Chapter 145: Lady rlin du Vulcain
Two days later, Kaiser headed to his demonology and angelology class. The course was taught by Professor Lady rlin du Vulcain, an elf from Yggdrasil renowned for her expertise in the subject. He walked with his hands buried in the pockets of his uniform, his posture relaxed, almost carefree. When he reached the heavy door, he pushed it open without hurry and stepped inside.
A deafening clamor greeted him imdiately: loud, overlapping conversations. Ignoring the commotion, he climbed the few steps leading to the upper rows, made his way to his usual seat near the large window overlooking the main courtyard.
He sat down, rested his elbow on the desk surface, and propped his chin in the palm of his hand. His gaze drifted outside, where groups of students hurried past, chatting animatedly.
Suddenly the door opened again with a slight creak. A woman entered, and the atmosphere changed instantly. All eyes converged on her as if magnetized, and a relative silence fell over the room.
She wore a shiny black bodysuit with a deeply cut design at the hips and a plunging neckline. The top featured translucent black lace panels that hinted at the curves of her breasts, along with a high collar framing her neck.
Her orange hair fell in a smooth cascade over her shoulders and down her back. Her vivid orange eyes swept across the audience. Her full lips, lightly tinted pale pink, were slightly parted.
Her figure was voluptuous: wide hips, generous thighs, an extrely large bust that strained the tight fabric of the bodysuit. A thin black stocking clung to her legs up to mid-thigh. Her skin had the pallor and smooth texture typical of elves. Like all elves, she exuded an aura of arrogance. Pointed ears. However, unlike Seraphina or the other elves, her clothes were provocative and left very little to the imagination.
She perfectly embodies the pretentious slut she claims to be, Kaiser thought, watching her without the slightest attempt to hide it.
Their eyes t for just a fraction of a second. A quick smile brushed her lips before vanishing imdiately. No other student seed to notice the silent exchange.
"Good morning, everyone," she finally declared in a clear voice that cut through the last murmurs.
At the sa ti, she advanced toward the podium, swaying her hips in a motion that sent a ripple through the boys’ rows. So stiffened in their seats, others exchanged sly glances and knowing smiles. An excited whisper ran through the room.
’If my mory serves
right, she’s fifty-six years old,’ Kaiser continued ntally, keeping his expression impassive.
’An eighth-circle mage specialized in the use of fire and lava. In the novel, the author describes her bluntly as a noble with loose morals who only mates with n she deems worthy of her beauty and status.’
A lazy, slightly cynical smile stretched his lips.
’Judging by her walk and the way she flaunts herself, she certainly earned that title of elven nobility whore,’ he murmured inwardly.
rlin reached the desk, placed her hands flat on the surface, and scanned the room with a piercing gaze that seed to probe every student.
"Before we dive into the main topic, I’d like to assess your basic knowledge," she began. "Can you tell
what you know about the Thousand-Year Holy War?"
A student in the front row, a human with red braids, raised her hand.
"The Thousand-Year Holy War is the major conflict that pitted humanity, aided by the celestial armies of the angels, against the infernal legions of the demons. It ended, as its na suggests, after a millennium of fighting, with the capitulation and forced retreat of the demons into the depths of the abyss, where they were confined," she recited in a clear and confident voice.
"Good," rlin acknowledged with a slight nod. "That’s a correct explanation." She paused, letting her words resonate. "It is essential to understand that demons and angels are, to this day, considered by most scholars to be the two intrinsically most powerful races, endowed with a natural affinity for magic. Their conflict shaped the fundantal magical laws we study today."
She straightened up, crossing her arms under her chest, a deliberate gesture that accentuated her figure and continued in a clear voice.
"Demons are portrayed in canonical texts as systematic persecutors. They are infamous entities driven by a fundantal desire for corruption and destruction. Their organization follows a complex hierarchy, of which we only know fragnts. Most of our information cos from research and speculation." She took a slight breath, letting the words settle.
"They manipulate corrupted mana: demonic magic, derived from demonic mana. This mana is a corrupted force that, according to dominant theories, is at the origin of the very formation of the Tenebris continent, most of which remains unknown to us. When a living being is exposed to and overwheld by this corrupted flow, it undergoes an irreversible alteration of its state or form. It is precisely this phenonon that generates most of the aberrant monsters we fight daily."
She paused, sweeping the audience with a scrutinizing gaze to ensure their understanding before continuing.
"Conversely, angels are praised in those sa texts as paragons of blessing and protection. Their role is described as entirely devoted to safeguarding and prospering the world. Their society is structured in hierarchies, and the most powerful are the seraphs. It is these seraphs who blessed the ancestors of the legendary families." After stating this, she raised a didactic index finger.
While she detailed these elents, Kaiser slowly turned his head toward the large window of the room. The sunny landscape now held all his attention, and the professor’s words reached him only as a distant background noise.
"This concludes our lesson for today," rlin declared.
A murmur of disappointnt ran through the rows of students, who had clearly been captivated. They rose slowly, gathering their things, then began filtering toward the exit. Within minutes, the room was almost entirely empty, leaving only a few stragglers exchanging low words near the entrance.
Kaiser, for his part, packed his notebook without haste and stood up in turn. As he crossed the threshold of the door, a voice rang out behind him.
"Kaiser D. Paragon."
He froze instantly, pivoting on his heels. rlin stood a few ters away, leaning against her podium, arms still crossed. A faint, almost imperceptible smile played on her lips.
"How may I assist you, Lady rlin?" he replied, adopting a calm smile of his own.
She slowly ran the tip of her tongue over her lower lip in a thoughtful gesture before letting her smile widen slightly. "I actually wanted to speak with you after class. Please co to my office."
She didn’t give him ti to agree or ask questions. Turning away, she walked off with confident strides. Her perfectly cut black bodysuit clung to every movent, emphasizing the curve of her waist and the rhythmic sway of her hips. The back door closed gently behind her.
Kaiser watched the retreating figure, his gaze inevitably fixing on the firm, defined shape outlined beneath the fabric. He waited until the last student had left, leaving a relative silence in the room.
’Have the Seraphs blessed
or what?’
"Damn, she’s really... intense," he murmured to himself, exhaling slowly.
He waited a few more monts, then left in turn.
"It’s my tiiii!"
