Chapter 291: Chapter 300: The Slaughter Begins (Part 1)
Seeing the patterns on Chu Linfeng’s arm and back, ng Ji exclaid, "My god, how is this possible? How could you possibly have signed a Soul Contract with two Magical Beasts? That’s practically unheard of!"
If ng Ji knew that Chu Linfeng could actually sign contracts with three, she might just think of him as a monster.
"Why do you say that? Is it so strange?" Chu Linfeng chuckled as he put on his underwear, ready to try on the armor.
"Lin Feng, you must be joking! Those who can make Magical Beasts willingly accept them as their master and sign a Soul Contract are absolute strongn, and you’re only at the Earth Martial Realm level. What’s more, two of them? I find it hard to believe." ng Ji said.
Chu Linfeng tried on the armor and felt it wasn’t bad, so he laughed, "Do I look like a Grand General now? Don’t I have that dashing and capable air?"
"Stop dodging the question. How did you do it? Can you tell ?" ng Ji asked expectantly.
"Really want to know? Tell
your reason and I’ll let you know because this is a top secret issue. I won’t tell just anyone." Chu Linfeng said to ng Ji, while inwardly chuckling.
ng Ji glared at Chu Linfeng and said, "In the Demon Race, we have a Secret Technique. If you can sign a Soul Contract with a High Tier Magical Beast, you can gain half of the beast’s ability, which would greatly enhance your strength."
"There’s actually such a thing? I’m indeed ignorant. Considering your honesty, I’ll tell you. They all approached
themselves, saying I’m the future Overlord, and following
is promising." Chu Linfeng laughed.
ng Ji looked at Chu Linfeng half-skeptically. Although she suspected he might be lying, it was true that only super strong people could make Magical Beasts accept them. So High Tier Magical Beasts could actually foresee the future of their master.
"Brother Long, let
see how you look in the armor?" A voice suddenly ca from outside the door, belonging to Wei Qun.
ng Ji hastily put on her face veil and said with so annoyance, "Your little brother is here, aren’t you going to open the door?"
Chu Linfeng, knowing ng Ji was blaming him for not telling the truth, said directly, "The door’s not locked, co on in!"
As soon as he finished speaking, two people entered from outside. Seeing a woman in Chu Linfeng’s room, Wei Qun was a bit surprised but quickly responded, "Wei Qun greets the Master!"
ng Ji slightly nodded in response, while the other person with Wei Qun, Luo Lin, saw a woman in the room and imdiately exclaid, "Chu Linfeng, you’re dead this ti! How dare you ss with a woman in the military camp? I’m going to report you!"
Chu Linfeng looked at Luo Lin and chuckled, "Are you an idiot or is your brain malfunctioning? Aren’t you a woman too? Now that you’ve entered my room, does it an I’m ssing with you too?"
Chu Linfeng’s words were a bit sharp, causing Luo Lin to get angry, "I’m an Imperial City Guard, how can I be considered a woman? Don’t be unreasonable."
"Haha, you’re truly an idiot. You forgot who your father asked you to accompany? You actually dare to be so disrespectful to the guest. I think you’re not fit to be an Imperial City Guard. You’d better return to your Grand General’s Mansion early." Chu Linfeng laughed.
This imdiately dumbfounded Luo Lin. She hadn’t expected the woman in the house to be the guest her father ntioned; this was truly embarrassing to the extre.
Her face quickly flushed red, and she stood there dumbfounded, unsure of what to do.
"ng Ji, don’t feel out of place, this is the daughter of Grand General Luo, usually acting boisterously like a tomboy, liking to dress up as a man and do so mindless things," Chu Linfeng said.
Wei Qun just stood there chuckling, finding it especially satisfying to see Luo Lin being teased by Chu Linfeng.
Luo Lin wanted to retort but seeing the veiled woman looking at her, she held back and said, "Luo Lin didn’t know before that your Excellency is the guest my father ntioned. I apologize for my previous rudeness, and hope the guest will forgive ."
"Haha, little sister, don’t be afraid, I’m very easygoing! Since you’re a friend of Lin Feng, you’re also my friend. I do need a girl to keep
company, being with this blockhead all day is really boring, he has no sense of romance at all." ng Ji laughed.
Chu Linfeng glared at ng Ji and said, "This ti everyone must be cautious. I don’t know what kind of trouble Ying Wanxiong will stir up, but he may have people inside the Imperial City Guard. By then, you might not even know how you die."
Wei Qun and Luo Lin didn’t have a clue what had happened, feeling completely confused by Chu Linfeng’s words.
Wei Qun wanted to open his mouth to ask what was going on, but Chu Linfeng continued, "Let’s just stay in this room and don’t go anywhere, wait for instructions from the Grand General."
"Lin Feng, I’ll be very bored this way, you need to take
out for a walk." ng Ji suddenly said.
Anyone with a bit of sense could guess the relationship between the two from this tone. Chu Linfeng helplessly looked at ng Ji and said, "Could you please stop talking? When n talk, won don’t have the right to chi in!"
This statent almost shocked Wei Qun and Luo Lin into stupor. They hadn’t expected Chu Linfeng to be so rude to the so-called guest, proving that their relationship was indeed not simple.
After Chu Linfeng finished speaking, he even gave ng Ji a smile to show that he had won.
Suddenly, a commotion ca from outside, followed by various sounds. Chu Linfeng knew that Ying Wanxiong was making his move.
"Brother Long, it seems there’s sothing going on outside. Should we check it out?" Wei Qun asked.
"Did you forget what I just told you? Wait for news from the Grand General. Now everyone just wait here. If you are really curious, you can open the door, maybe you’ll see sothing." Chu Linfeng said.
When the door opened, the group saw a scene not too far away with flas shooting into the sky and smoke billowing thickly.
"Damn! I thought there’d be no trouble here, but I didn’t expect Ying Wanxiong’s cronies to be among the Imperial City Guard. Let’s get out of here, or we’ll be dood in this fire!" Chu Linfeng imdiately said.
Although saying ’dood in fire’ was an exaggeration, it was true that staying in would be dangerous.
Once outside, Chu Linfeng saw dozens of Imperial City Guards slaughtering the newly arrived recruits, and he was imdiately enraged, "You think we’re easy to bully? Let’s go! Follow
and wipe out those bastards!"
"Chu Linfeng, those Imperial City Guards are experts of the Celestial Martial Realm. Going over will be like walking to our deaths, and you have a task, the guest needs your protection!" Luo Lin said at this ti.
ng Ji laughed, "No worries, I’ll go with you to see which of those damned guys is so ruthless. Let’s see who kills more!"
After speaking, ng Ji flickered, her whole figure appearing ten ters away instantly. Her speed left Luo Lin speechless in amazent for quite a while...
