Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Kraven’s War (8)
[Third Person’s PoV]
Peter watched with a weary sigh as the transformation began to take hold. One by one, his forr allies gave in to the primal instincts surging through their veins, the animal DNA in their systems taking over. Their eyes glead with feral hunger, their movents sharper, more erratic—less human. They were devolving into beasts before his very eyes.
Kraven let out a guttural growl and reached for his face, violently tearing the webbing that had been plastered across his mouth. The sound was wet and visceral as the strands tore apart.
Then, with the sound of stepping on glass, Felicia erged from the shattered window she had been hurled through earlier. Her entire body shimred with barely restrained energy, her growl low and guttural, and her silver hair floated wildly in the rising aura around her. Her eyes locked onto Peter with the intensity of a predator.
Peter began counting quietly under his breath, eyes narrowing as realization hit him. "One... two... three... four... five... six..." He stopped, a wry, almost amused smile twitching at his lips. "Oh shit... This is my Sinister Six mont."
A voice crackled through his earpiece—Aria’s voice, anxious and full of exasperated worry.
"Daddy... Now is really not the ti for a mid-fight epiphany. I’m heading over to help."
Peter’s voice turned stern, protective. "Don’t you dare, baby girl. This is my mont. Not to ntion, if you co in now, you’re just going to get hurt, and I won’t be able to protect you properly. I need you safe—for later. I’ll handle this."
With a sharp inhale, Peter pulled his hood up over his head, his hands sliding into the pockets of his suit as he lowered his head. His entire body started vibrating—barely visible tremors building up speed and charge.
A united, inhuman roar erupted from the group as they all charged at him from every direction.
Felicia lunged first, soaring through the air toward him with claws bared. A portal opened on his opposite side as MJ dropped down from above, her massive spider limbs already poised for attack. Harry and Lizzy ca swooping down from the sky, energy blazing around them like teors. Gwen swung in on a web-line, her eyes glowing and a light-blue stinger forming from her wrist. Kraven ca from the front, his twin daggers flashing with murderous intent.
They were all closing in—fast.
Peter’s body reached a critical vibration point. Bolts of electric-blue energy burst from his form, dancing wildly across his suit as he surged with speed. The world around him slowed to a crawl, every breath of wind and flicker of movent dragging like molasses. His lenses slid shut.
’You know,’ he thought to himself with dry humor, ’if they really had gone fully feral, they’d be attacking each other by now instead of ganging up on . Guess so part of their brains still knows who’s about to hand them their asses.’
From beneath his hood, brilliant streams of crackling blue energy sparked from his closed eyes, fizzing in arcs.
The mont they reached him, Felicia’s foot shot straight through the air—passing right through his head. An afterimage. A fake.
The real Peter was already airborne above them, upside down in mid-spin. In a flash, he fired two webs downward, anchoring them to the street. With a mighty yank, he propelled himself downward—his feet crashing into the backs of Harry and Lizzy, slamming them into the pavent with enough force to crack concrete. Dust and debris exploded outward as they gasped in pain, the air knocked from their lungs.
MJ’s spider-leg ca slicing in from the side . Peter caught it with one hand, spinning with the montum. He twisted midair, kicking Felicia squarely across the face with the force of a cannonball. She went sailing back through the air, flipping uncontrollably before crashing into a parked car.
Without missing a beat, Peter rotated again and drove his knee into MJ’s face, sending her spiraling backward until she smashed through the side of a building with a thunderous boom.
Gwen was next. She swung in fast, her stinger slicing through the air. Peter twisted his body, narrowly dodging the glowing weapon by re centiters. As her arm passed by him in slow motion, he caught her by the wrist. His other hand pulled back, fist clenched and glowing violently with unstable, crackling blue electricity—his chi and kinetic energy synced to perfection.
He slamd the punch into Gwen’s mask.
The impact sent a ripple through the air as Gwen’s body lit up like a lantern from the kinetic feedback. The force of the strike shattered part of her mask and triggered an explosive shockwave that didn’t just blast Gwen backward—but also hurled Kraven away like a ragdoll, his body smashing into a light pole that bent on impact.
"Sorry, my loves," Peter muttered as he landed back on the ground with effortless grace, "Please don’t file a dostic violence lawsuit after this..."
A blast of intense heat flared across the battlefield.
Lizzy had recovered and now hovered in the air, fire dancing around her. But what she saw wasn’t Peter—it was Kraven. Her vision, twisted by the poison, betrayed her.
With a scream, she thrust her hand forward and unleashed a torrent of flas—a surging inferno that devoured the street in its path, lting pavent and disintegrating everything it touched.
Peter didn’t hesitate. He punched the air with explosive force, his fist glowing with chi and charged with electricity. The resulting shockwave t the fire head-on.
The collision was spectacular.
Electricity t fla in a violent dance, the shockwave turning the firestorm into a cyclone of blue-charged embers. The raw energy split the sky for a mont before the entire blast scattered in a rain of glowing sparks.
Peter stood firm in the center of it all, smoke swirling around him, crackling with lightning.
And he hadn’t even broken a sweat yet.
"Ugh!" Peter grunted as he staggered, a sharp pressure squeezing around his mind like an invisible vice. He clutched his head for a second, teeth gritted. Sothing—soone—was eating away at his ntal defenses. He could feel it, like sandpaper scraping across his thoughts.
It was MJ.
Standing just behind the chaos, her eyes glowed with a haunting intensity as she activated her power—ntal erosion. A psychic power that chewed through Peter’s concentration, fracturing his battle focus with each pulse.
And then, out of the swirling smoke and crackling energy of the previous attack, Harry erged—his hoverboard humming with power beneath his feet. A glowing orb of green chi charged in his hand, radiating with deadly intent. He darted forward and smashed it straight into Peter’s face. The impact exploded with force, sending Peter skidding back through the rubble.
Before he could recover, Felicia appeared overhead. She flipped midair with elegant precision and brought her heel down in a crushing dropkick, slamming against Peter’s chest with full strength. His suit absorbed the impact—but Felicia’s superhuman force triggered its energy release chanism.
The kinetic energy surged outward in an explosive pulse, but Peter reacted on instinct. He grabbed Felicia’s leg and unleashed the power he had stored through his own speed.
"AHHHHHH!!!" Felicia scread as a torrent of electrical energy coursed through her body. Sparks crackled across her limbs, the glow illuminating her face as her body convulsed.
Harry attempted to retreat, twisting around on his hoverboard to launch a counterstrike—but Peter wasn’t letting up. He spun Felicia in a brutal arc and hurled her straight at him. Her electrified form crashed into Harry mid-flight, and the combined surge enveloped them both in a crackling storm of electricity. The force threw them into a nearby wall with a resounding boom.
But there was no ti to celebrate.
Peter was under assault from every direction. His enhanced senses were overwheld by the barrage of attacks. He moved like lightning, using his super speed to weave and dodge, but MJ’s ntal interference and Felicia’s chaos aura made the fight far harder than it should’ve been. Every second was a struggle against instincts, psychic pressure, and calculated teamwork from his corrupted friends.
anwhile, the Mirror Dinsion—the surreal, reflective battleground warped by magic—was tearing itself apart. Buildings fractured into kaleidoscopic shards, roads twisted into infinite loops, and the skies cracked like broken glass. Amid all this chaos, Peter had another challenge: making sure that Kraven’s n—innocents or not—didn’t get killed in the crossfire.
Two of them were cradled in his arms now as he ran full tilt across a wall of the warped dinsion, explosions trailing behind him.
A bolt of blistering fla exploded behind him, the heat scorching the air where he had just stood. Peter flipped midair, twisting to avoid a barrage of chi blasts fired by Harry, now recovered and relentless in his pursuit.
Gwen joined the chaos, her limbs bristling with icy constructs—long, jagged blades made from condensed, glowing frost. Peter’s feet flared with a powerful repulsor burst as he used it to vault over her barrage. He soared high into the air, arcing gracefully.
Landing atop a warped telephone pole, Peter stuck the unconscious n there with quick webs. One fluid motion later, he launched himself off, drawing everyone’s attention away from them and back onto him.
Sorsaulting through the shattered sky, Peter crossed his arms as glowing chi surged through them. With a sharp cry, he unleashed twin crescent-shaped energy blades that streaked through the air like cots. The glowing arcs collided with MJ’s massive spider construct, slicing it apart. The construct shattered spectacularly—glass-like limbs flying in every direction.
The attack didn’t stop there. The blades slamd into MJ’s chest, sending her flying back. Fortunately—or unfortunately—her armored suit absorbed the majority of the damage, glowing from the impact but sparing her from severe harm.
But then, Felicia’s infamous bad luck field kicked in.
Peter wasn’t the only one affected by her bad luck, so was everyone else. The stored kinetic energy within MJ’s suit discharged unpredictably. A concussive burst of raw force exploded outward, disrupting everyone’s attacks mid-motion. Gwen’s next strike was sent wide. Harry tumbled out of control. Lizzy was flung backward by the shockwave. The entire battle space beca a storm of bodies and energy.
Felicia, had instinctively used the chaos to her advantage. She surfed the blast wave, boosting herself forward like a bullet fired from a railgun. Her body sliced through the air, homing in on Peter with incredible speed.
Peter saw her coming, and he prepared to end it in one move. He gathered the power within him—pulling electricity, chi, speed, and focus into a single point. But due to Felicia his energy beca unstable and betrayed him. It backfired, detonating inside his system with a violent discharge.
"Aghh!" Peter staggered, pain lancing through his body.
Felicia seized the mont. Her claws slashed down—and the instant they made contact with Peter’s chest, all the unstable energy stored in his body detonated at once.
A blinding storm of electricity erupted from Peter’s core.
Lightning cracked and danced across the mirror world, shattering the air with deafening booms. The very fabric of the Mirror Dinsion trembled—fracturing at the seams like thin ice beneath a hamr. Then, with a massive shockwave and the sound of collapsing glass, the dinsion shattered completely.
Felicia’s montum drove her forward—and she tackled Peter straight out of the collapsing pocket reality.
Together, they crashed back into the real world—through the mirrored glass of a towering skyscraper. Glass exploded outward as their bodies slamd through windows and steel, spiraling toward the city below.
New York scread back to life around them. Alarms blared. Cars screeched to a halt. Civilians ducked for cover as two superpowered beings fell from the sky like cots.
