Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Critical Hit Reward—Binjiang No. 1 Villa
Yang Chen: "Hey! Police? Please send soone to the entrance of Jing’an Ho, I’ve encountered an idiot."
Female Passenger: "Hey! Officer, help! The ride-hailing driver is being a pervert, trying to kidnap
and force himself on !"
A police car arrived about ten minutes later.
In sumr, the rain cos and goes quickly, and now it had stopped.
Four officers ca over, knocked on the window, and motioned for Yang Chen and the passenger to get out of the car.
Yang Chen imdiately opened the door and got out, but the female passenger still refused to get out of the car.
The officers asked Yang Chen for his driver’s license and ID, checked them, and returned them as there were no issues.
Then the officers asked what was going on.
Yang Chen was about to speak when the passenger in the car loudly shouted, excitedly: "Officer, he’s being a pervert, trying to take
ho by force!"
The officers quickly questioned Yang Chen about what was happening.
Yang Chen was about to speak again when the female passenger started yelling excitedly once more.
Yang Chen shrugged helplessly at the officers and said, "You can probably guess what’s happening."
The officers quickly cald the female passenger, telling her not to get agitated, and then asked Yang Chen to explain.
Yang Chen didn’t want to waste ti, so he directly played the in-car surveillance video for the officers.
"I told you to drive up the stairs, driver! These shoes are new Hongxing sneakers that I queued for four hours to get. If they get wet or dirty, will you compensate ?"
"I don’t care, you’re in the service industry, you have to satisfy . I’m really dissatisfied with you now, do you understand?"
...
After watching, the officers shook their heads helplessly.
They then gave Yang Chen a sympathetic look.
Yang Chen quickly said, "Officers, you can see how frustrated I am. Please get her out of the car. It’s rush hour and she’s wasting my ti for business. This is my livelihood. Please, help
out."
The officers imdiately tried to persuade the female passenger to get out of the car.
The driver is only responsible for taking her to the designated destination and can’t drive the car up a building, nor is he obligated to carry her up.
But the female passenger continued to argue unreasonably, saying, "What a joke? I paid money! Of course, I should be taken to my door! Look at these shoes! I queued for four hours to buy them, and the ground is full of puddles. If they get dirty or wet, will he compensate ? If he compensates, I’ll get out and walk up myself. If not, he must drive up."
If it weren’t for their professional duty, the officers would have wanted to curse.
How did she grow up to be like this?
Are the people around her like this too?
If there was even one normal person around her, she wouldn’t be like this, right?
The officers quickly said, "This is a car, not an elevator. How is he supposed to drive you up? The driver only needs to take you to the destination, nothing more. Understand? Please get out of the car, don’t delay his business."
"I’m not getting out! If he doesn’t take
upstairs, I’m not getting out! And he just said I should go ho with him, isn’t that harassnt? Are you not arresting him because you’re biased?" The passenger continued her unreasonable argunt.
The officers’ expressions turned serious, and they warned, "Ma’am, careful with your words. We have law enforcent caras recording the whole ti; you’re responsible for your words. He did say to go ho, but considering the context, it’s clear he was driven mad by you and said it out of frustration. There’s no evidence to support or suggest he intended to force himself on you. We can’t arrest soone based on that alone. But you’ve been refusing to get out of the car, causing the driver to lose business. If you don’t get out now, we will take further actions."
"I’m not easily scared! Do your worst! Let’s see what you’ll do!" the female passenger shouted.
The officers imdiately pulled out pepper spray, warning, "Ma’am, please get out of the car! This is your first warning!"
Passenger: "I’m not getting out! He must take
upstairs!"
Geez, she’s really persistent.
Officer: "Ma’am, please get out of the car! This is your second warning!"
Passenger: "I’m not getting out! What can you do to ?"
Officer: "Ma’am, please get out of the car! This is your third warning!"
Passenger: "Warn
three hundred tis, I’m still not getting out! Do your worst, if I... ah, my eyes! What did you spray? Ah, my eyes, it hurts!"
The passenger covered her eyes and wailed, giving the officers a chance to get her out of the car.
The officers then warned, "Ma’am, since you’re suspected of causing a disturbance, we need to take you back for investigation!"
Yang Chen, seeing the troublemaker finally removed from the car, quickly drove away from the scene.
"Phew..." Yang Chen let out a deep breath.
In a big world, there’s all kinds of strange people.
This was really eye-opening, encountering such an idiotic person.
The rain started pouring again, and many people were hailing rides.
Unnoticed, Yang Chen picked up five passengers.
After dropping them off, he felt a bit dizzy.
He opened his thermos and gulped down his tea.
"I should buy so tea leaves," Yang Chen mumbled to himself.
At this mont, the platform system sent a notification.
"Dear Driver, sadly we inform you that you’ve been complained about. Please upload evidence within 24 hours, or the platform will assu that the complaint is factual. You will then face the corresponding penalties."
Yang Chen quickly uploaded the surveillance video and recordings for the custor service team to review.
The platform then sent another notification; he received a negative review.
Yang Chen checked, and it was a negative review from the weirdo wanting him to drive upstairs.
"Ding! Congratulations to the owner for getting a negative review and complaint through your efforts. The system rewards you with 50 grams of Mother Tree Da Hong Pao tea. Please open the trunk to claim your reward."
This system is great; Yang Chen was just thinking about buying tea, and now he’s rewarded with it.
But isn’t 50 grams a bit too little?
Is it worth rewarding just a re 50 grams?
Yang Chen was familiar with Da Hong Pao, but he didn’t really know what type of tea Mother Tree Da Hong Pao was.
Could it be very precious?
Yang Chen quickly searched online.
Wow, who knew? Searching was truly an eye-opener.
This tea is more expensive than gold.
In 2005, an auction of 20 grams of Mother Tree Da Hong Pao tea leaves fetched as high as 208,000 yuan, which ans over 10,000 yuan per gram. Gold compared to this is nothing.
Since 2007, the state has ordered a stop to the harvesting of Mother Tree Da Hong Pao for sale, allowing only scientific research as a reason for picking.
Getting 50 grams is no small feat.
Yang Chen hurriedly went to the trunk to retrieve the Mother Tree Da Hong Pao.
The system was ticulous; the 50 grams were divided into 50 small packages, each 1 gram.
Yang Chen picked up a small package, held it under his nose, and indeed, the tea fragrance was overwhelming.
"This little pack is over ten thousand yuan, quite luxurious," Yang Chen muttered to himself.
Anyway, there are 50 packs, trying one for taste doesn’t seem extravagant, right?
Yang Chen quickly took out a thermos, poured in a cup of water, and then added a small package of tea leaves.
He then covered the lid to let it steep for a while before tasting.
At this ti, his phone buzzed again.
It turned out the passenger who demanded to be driven upstairs was still upset and left another negative review, railing against Yang Chen without holding back.
"Damn, sothing’s wrong with her head!" Yang Chen couldn’t help but curse.
Then, the system sent another notification.
"A supplentary negative review has been detected, triggering a critical hit reward. Congratulations, owner! You’ve been awarded a villa at Binjiang No. 1. Please wait at ho for a delivery tomorrow morning. The property ownership, keys, and related docunts will be sent via courier."
