Chapter 119: You Should Have Kneeled

It was not painful but it was demanding.

[Many spectators are interested in your blades.]

Kaiser activated .

Jasper was violently pulled back toward him.

The two swords struck at the sa ti.

The blades pierced Jasper’s arms and nailed them to the ground. The shock shook the entire area.

Jasper spat blood.

Blood also flowed from his eyes, even when he closed them.

Kaiser stepped back, breathing heavily.

He looked for the blindfold.

Picked it up.

His arms trembled slightly, but his back remained straight.

He approached and gently placed the blindfold over Jasper’s eyes.

"You were a good opponent. Blind Archer."

Jasper smiled weakly despite the blood.

"Blind archer... tch. Next ti, I won’t lose."

A magic circle opened beneath him.

He disappeared.

Kaiser remained alone in the midst of the forest ruins. Everyone except him had been eliminated.

He stored his two swords in the storage ring. The chains retracted around his forearms, leaving red marks still warm on his skin. His breathing was stable, but his muscles trembled slightly. The fight against Jasper had been long.

Then the air changed.

A mass of burning mana split the sky at absurd speed.

Kaiser raised his head just in ti.

BOOM.

The fireball crashed about ten ters from him. The impact pulverized the ground, hurled molten rocks in all directions, and opened a gaping crater from which molten lava imdiately erupted. The heat struck Kaiser full force, burning the air in his lungs.

A silhouette rose in the center of the crater.

Godwin Pendragon.

Two ters of dense muscle, shirtless torso covered in a tattoo of incandescent flas that pulsed to the rhythm of his heart. His skin was marked by heat, his red hair floated slowly under the gravitational pressure he emitted effortlessly. His amber reptilian eyes fixed on Kaiser like one observes an interesting animal.

He stepped out of the crater walking on the lava, without the slightest protection.

Each step crushed the ground.

Godwin stopped in front of Kaiser, slightly taller than him, looking down.

"I like you, little guy."

"I want you in my faction."

Kaiser frowned.

"First... who are you?"

Godwin’s smile widened. Slowly. He placed his large hand on Kaiser’s head.

The pressure hit imdiately.

The ground beneath Kaiser’s feet cracked, then collapsed. A circular crater ford under him. Gravity was distorted, compressed on a single point: Kaiser.

Godwin spoke calmly.

"You can call

The Pendragon. The Judgnt of Seraph Michael."

The pressure increased.

Kaiser’s bones creaked. His knees sank into the ground. The air around him vibrated.

But he did not bend.

He slowly raised his head, eyes cold.

"You think any piece of shit with a god complex can co here..."

He brutally seized Godwin’s wrist.

The pressure exploded in both directions.

"...and intimidate ?"

Godwin’s eyes widened slightly. Then he burst into laughter, revealing his molars.

His body began to emit burning steam. Fire and gravity mana fused around him.

"Fool. No one refuses —"

"I have no intention of joining your shitty faction."

Kaiser stepped back and drew a sword from his ring.

The blade was whitish, almost translucent. A chain hung from the poml.

The mont his fingers touched the handle, the chain wrapped around his arm with a dry click.

His aura exploded.

Godwin leaped back, digging the ground behind him.

Kaiser raised the sword.

"I will never be prey... Here, I am the predator."

Godwin smiled, excited.

"Interesting."

Kaiser placed his foot back.

Aura surged violently into the blade.

"If you wanted to dodge..."

He brought the sword down.

"...you should have knelt."

A white crescent-shaped slash burst from the blade. It crossed the air in a fraction of a second, crushing the gravitational pressure around it.
