Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Autographs

[Third Person Pov]

Steve ducked slightly as he stepped forward and then glanced back over his shoulder at the portal he had just walked under, his eyes lingering on the glowing ring of energy as it humd faintly behind him. "What’s...?" he asked, lifting a hand and pointing at it, clearly unsure how to even phrase the question.

"Oh, it’s magic," Peter answered imdiately, a grin already spreading across his face.

"Right... of course. I should have known," Steve replied, his tone awkward as he tried to process that answer without overthinking it. He looked ahead again, still adjusting to everything around him. "Just how much of the world has changed?"

"It’s just him and his group that are weird, not everyone is like that, so it’s best if you ignore him," Nick replied with a tired sigh, not even bothering to look back at Peter.

"Now that’s just rude," Peter said, pouting as he crossed his arms slightly, clearly offended but not seriously.

Steve slowed his steps for a mont and looked more closely at Nick, studying his face like he was trying to place sothing. "I’m sorry, but you look familiar..."

Peter imdiately tucked his lips in and snapped his head off to the side, shaking it quickly as if trying to physically stop himself. ’No, I have to hold it in! I can’t look bad in front of the Captain!’ he thought, barely containing himself.

Harry, who had been watching him the entire ti, kept a straight face before suddenly punching him in the shoulder. "Not cool, bro."

"I didn’t even say anything!" Peter exclaid, throwing his arms out wide in protest as he looked at Harry. "That’s not fair!"

"You didn’t have to say it. I know you too well to know exactly what you’re thinking, which makes you just as guilty. Seriously, don’t embarrass

in front of THE Captain Arica," Harry said, giving him a reproachful glare.

"Hey, if you think you know what I’m thinking, then that just makes you just as guilty because that ans you’re thinking it too," Peter shot back imdiately, glaring right back at him without missing a beat.

Harry paused for a second, then clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Darn."

Steve looked between the two of them in confusion, clearly not following what had just happened, but Nick exhaled sharply and cut through it. "Ignore those idiots. And to answer your question, my father, Nicholas Fury Sr., used to serve as a mber of the Howling Commandos."

Steve’s expression shifted almost instantly as recognition clicked into place. "Yes, I see it now. You are the spitting image of your father, son," he said, a small smile forming as he stepped closer and placed a hand on Nick’s shoulder, clearly relieved to find sothing familiar in all of this.

"Wait a minute," Peter said, already snickering as he leaned forward slightly. "You’re a junior?"

"Oh, for the love of..." Nick muttered, dragging a hand down his face in frustration.

"Hehehe, you and I both know I shouldn’t have gotten a hold of that information," Peter continued with a mischievous grin. "Junior."

"I don’t rember giving you permission to call

that," Nick replied flatly, irritation clear in his voice.

"Is soone shy because THE Captain Arica is watching?" Peter teased, giggling with his usual chaotic energy.

"Co on, Nicky J, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about our love," Peter added, spreading his arms wide as he leaned in and draped himself over Nick’s shoulder like they were actually close.

"You have one second to let go of

before I have every agent in this base gun you down," Nick said through gritted teeth, his patience clearly gone.

Noticing Steve’s growing confusion as he watched the interaction, Peter decided to quote on quote help. "Junior here and I were lovers in our past lives, but he’s too shy to admit it and resorts to violence and anger," he explained casually, "I’ve told him many, many tis now it’s an unhealthy form of expressing himself but he’s too stubborn to listen"

Harry was already snickering beside them, barely holding it together, while Peter kept going. "Honestly, I’ve told him many tis that we should get couple counseling—"

Nick had enough. Without warning, he grabbed Spider-Man’s arm, flipped him cleanly over his shoulder, and slamd him onto the ground.

"Ooof!" Peter let out as he landed flat on his back, now staring straight up at the ceiling.

Nick didn’t even look back at him. Instead, he turned toward Steve and motioned for him to follow with a small tilt of his head, a faint, satisfied smile resting on his lips.

"I an, honestly, what did you expect?" Harry said with a chuckle as he looked down at Peter.

Peter reached a hand up toward him, a satisfied grin still on his face despite everything. "So worth it," he muttered as Harry grabbed his hand and pulled him back to his feet.

...

"H-Hello, sir..." Coulson greeted nervously, grabbing Steve’s hand with both of his and shaking it a bit too enthusiastically, not letting go as quickly as he probably should have. "I’m a big fan of everything you do. You’re the reason I even beca an agent in the first place. You’ve been an inspiration to

my entire life."

"Alright, Coulson, I think he gets it," Maria said with a faint chuckle as she watched the interaction. "You’re scaring him."

"Excuse , Captain... sir," Gwen said, raising her hand slightly as she stepped forward. "Can I get your autograph? My dad’s a huge fan."

"So is my uncle, so can I get your autograph as well?" Peter added quickly, stepping in right after her. "We would really appreciate it, Sir Captain."

"I just want one for myself, if it isn’t too much trouble," Harry said, his tone more reserved, though he still looked hopeful.

"I just want one because it would sell for major money. Imagine the kind of cash I could make from an authentic Captain Arica autograph," Felicia added, already grinning to herself as she pictured the profit.

"Leave him alone, you guys," Clint said as he walked up with Natasha, shaking his head at the growing crowd around Steve. "The guy clearly just woke up. He still needs ti to defrost."

Clint walked past them toward Steve as he casually took his bow off his shoulder. "Which he can do right after signing my bow, of course," he added, holding it out expectantly.

"Wow, how shaless can you be?" Harry said, laughing as he nudged Clint, and the others quickly joined in, lightly pushing him around.

"Yeah, get in line like the rest of us. No cutting," Peter added, giving Clint another shove while Clint just smiled faintly, a little embarrassed but not backing down.

"Sorry about all of them. If you haven’t figured it out yet, you’re pretty much a big deal around here," Natasha said as she stepped up beside Steve, her tone calm but slightly amused.

"It’s alright, I’m surprisingly used to this," Steve replied with a small, stiff smile as he looked at the group. "It’s a bit overwhelming, especially with everything going on, but I don’t mind it too much."
