Chapter 201: Airspace Ban Ritual

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. On the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, Zhou Ming’s squad formally advanced into the Panlong Mountain Range.

According to the “Cocoon-eating” plan introduced by Yan Hong.

The military would suppress the Giant Race head-on, while Transcendent-level Beast Tars restrained the elite giants.

The professional Beast Tars who had been conscripted would clear out the alien races from the eastern and western flanks, then gradually compress the Giant Race’s living space within the Panlong Mountain Range.

The stronghold where Zhou Ming was stationed had ten Beast Tar squads, with each squad having a professional Beast Tar dispatched by the military serving as the captain.

Their main duties were to supervise the conscripted Beast Tars to prevent them from shirking responsibility, to diate disputes and avoid internal conflict, and to provide intelligence on the Giant Race.

If one killed a single giant, or killed three lower-tier alien warriors, one could not only withdraw from the Alliance Conscription, but also choose to operate independently.

Lower-tier alien warriors possessed strength equivalent to that of professional Beast Tars, though they were weaker than Beast Tars of the sa rank.

If one was lucky enough to slay a special alien profession, such as a priest.

Then the rewards obtained would be even greater.

Just as Zhou Ming and his group entered the Panlong Mountain Range, the Giant Race was likewise making preparations.

In the core region of the Panlong Mountain Range, an area that had originally been filled with towering peaks had now been flattened by the strong mbers of the Giant Race, forming a level expanse several kiloters across.

At this mont, large numbers of giants several ters tall were carrying logs over a ter in diater, along with massive rocks they had excavated, as they constructed various buildings.

Judging by the situation, the Giant Race seed to be planning to live here for a long ti.

At the very center of this flat land, a fifty-ter-tall totem pillar was planted firmly into the ground.

Although there was no priest to sustain an earth barrier over a long period, raising a shield that blocked detection was still no problem, much like the air-defense barrier of Qinghui Base.

Behind the totem pillar stood a thirty-ter-tall hall with an extrely crude and rugged style.

It was clear that it had been rushed to completion in a short amount of ti.

Inside the hall, there were only two elite giants, both already exceeding fifteen ters in height.

Compared to Blue Star’s Beast Tars, the strength of these two elite giants was already comparable to that of high-level Transcendent Beast Tars, or perhaps even stronger.

One of the elite giants had a physique like a mountain, radiating an oppressive majesty. Combined with his strength, the surrounding air felt as heavy as rcury.

He was the chieftain of the giant tribe before them, and the elite giant facing him was the tribe’s Grand Priest.

The latter’s body was noticeably thinner. His dark-yellow skin was covered with various ferocious beast tattoos, and a mysterious aura flowed from him.

“Grand Priest, is the ritual formation ready?”

The Giant Chieftain’s voice was like a muffled thunderclap suddenly exploding within sumr clouds, and the language he used was extrely harsh and cumberso.

“Almost. It is expected to officially activate today.”

The Grand Priest set down a ceramic cup as large as a water vat in his hands and gave the answer his chieftain wanted.

“That is good. Although the strength of the Blue Star Human Race is very weak, they are skilled at making various little gadgets, which still pose a certain threat to ordinary tribe mbers.”

“If the rules of the Tamu World did not prevent these little gadgets from operating, capturing so slaves to manufacture them would not be a bad idea.”

The “little gadgets” ntioned by the Giant Chieftain were clearly Blue Star’s technological products, and from his tone, he seed quite familiar with Blue Star.

As for the rules of the Tamu World not supporting the operation of these gadgets, it appeared that technological items could not be used in his original world.

More likely, however, it specifically referred to electronic devices.

“Chieftain, Grand Priest, the Airspace Ban Ritual formation has been prepared.”

The Giant Chieftain looked toward the Grand Priest.

“Grand Priest, I will trouble you.”

“For the sake of the tribe, this is what I should do.”

The Grand Priest rose and left the hall, arriving before the tribe’s inherited totem pillar. Using mysterious incantations, he began communicating with the natural spirits hidden within the pillar.

Centered on the giant encampnt, each surrounding mountain peak had an outstanding-grade totem pillar erected, all placed according to special positions.

Around these totem pillars, the corpses of hundreds upon thousands of high-tier Ferocious Beasts were piled like mountains, clearly ant to use their flesh and blood to carry out so plan.

At the center of the camp, as the Giant Grand Priest’s chanting grew louder and louder, the totem pillar began to bloom with white light and started resonating with the other totem pillars standing on the mountain peaks.

At this mont, all the elite giants of the Giant Race appeared, as if safeguarding the ritual for the Giant Grand Priest.

As the ritual formation began, the piled Ferocious Beast corpses seed to lt like burning candles into pools of blood, eventually all rging into the interior of the totem pillars.

In the next instant, the Giant Grand Priest seed to communicate with heaven and earth. The mountain range faintly trembled, and wind and clouds began to churn.

Then, with the encampnt’s inherited totem pillar as the core, a giant phantom rose, growing from small to imnse, standing like a mountain among the ranges.

The changes in the Panlong Mountain Range were naturally detected by Blue Star’s humans at the first possible mont.

Under their gaze, the giant phantom transford into countless white points of light and vanished into the Panlong Mountain Range.

Such a scene was naturally also witnessed by Zhou Ming’s squad.

“Captain, what was that?”

Fire Fox imdiately spoke up to ask the squad leader Yan Hong. The scene just now had been terrifying, and the squad mbers faintly sensed that sothing bad had happened.

“The Airspace Ban Ritual formation.”

Yan Hong’s expression was also sowhat gloomy as he slowly spoke those words.

“Does that an flight is prohibited?”

Based on Yan Hong’s words, Zhou Ming made a simple inference about the effect of the Airspace Ban Ritual formation.

“You are only partially correct.”

Yan Hong then slowly revealed the details of the Airspace Ban Ritual formation.

“Dinsional Rifts have appeared on Blue Star for a thousand years. We obtained transcendent knowledge from the alien races and opened a transcendent path that belongs to our Blue Star.”

“And the alien races have likewise co to understand us humans, gradually developing various thods to counter our technological power.”

“Because of the appearance of energy particles, Blue Star’s electromagnetic environnt beca more complex. Both long-range communication and satellite monitoring were affected in various ways.”

“With the research of the Alliance Academy of Sciences, this situation had gradually improved, allowing us to conduct short-range communications and use short-range missiles.”

“And the alien races’ Airspace Ban Ritual formation is ant to once again intensify the complex electromagnetic environnt.”

“Within the covered area, satellite monitoring fails, electronic devices cannot be used, and wireless communications fall into chaos.”

“The result is that satellites in outer space see nothing but a blank when probing the no-fly domain. Aircraft and missiles crash directly when approaching it, and man-made flying devices cannot take off.”

“Combined with the complex mountainous terrain, machinery that does not rely on electronic devices is also difficult to deploy. One can only rely on Beast Tars or the firearms in soldiers’ hands to fight the alien races.”

“That is to say, even if the Alliance wanted to use nuclear weapons, they would be unable to threaten the core region of the Panlong Mountain Range.”

Zhou Ming imdiately realized that, aside from Legendary Saints, most of the Alliance’s thods had already beco ineffective against the Giant Race.

“Correct.”

Seeing the squad mbers looking at him, Yan Hong could only nod and acknowledge Zhou Ming’s inference.

Upon hearing this news, everyone instantly felt trendous pressure.

Once the military could no longer rely on technological weapons to suppress the Giant Race and its affiliated races head-on, the dangers they would face would multiply, because the giants would then have more power available to deal with them.
