Chapter 175: Chapter 176: Cold Wave
Just as Chu Linfeng was about to leave, a dazzling light suddenly flashed from nearby. He carefully glanced over, and it startled him instantly—a massive ice pillar, nearly five ters in diater and ten ters tall, stood there quietly.
"Holy shit! What a huge ice pillar, this damn thing is way too big!" Chu Linfeng couldn’t help but shout.
This ice pillar was obviously much larger than the others; one could imagine how large the ice crystals inside must be. However, the Cold Fla within was certainly more formidable.
"Xiao Xiao, did you see? There’s a big one here. Let’s get the ice crystals from inside this ice pillar and leave." Chu Linfeng said with a smile to the Purple Demon Thunder Fox.
The Purple Demon Thunder Fox also saw the gigantic ice pillar, and with great concern, said, "Big brother, let’s forget it. This ice pillar is so huge, it must be very difficult to break open. We should just leave."

"Damn it! This thing is really tough; I thought it was unbreakable. I’ve struck it about twenty tis, and the consumption is unbearable." Chu Linfeng said, frustrated.
anwhile, from a distance, every attack by Chu Linfeng caused the Purple Demon Thunder Fox to worry once more. The Cold Fla inside the gigantic ice pillar was certainly terrifying and could trigger a cold tide, the consequences of which were unimaginable.
As ti passed, Chu Linfeng began to think that if he kept going, he might crumble before the ice pillar did, as half of his Chaos Qi was already depleted.
"This isn’t the way to go; I need to recover so Chaos Qi first. If sothing suddenly happens and I have no Chaos Qi left, I won’t even know how I died." Chu Linfeng thought to himself.
Seeing that Chu Linfeng stopped his attack, the Purple Demon Thunder Fox curiously asked, "Big brother, why have you stopped? Are you planning to give up?"
"Let’s go back; I can see you’re almost at your limit." Chu Linfeng said.
"You’re really not going for the ice crystals?" The Purple Demon Thunder Fox couldn’t believe Chu Linfeng’s words, knowing his personality would never let him give up without reason.
"Who said I’m not going for them? I’m just temporarily not going now, taking ti to recover so Star Power. This attack is exhausting, and I’m almost out of Heart Power." Chu Linfeng chuckled, feeling no need to hide anything from the Purple Demon Thunder Fox.
"Big brother, you should reconsider. This ice pillar is so massive; it could easily trigger a cold tide. Do you understand what a cold tide is? It’s an existence more powerful than the Cold Fla." The Purple Demon Thunder Fox said worriedly.
"Cold tide? Is it that powerful? Unfortunately, I haven’t heard of it!"
The Purple Demon Thunder Fox was speechless for a mont, thinking how shaless he could be, yet continued, "A cold tide is like a rising tide, instantly freezing the surroundings into ice with a significant drop in temperature. If you’re frozen, there’s no chance of escape; these ice pillars you see are ford this way.
The occurrence of a cold tide has no pattern; it might happen once or twice a year or perhaps not for hundreds of years.
However, a cold tide has one notable trait: it tends to erupt when there are too many Cold Flas or if they’re too large. You’ve already released quite a bit of Cold Fla, and releasing the ones in the giant ice pillar could easily trigger it."
Chu Linfeng found it incredible that such phenona were possible. The Cold Fla was terrifying enough; now there was a cold tide, truly after his life.
"Xiao Xiao, how do you know this? Are you hiding sothing from ?" Chu Linfeng asked imdiately.
"These are things from my mory; they appeared in my mind when I was born. It should be so of my heritage!" The Purple Demon Thunder Fox said, noticing that Chu Linfeng seed to be reconsidering.
"Let’s go back! This isn’t a place to linger; we must quickly get Jingyi to leave." Chu Linfeng said, quickly turning back.
Soon, the silhouettes of Chu Linfeng and the Purple Demon Thunder Fox appeared before Sima Jingyi. "Look, Lin Feng is back." Sima Jingyi said with a joyful smile.
"It seems the boss is a bit off; his brow is furrowed. Sothing must have happened!" The Golden Demon Vulture said worriedly.
"I don’t know; let’s ask him when he cos over."
Chu Linfeng approached the two, and his first words were, "You should leave here quickly; it might beco very dangerous soon."
Such a vague statent puzzled the two. "Why is it just us leaving and not together? What’s going on with Lin Feng; you look a bit worried." Sima Jingyi imdiately spotted a discrepancy in Chu Linfeng’s words.
The Purple Demon Thunder Fox was also surprised. Was he still going to try to get the ice crystals inside the gigantic ice pillar? In hindsight, speaking up earlier might have been a mistake. Now, what to do?
