Chapter 59: down ti (2)
Shiva was inside the granary. It would be her new makeshift base until her old one got rebuilt. By now, most of the civilians she was holding there had gone, either to see the conditions of their hos or to see if sothing had happened to their families.
In her office, that was now simply two chairs that were close to one another, She turned to Harold, who was now much more composed after everything was said and done.
"So, how are you holding up? I know everything that happened might shock you, and I won’t bla you if you’re stunned."
Turning to look at her, shiva could see that although he was normal, his eyes were more focused. "I’m fine actually. It’s a sha I took this long, but it seems I’m having more of a wake up call."
Shiva: "And what exactly are you realizing?"
"Follow ."

They soon made it to the entrance of Barktown. As they walked up, shiva saw caravans lined up, filled with boxes and barrels of food and dicine. This line stretched from the gated entrance all the way to the town square.
Shiva was good at hiding her emotions, but clearly not enough in the mont. Harold noticed her eyes widening and smiled.
"It costed a fortune, but I have that and just a tad more to spare."
"Im glad you’re taking a more active role and not sitting in so bunker waiting for this to all be over."
Harold looked at her for just a mont.
’Please, she’d have
dragged out in the first few hours.’ Snapping out of his thoughts, he decided to use words more suited for conversation. "I need to take a more proactive role in the future of this town, I’m just acting accordingly."
Just as Harold was feeling good about himself, a thought rang into his brain that evidently left him daunted. Shiva took notice.
"What’s on your mind now?" Was he going to have another awakening?
"Hey so uh...my house is destroyed, and I went all in on rebuilding the town. Surely you have so space I can use in the anti?"
Harold asked tilting up his glasses.
Shiva: "Sure, just try not to annoy anyone and we can find you a place to rest."
Just then, a few n walked over, so volunteers, people who weren’t too badly affected by the attack and others were people who he paid to help, coming from other towns or villages.
Noticing his ticket out of this embarrassing situation he quickly took it. "Do you n need assistance?"
One of the young n responded "yes,We need help on the rebuilding efforts. We can’t understand so of these design choices."
"Right then. I’ll see you later miss shiva."
Shiva: "likewise."
In her thoughts, she contemplated. ’He seems to be doing alright everything considered. Now to wait for those scouts.’

Back at the guild, two unfamiliar n walked inside. Looking around and finding the receptionist, the older one smiled.
"Excuse
miss, may I ask you for any missions you might have? My idiotic brother loves wasting money, we’ll take any job."
The receptionist looked a little worried, but answered. "Yes actually. I was already assembling a group to go find a few newcors. I sent them on a mission and they haven’t been back in a while."
The bartender to her side tilted her eyebrow up. "That happens all the ti, she just thinks their leader is cute."
She then had to quickly duck under a cup that went flying in her direction. "Now that Vivian is done speaking, I’ll continue. They were only supposed to be scouting, the mont they found sothing they had grounds to leave. The fact they they aren’t here ans sothing unusual is happening."
"Yep, that sure is strange, but we’re up for a challenge. Who are we working with?" Said the younger brother.
The reception pointed to a group of people in leather armor, five total. They seed to be a jovial bunch. Most were drinking but all seed imrsed in conversation. Whatever it was had to be the funniest thing on the planet.
The older brother shrugged his shoulders "at least the ride there won’t be boring. How about the pay?"
"Five silvers for each person involved. Your job is to investigate what happened and if you face any danger, your job is to return imdiately. Stronger adventurers will handle things if they get out of hand."
Hearing everything they needed to know, the brothers were pleased. "What is your na miss, before I hit the road?"
"It’s Daphne. And you sir?"
"I’m Noah ma’am."
"And I’m Daniel. I’m glad we all know each other’s nas."
Daphne: -_-.....
Noah: "I really do apologize for bringing him here."
