Seeing the appraisal result, Fang Zhen raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise on his face.
'A Blood Essence Stone inheritance?'
'Did Vampire Count Ellick actually drop a skill?'
He vividly rembered Ellick's erratic and bizarre footwork. It had achieved an effect comparable to one of the Extraordinary Abilities through sheer physical power.
He had thought at the ti that such a body technique would take ten, if not dozens, of years to master.
He'd never imagined that the Blood Essence Stone contained the inheritance for this very skill.
He also suddenly understood how Ellick passed down his soul, and why the new Ellick could exist while the old Ellick was still lying in his coffin, not yet dead.
The new body created by the sanguine ritual was probably similar to a clone; it could only replicate the flesh, not the soul. The mories and soul required a separate thod of inheritance.
And that thod was the Blood Essence Stones.
The old Ellick would first extract a portion of his core mories and skills, crystallizing them into a Blood Essence Stone, which the new body would then absorb through so unknown ans.
Once the new body gained its own consciousness, the old Ellick would fall into a dormant state from the transfer of his soul and mories, and then he would slowly crystallize the remaining Blood Essence Stones.
Finally, once all the Blood Essence Stones had been crystallized and absorbed by the new body, the old Ellick, having lost his value, would truly die.
Both Ellicks, new and old, accepted this transfer thod, allowing the handover to be completed harmoniously via the Blood Essence Stone inheritance.
Except, this ti, the inheritance process had been interrupted by Fang Zhen and the Whig Society.
This also explained why the old Ellick could cast a curse seal like Ice Surge, while the new Ellick could not.
The old Ellick had likely not yet crystallized this skill, so without the Blood Essence Stone inheritance, the new Ellick naturally couldn't use it.
"Heh, case closed," Fang Zhen said with a smile.
When the old Ellick died, he hadn't dropped a Blood Essence Stone inheritance. 'Perhaps that old vampire was too weak at the ti, or the conditions weren't t.'
While part of him found it a sha, another part felt incredibly lucky.
If he had delayed at all and not entered the Ancient Castle decisively, the new and old Ellicks might have completed the entire inheritance process within three days.
The new Ellick at that point would have likely been fifty percent stronger.
Whether he could have defeated a fully-powered Ellick with all his skills was a real unknown.
Having figured out all the details, Fang Zhen felt a sense of relief. The satisfaction of finally putting all the pieces together was imnse.
He turned his attention back to the Blood Essence Stone: Assassination Step.
Assassination Step would be useful in any instance dungeon.
Fang Zhen didn't know how to learn the skill, but he wasn't worried.
So far, the 'Dungeon Life Ga' had never screwed him over.
He was just one point of Constitution short of the requirent.
He still had one free attribute point.
He had planned on waiting for more detailed intel on the next instance before allocating it, but now a more urgent need had appeared. Adding one point to Constitution would allow him to use Assassination Step.
He used his mouse to drag the now-appraised Blood Essence Stone: Assassination Step from the appraisal window back to his inventory. The Blood Essence Stone's icon now seed to have a layer of golden light over it.
Fang Zhen glanced at the physical object in his pocket.
Sure enough, one of the Blood Essence Stones looked as if it was covered in a golden film, setting it apart from the others.
He took out the golden Blood Essence Stone and placed it on his desk.
Then, he controlled the cursor to pick up another unappraised Blood Essence Stone and drag it into the appraisal window.
After dragging the second Blood Essence Stone in, the displayed appraisal fee was 79 rit Points.
'The fee is different.'
'Not surprising. Even if they're both Blood Essence Stone inheritances, the skills are different, so of course their value would be, too.'
He clicked the 'Appraise' button.
After a flash of golden light, the second Blood-colored Crystal was also appraised.

However, it should be noted that Violent Hypnosis can only be used on targets with lower Spiritual Power than the user. If the target's Spiritual Power is higher than the caster's, the hypnosis will fail and may even cause a backlash.

"Heh heh heh…" Fang Zhen couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at the skill from the appraised Blood Essence Stone.
'The skills from these Blood Essence Stone inheritances are incredibly useful.'
'In the real world, these would be god-tier skills.'
With Assassination Step and Extrasensory Prediction, becoming a soccer star would be no problem at all.
The rush was getting to his head; he was tempted to appraise another Blood Essence Stone just to see what skill it held.
His mouse cursor was already hovering over it, but at the last second, he used his left hand to grab his mouse-wielding right hand, barely stopping himself.
Jeez, that felt like edging.
Fang Zhen was getting a little carried away. It was mainly because the Blood Essence Stone inheritances were just too good, like opening blind boxes—but blind boxes with a super-high success rate and extrely useful prizes. No wonder he was getting swept up in the excitent.
'I can't just waste rit Points. I still need to upgrade my skills based on what the next instance requires.'
Fang Zhen controlled the mouse and clicked on his character attribute panel.
His current attributes were:

Strength: 11
Agility: 11
Spirit: 13
Perception: 11
Free Attribute Points: 1
His Strength and Agility had both improved.
It was mainly because his Constitution was high.
To a certain extent, Constitution represented one's innate aptitude or fundantals, like life force and vitality.
