Chapter 410: Chapter 410: eting the X-n (3)

[Third Person Pov]

After the fan eting finally wrapped up and Peter, along with the rest of the Spider-Family, finished taking pictures and signing autographs, the X-n smoothly transitioned into the next part of the visit. With practiced ease, they began guiding their guests through the sprawling halls of the Xavier Institute, eager to show them around the mansion that also served as a school and safe haven for young mutants.

"These rooms were all remodeled to resemble proper classrooms," Professor Xavier explained as he rolled calmly down the corridor, his voice asured and welcoming. The group followed closely behind him, occasionally glancing through open doorways or peeking at the plaques mounted beside each room. "Here, we teach the younger students a wide range of subjects—everything from how to responsibly control and understand their powers, to more mundane but equally important topics such as mathematics, science, and history."

Xavier gestured toward the X-n walking alongside them as he continued, "You’ve already t so of the faculty here. Ororo—though most know her as Storm—teaches Science and specializes in helping students develop control over their abilities. Hank handles courses involving Algebra, Physics, and Chemistry. Scott, on the other hand, teaches Language Arts while also overseeing classes on strategy and battlefield tactics."

Peter’s eyes widened as he looked over at Scott, clearly caught off guard. "Woah, man—you’re a teacher?" he blurted out. When Scott raised a brow in response, Peter imdiately began waving his hands defensively. "I—I didn’t an that in a bad way! You just look pretty young, so it kinda threw

off."

Scott allowed himself a small pause before replying, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "I’ll take it as a complint."

"Please do," Peter replied with an awkward laugh, scratching the back of his head.

MJ shifted her attention toward Jean, curiosity flickering across her expression. "Are you a professor too?"

"I am," Jean answered with a proud nod. "I recently began teaching a class focused on Ethics, Morality, and Psychology. It’s important for the students to understand not just what they can do, but what they should do."

Peter then glanced upward toward Colossus, his gaze traveling from the towering mutant’s steel-plated boots all the way to his face. "Let

guess," he said thoughtfully, "you’re the P.E. teacher?"

Colossus chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassnt. "Is it truly that obvious?"

Peter burst out laughing. "Woah, I was just ssing with you—and I was right?" He reached out and began patting Colossus’s tallic arm appreciatively. "Don’t worry, big guy. Physical Education is just as important as any other class."

"Touch," Peter muttered absentmindedly as he started running his fingers along Colossus’s chro arm, fascinated by the texture.

"Stop it," Gwen hissed, quickly swatting his hands away. She cleared her throat, her cheeks tinged with embarrassnt. "Please... continue."

"But earlier he said I could—" Peter pouted, his shoulders slumping as he lowered his head dramatically.

A few amused chuckles rippled through the group as they resud walking.

Xavier wore a faint, fond smile as he observed how easily Peter seed to bond with his team. "And right over here," he said smoothly, "we have the cafeteria."

Felicia leaned closer to MJ and smirked. "Look—your favorite subject."

MJ slowly turned her head, locking Felicia in a chilling death glare. "Are you perhaps tired of living?"

"Hahaha!" Peter laughed loudly. "She said lunch is your favorite subject—basically calling you fat!"

"Give us just a mont please," MJ said calmly, raising a single finger.

Before anyone could react, MJ grabbed Felicia by the ear and Peter by the collar, dragging them away like two unruly children. The rest of the group watched in stunned silence as she hauled them to the far corner of the room, forced them to kneel in front of her, and began berating them animatedly.

Rogue and Jean covered their mouths as they snickered, while Kitty openly giggled at the spectacle. MJ’s hands flew wildly as she lectured them, and both Felicia and Peter flinched occasionally, keeping their heads down and avoiding eye contact at all costs.

"Is this normal behavior for them?" Bobby asked, barely holding back his laughter.

"More than I’d like to admit," Gwen replied with a weary sigh.

Once MJ was finished, she grabbed the pair in the sa way she’d dragged them off and marched them back toward the group with an irritated huff, leaving behind a trail of suppressed laughter and wide-eyed amusent.

"Well... I can’t say that wasn’t entertaining to watch," Kitty admitted, a faint giggle still lingering in her voice as she glanced between Peter and Felicia.

MJ let out a small groan and rubbed the back of her neck, a light blush coloring her cheeks. "Sorry you all had to witness that," she muttered, clearly embarrassed despite her efforts to remain composed.

"No, no—don’t apologize," Rogue said with a playful grin, waving a dismissive hand. "You do you, sister. Sotis people just need correcting."

Charles watched the group with an amused, knowing smile. Once he was satisfied that the chaos had fully settled, he smoothly resud leading the tour, seamlessly transitioning into a brief history lesson about the mansion—its origins, past renovations, and the generations of students it had sheltered over the years.

"Wait," Peter suddenly said as they finished passing through the science classroom, his eyes lighting up with excitent. "Are we gonna be, like... guest lecturers here at the school? Because that would honestly be aweso."

Charles chuckled warmly at Peter’s enthusiasm. "Only if you wish to," he replied. "But I’m quite certain the children would be absolutely thrilled to learn from you."

"Oh man," Peter said imdiately, already spiraling. "I’d need to prepare a new suit so I at least look presentable—and what would I even teach? I’d need a lesson plan, handouts, visual aids—"

"Perhapz a lesson about your daily life az Zpider-Man?" Kurt suggested thoughtfully, his tail swaying slightly as he spoke.

Peter froze for half a second before his face split into a wide grin. "That’s actually not a bad idea." He slung an arm around Kurt’s shoulders enthusiastically. "We’ll call it Superheroing 101, featuring Professor Spidey!"

"There is just one more room to show you all," Charles announced calmly as he began rolling forward once more.

"Professor..." Angel spoke up hesitantly, glancing ahead. "Are you sure it would be wise to take them there?"

"It’s quite alright, Angel," Xavier replied reassuringly. "I pride myself on being a good judge of character. Spider-Man and his friends are trustworthy people. Showing them this room will do us no harm."

"Well, that isn’t ominous in the slightest," Aria muttered under her breath, earning a few awkward smiles and quiet chuckles as the group proceeded down a long, isolated corridor.

They soon arrived before what looked like a heavily reinforced vault door, its surface lined with tal plating and marked prominently by a large X-shaped insignia. Charles rolled forward toward the center of the door, and with a soft chanical hum, it slid open automatically.

Beyond it lay a vast, pristine white room—wide, empty, and strangely unsettling in its stillness.

"Welco to the Danger Room," Charles announced as everyone stepped inside. "This is where we train abilities, coordination, and teamwork under controlled—but challenging—conditions."

Nightwing looked around slowly, his trained eyes taking in every angle. "This reminds

a lot of our own training room," he said. "It’s almost identical."

"You guys have your own Danger Room?" Bobby asked, clearly surprised. "I thought this was kind of... our thing."

The Spider-Family nodded in unison.

Aria, however, narrowed her eyes slightly, sensing sothing subtle yet profound beneath the surface. ’This room...’ she thought. ’It feels almost... alive.’

"Can we try it out?" Peter asked eagerly, practically bouncing in place. "Please?"

"The Danger Room isn’t just a place to ss around," Bobby warned. "It’s called that for a reason."

Peter tilted his head, a playful grin spreading across his face. "Are you... perhaps looking down on ?"

"Don’t worry, Bobby," Storm said calmly, stepping in. "He can handle it."

"I can second that," Scott added, adjusting his visor slightly. "My fingers are still tingling from the amount of power I felt earlier."

"Is he really that strong?" Bobby asked, stunned that both Storm and Scott were backing Peter.

"Did you forget," Kitty chid in, "that he once held up an entire skyscraper until everyone was evacuated?" She leaned closer to Peter and whispered, "That was when I beca your fan, by the way. It was very cool."

Peter rubbed the side of his nose sheepishly. "Heh... thanks."

"I literally held back two," Gwen muttered with a slight pout. "But nobody ever ntions that."
