"

"I’ll buy you ti. As long as our family stands, Fierce Stallion Castle will remain Imperial territory."

With that, two loyal retainers dragged Annie Rui away.

Baron Fierce Stallion, on the other hand, steeled himself and raised his sword. "Today, I will personally experience the strength of a slaughter-focused Divine Chosen."

Polly’s killing intent surged as she grinned. "You’ll get your wish."

In less than three minutes, the resistance within Fierce Stallion Castle was completely annihilated.

"Priest, I present Bull Territory and Fierce Stallion Territory to you."

Richard knelt flatteringly before the mbers of the Shadow World Sect entering from outside, bowing respectfully.

"Richard, you have done well. The pursuit of immortality and supremacy requires shedding unnecessary worldly attachnts."

The priest nodded in satisfaction. Without any effort, they had taken two baronial territories, both key frontier fortresses.

In this era, fortresses possessed defense capabilities that were nearly unbreakable. Without the help of Divine Chosen, a siege could last for years.

Especially during a siege, if noble reinforcents arrived, the attackers would be easily crushed.

"Humans, leave the slaughter to us corrupted ones. That was our agreent."

The corrupted Divine Chosen held a heart in his hand, biting into it like an apple before speaking cheerfully, "It’s not easy coming to a world full of living things. Heh, that fool Agnes is still following the higher-ups’ orders, staying obediently in the viscount’s territory."

"Not yet. Once our leader finishes his work, you’ll have access to even more cities. These two fortresses are nothing. Even if you dig three feet into the ground, there aren’t many people here. Big cities have plenty of food."

Polly spoke casually, as if she had no guard against the corrupted creatures, yet her entire body was like a drawn blade ready to strike, revealing her true thoughts.

"That makes sense. Patience."

The priest let out a breath of relief. "Richard, take so n and hunt down Annie Rui’s remnants. The rest of you, prepare to take over Rick Province and begin setting up defenses."

...

Phield shouted, "Second-tier combat technique, Myriad Waves!"

Surging magical power flowed from the connection between his palm and the lance, rippling outward like waves and stirring layers of air currents.

The magic surged violently, transforming into a powerful force that thrust forward with terrifying impact.

Over the past two days, Phield had been studying second-tier combat techniques. These techniques, taken from his brother, were all top-tier, far surpassing common ones on the market.

"You’ve already grasped seventy to eighty percent of it."

A hint of admiration flashed in Rosalia’s eyes as she raised the Greatsword of Gluttony to defend.

Boom.

The powerful technique struck the Greatsword of Gluttony, producing a thunderous vibration.

"Against an ordinary knight, that one move would be enough to decide the battle." Rosalia shook her blade to dissipate the force, then planted it into the ground and nodded in approval. "I didn’t expect you to master it so quickly."

Phield proudly gave a thumbs-up. "Of course. The only problem is that combat techniques consu too much stamina. I feel like I can only use it once more before I’m completely exhausted. I can’t use it casually unless it’s critical."

"That’s exactly how it is. The sa applies to divine skills." Rosalia reminded him patiently. "Most importantly, don’t rely on these techniques and act recklessly. Even a Divine Chosen might not survive charging into an enemy formation."

"Got it."

Phield rubbed his chin. "Next ti, I need to buy a batch of magic awakening potions. Nightfall Domain needs to cultivate its own warriors, otherwise these manuals will go to waste."

After finishing his daily combat training, Phield wiped off his sweat and sighed as he walked.

"The weather is getting hotter and hotter. I should start making ice. I really want a cola."
