Chapter 114: Naaaaah, I’d Win

This ti, without restraint.

The aura surged toward his right palm, compressing into a dense, unstable mass. The veins in his arm swelled imdiately, visible under the skin. Without warning, Kaiser struck Kris square in the chest.

The shock was imdiate.

A wave of bluish aura exploded from the point of impact and spread nearly a kiloter. The ground cracked, trees were uprooted or shattered into splinters, and the air vibrated violently. Kris was hurled backward like a projectile, plowing the ground for dozens of ters before coming to a stop in a cloud of dust.

Kaiser did not pursue him imdiately.

He covered his entire body with aura.

A dense, uniform layer enveloped his skin, reinforcing muscles, bones, and joints. Every movent beca more precise, faster, more stable. The aura pulsed around him, perfectly controlled.

He then activated a second technique.

His brain accelerated sharply. Information flooded in. Vibrations in the air, tiny shifts of dust, the pressure exerted by each of Kris’s distant steps. Everything was analyzed, classified, anticipated. Kaiser read every movent before it was fully executed.

Kris rose with a roar.

His white hair blazed with energy. His draconic tattoo was fully ablaze. He gripped his spear with both hands, the weapon surrounded by a violent, unstable storm of flas. Each step he took lted the stone beneath his feet.

He leaped.

The spear ca down vertically, accompanied by an explosion of fire. The ground gave way under the impact, forming a deep crater.

Kaiser was already gone.

He used

beneath his feet, propelling himself into the air with perfect precision. In mid-flight, he adjusted his trajectory, then used a second aerial dash, abruptly changing angle.

Kris struck again.

Every blow was destructive. Every attack unleashed raw power capable of leveling a building. Successive explosions shook the area. The spear traced arcs of fire in all directions.

But Kaiser dodged.

No superfluous movents. He passed within centiters of the attacks, his body moving with efficiency. He used repulsion to reposition, attraction to adjust his balance in mid-air.

Then he counterattacked.

Kaiser concentrated aura in his fists and struck.

A first blow hit Kris’s shoulder. The impact produced a violent sonic boom. A second struck the ribs. A third smashed into the jaw. The blows chained together at inhuman speed. Each impact rang out like a detonation.

Kris retreated, but he did not fall.

He suddenly seized Kaiser’s arm.

With monstrous brute force, he twisted it at an impossible angle and delivered a direct punch to the face. Kaiser partially blocked, but was hurled backward through the air.

He stabilized in mid-flight with targeted repulsion, pushing off the air itself, then leaped horizontally.

But Kris gave him no ti.

He threw his spear.

The weapon transford into an incandescent projectile, accompanied by a roar of flas. The trajectory was direct and lethal.

"I’LL HAVE YOUR SKIN, KAISER!"

Kaiser burst out laughing.

"Ahahaha!"

He extended his left hand and activated

at maximum.

The air compressed violently in front of his palm.

But Kris’s raw power was too unstable, too excessive.

The spear tip pierced Kaiser’s palm, tearing flesh and splattering blood on the ground.

"Fool! You really think you can stop that bare-handed!?"

Kris was already in front of him.

He struck.

Kaiser imdiately activated . The aura wrapped around the spear still embedded in his hand and locked its movent. At the sa ti, he pivoted to the right, letting Kris’s fist pass centiters from his face.

"Nah... I’d win."

He spun on himself.

*Slash*

The movent was clean, fast, without hesitation.

Kris had no ti to retreat.

The blade split his chest, tracing a deep gash. Blood spurted imdiately. Kris staggered, eyes wide.

Kaiser landed in front of him, perfectly stable.

He gripped the spear in his wounded hand, blood still flowing between his fingers, without his expression changing.

The fight was being broadcast live on several screens suspended around the arena. Drones flew at different heights, capturing every angle, every impact, every burst of aura. In the elevated noble box, Isabella Donoghan watched the scene without blinking, arms crossed, while Prince Adrian stood beside her, visibly focused.

On the main screen, Kaiser had just hurled Kris to the ground after a violent exchange. The cracked earth bore witness to the raw power unleashed from the start.

Adrian broke the silence.

"Tell ... do you know this Kaiser?"

Isabella briefly looked away from the screen to answer him.

"Yes. Kaiser Paragon. He belongs to one of our duchy’s vassal families. The Paragon county."

Adrian raised an eyebrow, surprised.

"Paragon... Paragon... ah. Aren’t those the rchant nobles who developed plant-based food with the taste and texture of at?"

Isabella nodded.

"Exactly. An invention intended for the Elven nobility of Yggdrasil. Very profitable."

Adrian let out a light laugh, then turned his attention back to the screen where Kris had just risen with a roar, his spear surrounded by an unstable flow of flas.

"I thought they were rchants, not fighters. But this guy... he’s clearly powerful."

Isabella sighed.

"I’m as surprised as you are. Last we heard, Kaiser lacked mana. Classified as useless by most noble houses. So took him for an eccentric, others for a shrewd negotiator with an innovative mind. But no one considered him a threat."

On the screen, Kaiser dodged a frontal attack using aura repulsion beneath his feet, leaping sideways without losing balance.

"His fighting thod is strange," Isabella continued. "He doesn’t use aura like others. His aura... it’s raw, dense, and controlled in an unorthodox way."

Adrian nodded slowly.

"And yet, look at your brother. Kris has awakened the Pendragon lineage. His aura is massive. Far denser than Kaiser’s. Even Duchess Dyana never manifested this transformation despite being pure-blooded."

Isabella pressed her lips together.

"I know. That’s exactly what worries ."

She watched the next scene attentively.

On the field, Kris had just attacked at full power. He planted his spear in the ground and released a circular wave of fire. The shock vibrated the air, hurling debris dozens of ters. The temperature rose sharply.
