Chapter 77: Chapter 75: Make Her Famous, and She Really Beca Famous

Celeste Grant asked, "Do you know Liam Yardley?"

Crescent glanced at her. "He’s the Senior Brother of my Sect. What about him? Don’t tell

you have a crush on him."

Liam Yardley, the Senior Brother of their Sect, was admired by many female cultivators. So when Celeste Grant asked about him, Crescent’s first reaction was to wonder, ’Does she like him too?’

Crescent had harbored a crush on her Senior Brother since childhood. Unfortunately, he only had eyes for that vixen, Jocelyn Grant. ’Not another one,’ she thought. She felt the female cultivator before her was even more beautiful than Jocelyn. ’How could I possibly compete?’

"Whoa, no."

Celeste Grant recoiled with a look of utter disgust. "Like your Senior Brother? Hold on," she said disdainfully. "I’d have to be blind to fall for a dud like that. He has no looks, a terrible build, and I wouldn’t give his Cultivation a second glance. Wait a minute... you don’t actually like him, do you? My friend, your standards are a little low. How can you even stand a guy like that?"

Crescent was speechless.

’Is my Senior Brother really that bad?’ she wondered, shocked that soone could be so disgusted by him. ’Are my standards really that low?’

’If she doesn’t like him, then why ask about him?’

"What are you planning?"

Celeste Grant chuckled softly.

She lowered her voice. "Nothing much. I just have a little sothing for you."

As she spoke, she tossed a mory Stone to Crescent. "Wait until you’re back at your Sect to watch this. It’s a fun surprise," she said with a sly smile. "You absolutely have to see it."

Crescent caught it. "What kind of trick is this?"

Celeste Grant shrugged.

"It’s just a mory Stone. It has footage of Jocelyn Grant cheating on your dear Senior Brother. It’s quite the show. If you don’t want it, that’s fine by ."

At these words, Crescent’s eyes lit up.

"Really?"

Celeste Grant simply turned and walked away.

As she left, she called back one last thing.

"Of course, you can always watch it now, if you’re not afraid of blinding yourself."

Not long after she was gone, Crescent’s shriek, followed by a string of curses, echoed out.

"My eyes! It’s hideous... BLECH..."

"Such disgusting taste... I can’t take it, I can’t take it! That rotten Jocelyn Grant! How dare you cheat on Senior Brother! And with a toad like that! Who are you trying to insult...?"

Later that day, people from the Azure Sky Sect arrived to retrieve Crescent. The ransom was paid, and she was handed over. Several others were ransod and released along with her.

Perhaps finding the situation too humiliating, none of their Sect’s elders ca in person. After all, their disciples had set out to murder soone for their treasures, only to be captured and held for ransom. The higher-ups of the Immortal Sects felt they had lost all face; they hardly wanted to admit those people were their disciples.

The first thing Crescent did upon returning to her Sect was expose Jocelyn Grant’s shalessness. And so, right there in the Grand Sect Hall, she activated the mory Stone in front of everyone.

The figures within were seen embracing and tumbling together.

They called each other ’Brother’ and ’Sister’.

Watching the obscene scene, the minds of everyone present were reeling. They felt like their eyes were about to go blind.

"Utterly indecent! This is a disgrace!"

The Sect Master of the Azure Sky Sect clutched his chest, practically choking with rage. The Elder Peak Masters standing below him were equally furious.

Jocelyn Grant’s master looked horrified. To save face, however, he declared in a cold voice, "Who did this? It must be a setup! This is surely the work of those Demon Cultivators."

But the disciples present couldn’t care less about his words. Instead, they began to gossip amongst themselves.

A few disciples gasped.

"I never thought our Junior Sister was so... wild in private."

"Yeah, I had no idea her standards were so low... She really gets around. Poor Senior Brother, being kept completely in the dark. If I’d known she was willing to stoop that low, I might have had a chance myself."

"You just don’t get it. Sotis you have to look the other way to make things work. I bet Senior Brother doesn’t even mind. Haven’t you all seen how close she is with other male cultivators? I bet she’s been doing this for a long ti..."

The disciples huddled together, whispering amongst themselves.

Jocelyn Grant wasn’t in the Sect at the ti, so she had no idea that she had just beco infamous. Now, everyone in the Sect, from the highest elder to the newest disciple, knew her na.

Standing among the disciples not far away, Liam Yardley looked utterly thunderstruck. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. His hands were trembling.

That’s right—trembling with rage.

He muttered under his breath.

"No, this can’t be happening."

"I don’t believe it."

Jocelyn.

’She loves

so much.’

’We’re truly in love. How could she do sothing like this behind my back?’

Liam Yardley wanted to deny it was Jocelyn Grant, but he knew. He knew it was her. They spent all their ti together; he knew her voice, her every mannerism. And she had used *that* tone of voice to call a man who looked like a toad ’Brother’.

’Damn it, that was supposed to be just for !’

"Stop it! Stop watching! It’s fake! It’s fake!"

He rushed forward, shattering the mory Stone with a sweep of his hand, and then ran out like a madman.

"Jocelyn wouldn’t do this to ."

"There must be a reason."

"Jocelyn..."

"Why?"

His fellow disciples chased after him.

"Senior Brother, don’t dwell on it. Maybe she didn’t an to do it."

"That’s right, Senior Brother, try not to take it so hard. She still loves you."

Listening to their back-and-forth reassurances, Liam Yardley was overco with sha and indignation. A violent surge of qi and blood rose in his chest, and he clutched it, spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood.

’Why? Didn’t I love her enough? Wasn’t I good enough to her?’

’He had always tolerated it when other male cultivators fawned over her. Jocelyn Grant was his Taoist Companion. Only he was worthy of being with her.’

"Get away from ."

"Get lost!"

Standing not far away, Crescent watched her Senior Brother spitting blood and screaming like a madman. He looked nothing like his usual suave, graceful self.

A seed of doubt grew in her heart. ’Are my standards really that bad?’ She turned to look at her other Senior Brothers and suddenly realized that many of them were quite handso too.

She really had liked her Senior Brother before.

But the thought of him having dual cultivated with Jocelyn Grant—and Jocelyn Grant having fooled around with *that* kind of man—instantly extinguished any feelings she had for him. ’Actually, Second Senior Brother isn’t so bad...’

「Elsewhere.」

Celeste Grant was already on her way back to the Bloodfiend Den. This ti, however, she wasn’t taking a Spirit Boat or any other Flying Artifact. Instead, she decided to use the journey to finally master Sword Flight.

Ever since she began her Cultivation, she still hadn’t learned Sword Flight.

’No one would believe it if I told them. A Golden Core Stage Cultivator who can’t even use Sword Flight.’

’How embarrassing. As a transmigrator, I’m a disgrace to the entire Cultivation World.’

Celeste Grant was practicing her Sword Flight. At first, she only dared to fly at low altitudes, slowly increasing her speed as she stood on her sword.

Once again, she pushed the speed too much and ca tumbling out of the sky.

Dizzy and disoriented, Celeste Grant got back up and tried again.

’So this is what Sword Flight is like. Weaving through the mountains in mid-air... who knew it could make you so dizzy before you get the hang of it?’

’I used to get carsick, which was bad enough.’

’Now I get motion sickness from Sword Flight, too?’

"I refuse to accept this! I will master it!"

After falling off her sword more tis than she could count, Celeste Grant finally mastered Sword Flight.

’Aweso!’
