Chapter 236: Chapter 201: Liquid Turbellaria Extract

The splashing droplets landed on Su Ze, burrowing into his skin like tiny insects.

These droplets were also part of the Liquid Turbellaria. Once separated from the main body, they seed to beco independent entities.

Su Ze activated his Eye of Truth, spreading his Perception Tentacles across the surface of his skin. He then sent a current through them, coating his body in a layer of Electric Armor. Amid a crackling sound, the droplets clinging to his body fled, "leaping" off of him.

Maintaining the layer of Electric Armor, Su Ze faced the surging, tide-like Liquid Turbellaria head-on.

SPLASH!

Su Ze dove into the water. It was everywhere, but he knew he had actually entered the Liquid Turbellaria’s body.

This was the Liquid Turbellaria’s preferred thod of combat: envelop an enemy within its body, then slowly digest them through various ans.

For instance, Su Ze could feel the surrounding "water" changing color, now tinged with a jade-green hue. At the sa ti, his hands and feet grew numb.

He was poisoned!

After afflicting the Liquid Turbellaria with Plague Poison, he himself had fallen victim to the creature’s own toxin.

It was a paralytic toxin. Fortunately, the Liquid Turbellaria’s power was currently suppressed, lowering the potency of its secreted biotoxin. Combined with Su Ze’s powerful constitution, the effects were not too severe.

In addition, the surrounding currents writhed like maggots, constantly trying to force their way into his body. The Liquid Turbellaria focused its assault on his orifices—his eyes, nose, and mouth.

Su Ze had no choice but to continuously increase the electric current on his skin’s surface to repel the invading streams of water.

At the sa ti, he utilized the superb underwater mobility of his Celestial Sea Wings skill to swim rapidly within the Liquid Turbellaria’s body.

Su Ze surged forward, intending to burst out of the Liquid Turbellaria, but a tough, elastic skin suddenly ford over its body. He slamd into it and was imdiately flung back.

’It won’t let

out? Trying to trap

in here to die? Fine, then I won’t leave...’ Su Ze didn’t even try to break the Liquid Turbellaria’s skin with a piercing attack. Instead, he dove straight down, activated his Ant Power, and unleashed a Furious Waves strike below him.

A terrifying shockwave raged within the Liquid Turbellaria. The water inside it began to churn and bubble as if it were boiling.

The Liquid Turbellaria fought back. Su Ze suddenly felt a searing pain as the surrounding water transford into a corrosive acid, burning away at his skin.

Gritting his teeth, Su Ze didn’t try to escape. He just unleashed another Furious Waves strike below.

After advancing to the Butterfly Stage, the Furious Waves skill, which used to be quite taxing, now put almost no strain on him to use repeatedly.

The main effect of the Furious Waves skill was concussion. Su Ze unleashed it again and again, tirelessly. He ignored the corrosive liquid burning away his skin, relying on his powerful physique and terrifying regenerative abilities to endure the assault.

The water inside the Liquid Turbellaria rippled violently from the concussions. It let out a continuous shriek, like a cat in heat, clearly in agony from the internal turmoil.

Finally, its skin could no longer withstand the pressure and ruptured. The fluid within found an escape and gushed out violently.

The Liquid Turbellaria’s body burst apart. Corrosive fluid splashed everywhere, forming a large puddle at Su Ze’s feet.

HISS...

The grass on the ground sizzled and dissolved, releasing wisps of green smoke.

Su Ze shook the corrosive fluid from his feet and moved to a clean patch of ground. He scanned his surroundings. ’Is it over?’

’Is the Liquid Turbellaria dead?’

Su Ze wasn’t sure. But with only a puddle of water left, how was he supposed to get the extract?

At that mont, in the monitoring room, Miss Lin and the round-faced soldier, who had witnessed the entire battle, both took a deep breath.

Throughout the fight, they had been glued to the screen, not even daring to blink or breathe, afraid they might miss a single fra.

After a mont of silence, the round-faced soldier spoke first, his voice hoarse. "I didn’t expect... this Su Ze is actually quite strong."

Miss Lin nodded. "Very strong. But the Liquid Turbellaria isn’t that easy to kill. The fight isn’t over yet."

No sooner had she spoken than the scene on the monitor changed.

The corrosive fluid that had seeped into the soil began to flow back together, re-forming into an entirely ink-black turbellaria.

After re-forming, its body hadn’t shrunk at all. It was still the size of an elephant.

Then Su Ze watched as the Liquid Turbellaria split in half, becoming two smaller turbellariae.

Then they split again...

In the end, there were ten boar-sized turbellariae surrounding Su Ze and charging at him.

’So the internal digestion tactic failed, and now it’s switching to a swarm tactic?’

Su Ze drew his Moon Blade and spread Gravity Dust Sand at his feet. The mont the Liquid Turbellaria got close, he used his gravity ability to slow them all down.

He then activated Ant Power, his strength surging. He spun around and slashed, cutting two of the turbellariae in half as if they were made of butter.

The Moon Blade, a Tier-3 wondrous item, was prized for its sharpness. Combined with the power boost and the "Shatter" effect from Ant Power, it was devastatingly effective.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

Su Ze felt the sa thrill as playing a hack-and-slash ga, felling a small turbellaria with every slash.

The turbellariae were no match for his blade; each one was cut in two.

But then a problem arose: not a single one of the severed turbellariae had died.

In fact, the more he killed, the more there were. The original ten turbellariae had beco dozens after his onslaught.

That’s right. The turbellariae were now so small that "boar-sized" was no longer an accurate description. If he kept slashing away, he would soon be facing hundreds, if not thousands, of them.

’This isn’t working. How can I kill these things made of water...?’ Su Ze wracked his brain for a new strategy.

Just then, the dozens of turbellariae suddenly changed.

So turned green, so red, so white...

They then opened their mouths and spewed a variety of liquids at Su Ze: corrosive acid, venom, a fluid like thousand-degree oil, and jets of water as sharp as arrows.

Su Ze’s defenses had always been diocre. He relied purely on his strong constitution and rapid healing. Faced with such a dense barrage of attacks, he wasn’t arrogant enough to try and tank it with his body.

With a thought, Su Ze activated Nut Thorn Armor, the skill from his Tier-3 wondrous item, the Thorn Armor Leaf.

A giant, spiky chestnut shell enveloped Su Ze. The dozens, now hundreds, of liquid projectiles all slamd against its surface.

The shell was corroded, doused in oil, set ablaze, and pierced by sharp jets, but only the outermost layer sustained damage. Su Ze remained unhard within its multiple layers of protection.

After weathering the most intense wave of attacks, Su Ze burst out of the shell.

He swung his Moon Blade, unleashing waves of silver, crescent-shaped energy.

Su Ze now understood that physical attacks were useless against the Liquid Turbellaria. He had to use energy attacks.

Because Su Ze had taken the Night-Use Black Pills, his body had stored a large amount of Moonlight Energy. The Moon Blade had also absorbed a great deal of it. He was surprised to discover that when he unleashed blasts of moonlight with the blade, the Moonlight Energy stored in his own body was drawn out, continuously pouring into the weapon.

Empowered by both the moon in the sky and the Moonlight Energy from Su Ze’s body, the slashes from the Moon Blade rose to a new level of power.

Every blast of energy that struck a turbellaria detonated on impact, blowing the creature to pieces.

He unleashed a dozen blasts, and the dozens of turbellariae multiplied into thousands.

However, each new turbellaria was pitifully small.

This was the mont Su Ze had been waiting for. He leaped down from the chestnut shell and spread his Gravity Dust Sand to its maximum range, using the gravitational pull to gather all the Liquid Turbellaria toward the center.

If it were the whole Liquid Turbellaria, Su Ze would have struggled to pull it with his gravity. But after being divided into thousands of pieces, these tiny creatures were powerless to resist the pull and were drawn together.

The Liquid Turbellaria went along with it, its fragnts combining into a single, ever-growing sphere of water.

During this process, Su Ze continuously constricted the range of his Gravity Dust Sand.

Finally, the Liquid Turbellaria re-ford into a single, elephant-sized creature, and the field of Gravity Dust Sand shrank to cover just the area beneath it.

The Liquid Turbellaria tried to break free of the gravitational hold, only to find its body had grown weak. Escaping was no longer so easy.

The Plague Poison Su Ze had infected it with earlier was finally taking full effect. Even against a unique life-form like the Liquid Turbellaria, the Plague Poison was still potent.

Confirming that the Liquid Turbellaria couldn’t easily escape the gravitational pull, Su Ze began to unleash his electric current at maximum power, frantically electrocuting the creature.

Hit by the powerful current, the Liquid Turbellaria found it even harder to focus its strength to escape.

Then, while maintaining the electric current, Su Ze also channeled the Moonlight Energy in his body, unleashing slash after slash of energy at the Liquid Turbellaria.

The Liquid Turbellaria’s body was continuously blasted apart by the attacks. Before any splattered liquid could hit the ground, it was pulled back by the gravitational field.

The Liquid Turbellaria was essentially tied to a post, forced to endure Su Ze’s electrocution and energy blasts. These were his only two forms of energy attack.

Under this two-pronged tornt, the Liquid Turbellaria grew steadily weaker. Compounded by the flaring Plague Poison, it gradually lost the strength to resist.

Su Ze wasn’t sure if he could wear the Liquid Turbellaria down to death this way.

But he didn’t need to.

Whether it was a xeno-beast or a Spiritual Plant, extracting the Evolutionary Material from their bodies was a surefire way to kill them.

Su Ze took a High-Level Extractor from his Storage Pendant, walked over to the immobilized Liquid Turbellaria, and plunged the device into its jelly-like body.

The Liquid Turbellaria’s soft body offered no resistance, so Su Ze had to hold the extractor steady.

As he watched the fluid, glowing with a green evolutionary light, gradually fill the glass tube, Su Ze breathed a sigh of relief.

Finally, after a few minutes, the Liquid Turbellaria’s life signs vanished completely. The extractor now held a full tube of green extract.
