Chapter 117: Jasper Del Luna Vs Kaiser D. Paragon

Jasper Del Luna had eliminated more than a hundred students during the exam. So had collapsed without understanding what had hit them. Others had been struck while still running, convinced they were out of range. No screams, no prolonged duels. One arrow. Sotis two. Always in the right spot.

The battlefield was silent.

Kaiser advanced, gaze fixed, Perception Eye activated permanently. Without this ability, he would already be dead. The mana arrows arrived without warning, without any visible trajectory. They seed to appear directly at head height, chest height, or leg level.

He tilted his torso at the last mont.

An arrow grazed his left shoulder and exploded on impact with the ground behind him. The detonation sent rock fragnts flying and a shockwave that forced him to slide several ters. Kaiser planted his foot, activated a brief Aura Repulsion to cancel the montum, and imdiately resud his advance.

’So you’re the one... the blind archer.’

In the novel, Jasper was neither the protagonist’s friend nor an antagonist. Just a powerful guy who overca all his obstacles to reach the Genesis stage.

’The biggest problem with this bastard is that he can decide whether his mana arrow explodes or not.’

A second arrow arrived imdiately. He raised his forearm, concentrated his aura, and deflected it halfway. The explosion happened too close. The sleeve of his shirt was torn off, the skin superficially burned. Kaiser clenched his teeth, but his heart rate remained stable.

The shots kept coming. Jasper left no downti. Three arrows, then a pause of less than a second, then two more. So exploded, others simply pierced before dissipating their mana inside the target.

Kaiser used Repulsive Aura in short bursts, never continuously. Each use was calculated not to break his style. He advanced without running, without rushing, as if the arrows were rely an annoyance.

[Many spectators are watching you!] [Aura Farming maintained.]

At one hundred ters, Jasper changed rhythm. The arrows stopped.

Kaiser felt it imdiately. A tiny variation in the air vibrations. He threw himself to the side just before a massive, extrely condensed arrow struck the spot where his head had been a fraction of a second earlier. The impact dug a crater one ter deep.

"Tch."

He leaped forward using an aura push under his feet. Fifty ters covered in one second. Jasper retreated, but did not panic. He released his bow with one hand, spun on himself, and fired an arrow at point-blank range without even fully drawing the string.

Kaiser raised his hand to repel it.

Too late.

The arrow exploded less than a ter away. The blast threw him backward, his back scraping the ground. His shirt disintegrated completely, revealing a torso covered in bluish aura. The burn was real, but superficial. Aura Farming was already compensating for the endurance loss.

Jasper gave him no ti to get up.

He rushed into close combat.

The bow beca a blunt weapon. He struck with the lower end directly toward Kaiser’s temple. Kaiser blocked the blow with his forearm, pivoted, and attempted a knee strike to the abdon. Jasper took half a step back, absorbed the impact, and countered with an elbow to the throat.

Kaiser tilted his head at the last mont. The blow passed narrowly, but Jasper imdiately followed with a circular kick to the ribs. The impact was sharp, precise. Kaiser slid across the ground but stood up at once.

"So you’re not just a shooter."

Jasper did not answer. He was already nocking an arrow at point-blank range.

Kaiser used Aura Attraction.

The arrow deviated slightly, just enough to avoid a fatal hit. It exploded against his side. The pain was brutal. His skin cracked, blood flowed. He caught the next arrow with his bare hands.

Explosion.

The shirt was already gone, but this ti the skin really burned. Kaiser stepped back two paces. His breathing remained stable. His aura, however, intensified.

[Aura Farming – Optimal conversion] [Endurance restored]

Jasper frowned slightly. He could not see, but he felt the change.

"I feel like I’m teaching you humility."

Kaiser disappeared from his imdiate field.

Side dash. Then frontal dash.

He appeared less than two ters away. Direct punch toward the face. Jasper tilted his head, let the blow graze his cheek, and drove his knee into Kaiser’s abdon. Kaiser grunted, grabbed the leg, tried to throw Jasper to the ground.

Jasper let himself be pulled, placed one hand on the ground, and used the montum to strike with the bow into Kaiser’s ribs. A cracking sound was heard. Kaiser released his grip, stepped back, took a deep breath.

"You hit like a bad elf! Haven’t you trained enough?"

Jasper fired an arrow at zero distance.

"We’ll see."

Kaiser used maximum Aura Repulsion.

The arrow exploded one ter away; this ti the shockwave pushed Jasper back. He landed on his feet, slid several ters, but stayed stable.

They stared at each other.

Kaiser took one step forward. Jasper did the sa.

They exchanged a series of rapid blows. Fists, elbows, knees. No wasted movent. No shouting. Kaiser had the advantage in raw power. Every blow he landed pushed Jasper back half a ter. But Jasper compensated with precision. He struck joints, sensitive points, breathing.

Kaiser caught an arrow in mid-flight.

Explosion.

"You’re the first to hit

so many tis."

Jasper nocked his bow, aid directly at Kaiser’s heart.

"Likewise, I never would have thought a human who isn’t part of a legendary family could hold his own against ."

Kaiser smiled.

He activated Aura Attraction on the bow itself.

Jasper felt the pull and released the weapon a fraction too late. Kaiser grabbed the bow, spun, and struck Jasper with the reinforced wood directly on the clavicle. The impact was violent. Jasper stepped back, spat blood.

But he did not fall.

He launched a mana arrow at point-blank range, without a bow.

Direct explosion.

Kaiser was thrown backward, crashed to the ground, but got up almost instantly. His aura pulsed. The veins on his arms were visible.

’Aura Farming is really impressive; without it, I would have already lost.’

They faced each other, both standing, both injured.

Kaiser inhaled.

"If this fight continues..."

He took a step forward.

"I’ll win. Not because I’m stronger. But because I don’t get tired."

Jasper smiled faintly.

"We’ll see who is still standing at the end."
