Chapter 48: Chapter 48 Spoils of War
"Get down here! I’m going to eat you!" Man Lie roared up at Huang Yi with such ferocity that, despite the distance, the thundering sonic waves still made Huang Yi’s ears rumble, stirring his blood fiercely. However, to Huang Yi, this waterfall was a lifesaver. He flapped his wings vigorously, using all his strength to fly at full speed towards the opposite bank of the waterfall. Under the huge moon, his silhouette cut a rapidly flying dark shadow.
Man Lie, on the ground, had to stop at the edge of the waterfall, watching Huang Yi’s figure grow more distant and roaring in anger. He picked up all the stones nearby and threw them at Huang Yi!
Huang Yi narrowly dodged the stones, straining with all his might to fly to the other side! Once past, all would be well. If he failed to make it, he and Little White Cat would plumt into the abyss below the waterfall, shattering their bodies.
