Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Zither Tune IV, Joyful Wind!

Han Zhan’s words were not only for himself to hear.

All the Spirit Contract Masters present, everyone watching through the broadcast, and the leaders from various regions seated in the command center.

They all heard this sentence.

Everyone’s expressions varied.

So were puzzled, so remained unmoved, so were thunderstruck, and so brimd with fighting spirit.

But Han Zhan was simply Han Zhan, he had this stubborn persistence in him.

Training in martial arts begins with nurturing a fierce disposition; now this fierceness in his chest demanded expression!

Han Zhan’s hand once again pressed down on the strings of the Fu Xi Zither.

At this mont, outside the combat space,

a piece of white paper was inexplicably blown off, drifting to the ground.

The leaves on a tree rustled as they were blown, swaying gracefully.

A female classmate’s short skirt was blown up, eliciting waves of screams.

More and more oddities erged.

It was all the wind.

An unseen wind guided by a mysterious call, converging from all directions.

Rising from nowhere, appearing out of thin air, penetrating everywhere, infiltrating the combat space.

Inside, it ford a tornado that spanned from earth to sky.

Coincidentally enveloping the entire Red Fla Beast!

"A mighty righteous aura, a thousand miles of Joyful Wind!"

Han Zhan’s spiritual power surged out like a flood, this was not a zither tune that a Tier One could play.

But now, he couldn’t care about such things!

"rcy!"

Blood oozed simultaneously from Han Zhan’s eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, dripping onto the zither strings.

The originally gathered tornado swirled quickly around the Red Fla Beast, soon sweeping away and absorbing all the flas that enveloped its body!

The bare Red Fla Beast looked like a plucked chicken, sowhat comical.

No one had the heart to laugh.

Because they saw Han Zhan raising his right hand high, pressing it heavily on the zither strings, and the Fu Xi Zither emitted a sound akin to a lant from spiritual power exhaustion.

Imdiately, that uncontrollably wild wind drilled entirely into the body of the Red Fla Beast!

Crack.

A crisp shattering sound arose, a pale green light trace appeared on the Red Fla Beast’s shell,

it spread instantly, cracking more and more like a shattered porcelain piece.

The next second, with a loud bang, the originally tall Tier Three Red Fla Beast crumbled to dust in an explosion.

He did it!

He won!

Everyone witnessing this scene was utterly stunned. Instantly killing a Tier One Black Bull Insect, they could accept that; defeating a Tier Two Exotic Beast, they could acknowledge that, but this was a Tier Three Red Fla Beast!

Could it be any more outrageous!

He was too overwhelmingly strong!

At this mont, everyone rembered the na Han Zhan and his proclamation-like self-introduction just now.

"My na is Han Zhan, a Spirit Contract Master! I am here not just to survive!"

"Clap, clap, clap!" No one knew who started clapping first, but more and more applause erupted, the dense applause resonating throughout the entire assessnt site.

This applause was for Han Zhan, and also for all humanity.

Amidst the crowd, Wang Luma and Xiao i felt a bit awkward,

if they clapped, it felt like slapping themselves in the face; if they didn’t, it felt like they would be slapped by the person next to them any second.

Wang Luma looked at Han Zhan shining in the combat space, his teeth nearly grinding to pieces.

Clearly, all this glory, this aura, could have been his, but Han Zhan suddenly erged and intercepted halfway!

Xiao i’s face was also hard to look at, her efforts yesterday had turned into a joke with Zhao Hu’s earnest guarantees.

"Han Zhan, Combat Assessnt - Difficulty Ten, Passed!"

"Han Zhan, Healing Assessnt - Difficulty Ten, Passed!"

Announcing both assessnts’ passing at once was official treatnt for Han Zhan, which he undoubtedly deserved.

Even the already shocked crowd couldn’t avoid being astounded again upon hearing the assessor’s announcents.

"This is unprecedented, and will never be surpassed, right?"

"Passing both assessnts at difficulty ten, no one else can break this record!"

"I’m more concerned about where the officials will assign him; such a genius must be fiercely contested over..."

Struggle or not, Han Zhan didn’t know, he only knew that upon hearing the assessnt’s passing announcent, the combat space scene before his eyes sharply changed into a pure white space.

A man wearing black-frad glasses stood not far in front of him.

"Joyful Wind, quite a nice na. I’m Lin Jingxuan, head of the Second War Zone."

"Congratulations and welco to the third assessnt space," Lin Jingxuan said, looking at Han Zhan without a hint of a smile.

anwhile,

a sheet of paper glowing faintly with golden light floated down from above Han Zhan, then hovered right in front of him.

There were only three questions on the paper.

"First question: If you and your team of ten Spirit Contract Masters are suddenly attacked by one hundred Cockroach Nest Insects in the suburbs, what would you do?"

Cockroach Nest Insects are Tier One Alien Insects, and with ten Spirit Contract Masters, if the battle allocation is reasonable, this swarm can be defeated.

Han Zhan pondered for a mont and gave his answer:

"Let the other nine Spirit Contract Masters hold the line, while I leave alone to reach the nearest city."

"Your answer surprises ," Lin Jingxuan said upon hearing Han Zhan’s answer, not imdiately judging right or wrong, but instead asking, "Why did you choose to do so?"

"The reason is simple. When you see one cockroach, your ho might already have a hundred cockroaches. So when a hundred Cockroach Nest Insects appear, it’s likely just the vanguard; the actual swarm’s number exceeds millions, even billions!"

"Having the other nine hold the line prevents the Insect Race from realizing I’ve caught on, and heading to the nearest city is to warn and call for reinforcents to counter this large-scale insect disaster."

Han Zhan’s logic was clear; Lin Jingxuan adjusted his glasses and nodded.

"Second question: Between the Insect Race and humans, who do you think will ultimately win?"

"I believe the Insect Race will ultimately win, but humans will not be defeated."

"An interesting answer," Lin Jingxuan continued his questions.

"Third question: Why did you beco a Spirit Contract Master?"

"Why?" Upon hearing this, images he had seen before flashed in Han Zhan’s mind.

He spoke from the heart: "I beca a Spirit Contract Master to stop insects from ravaging our land, to allow people to live in peace, to see smiles on everyone’s faces. To place the flag of Great Xia on all territories that were taken!"

"To restore the glory of Great Xia, it’s an obligation that cannot be shirked!"

"Good, well said!"

In the distance, soone clapped and walked over.

It was a spirited elder with white hair, but he had a robust body and piercing eyes.

"Young man, would you be willing to beco my disciple?"
