Chapter 168: Chapter 166: If You Think You’re Tough Again, I’m Always Ga

High in the sky.

Standing on the ship, Javier Sinclair’s gaze swept over them. "I have no interest whatsoever in this Immortal-Demon War you speak of," he said calmly. "However, if you’re feeling all high and mighty and decide your head should part ways with your body, just let

know. I’d be happy to oblige at any ti."

Hearing this, the expressions of the crowd below turned ugly—this was true for the people of the Falling Snow Sect, as well as the elder and disciples who had co from the Crimson Sun Sect. All of them were furious but dared not speak their minds. Among them, Raymond Rhodes, the Sect Master of the Falling Snow Sect, had the foulest expression of all.

What could be more infuriating than your opponent not even considering you a threat?

"You..."

’I want to curse him out so badly.’

’But I don’t dare.’

’I can only endure it.’

Still, he was the Sect Leader of the Falling snow Sect, one of the Seven Great Celestial Sects; he had to have so courage.

He cupped his hands in a slight bow. "May I ask for what reason Your Excellency has co to my Falling Snow Sect today?"

’Calm down, calm down,’ he thought. ’With Javier Sinclair’s Cultivation Talent, he’ll surely ascend to the Upper Realm in less than two hundred years. Once this Demon is gone, the Cultivation World will know peace again.’

’If we can’t beat him, we’ll just have to wait him out.’

At this mont, many people present shared this thought. It wasn’t just them; one could say that everyone in the Seven Great Celestial Sects now felt the sa way. Ever since they learned that Javier Sinclair’s Cultivation had reached the Body Integration Realm, they knew they couldn’t defeat him. Their only option was to wait for him to ascend.

The tribulations for a Demon Cultivator were notoriously difficult. The books recorded that when Archfiends underwent their tribulations, their Ascension Thunder Tribulations were overwhelmingly deadly due to the weight of their sins. Nine out of ten were said to perish under the lightning. They hoped, more than anything, that this Demon would die during his Heavenly Tribulation.

Whether he died in the Heavenly Tribulation or ascended to the Upper Realm, the day he left this world would be the day the Righteous Immortal Sects could finally crush the Demonic Sects and rise again.

Javier Sinclair said, "I ca here today for one thing only. A while back, the niece of the Hall of Enforcent’s elder took a liking to a young cultivator from your Sect. I’m not one to care about status, so I’ve approved this marriage. There’s no ti like the present, so just have him co back with us today."

’What does he an, *he’s* approved it?’

’None of us have agreed to this.’

Raymond Rhodes’s eyes widened. ’Isn’t this just pure coercion? So these people from the Demonic Sects are here to steal a groom? This is utterly outrageous!’

"Your Excellency, our Immortal Sects have never intermarried with the Demonic Sects. You are forcing our hand."

Javier Sinclair rely shot him a glance.

With a wave of his hand,

Victor Rhodes, who had been standing below in red robes, was finally able to move.

The mont he could speak, he called out directly to Yvonne Sawyer.

"Yana! Oh, Yana! I almost never saw you again! Heavens, my virtue was nearly compromised! I swear, you’re the only one for ! I didn’t do anything to wrong you, they forced ! You have to believe !"

Upon hearing this,

Celeste Grant’s lips twitched. ’So now I know who the ’fiery’ one is,’ she thought. ’The Young Sect Master of the Falling Snow Sect is the one who dares to chase after love. And here I was, thinking it was a love story between a demonic enchantress and an icy young sect master. I totally shipped the wrong pairing.’

Hearing this proclamation of innocence, Yvonne Sawyer, who was standing beside Celeste Grant, raised a hand to her forehead.

She blushed slightly.

’So embarrassing.’

’Maybe I shouldn’t go through with stealing this groom after all.’

When Raymond Rhodes heard his son’s shouting,

he finally realized who they were here to take.

His gaze imdiately fell upon Yvonne Sawyer. "So you’re the enchantress who bewitched my son."

Hearing this, Victor Rhodes was the first to step forward. "She didn’t bewitch ! I fell in love with Yana at first sight, and I can’t live without her."

Raymond Rhodes pointed at Victor Rhodes, his voice filled with fury. "Silence! You’ve been led astray by this enchantress! I will not approve of you two, so get that idea out of your heads right now!"

Watching from above, Javier Sinclair let out a cold laugh.

"Who asked for your approval? I was rely informing you."

As he spoke, his eyes swept over to Victor Rhodes.

"You’ll be marrying into her family."

Victor Rhodes’s eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly. "I’m willing! As long as I can be with Yana, I’m willing to join the Demonic Sects." ’Besides, I haven’t had a ho for a long ti. It doesn’t matter where I go,’ he thought.

The dignified Young Sect Master of the Falling Snow Sect, a leading figure among the younger generation of the Immortal Sects—what did he just say? He wanted to join the Demonic Sects and even marry into one of their families. This was tantamount to grinding their faces into the dirt.

Hearing this, the people of the Falling Snow Sect grew frantic.

"We do not agree!"

"The Young Sect Master of our Falling Snow Sect absolutely cannot marry into the Demonic Sects!"

Raymond Rhodes could hardly believe what he was hearing. "You rebellious whelp, do you have any idea what you’re saying? You, the dignified Young Sect Master of the Falling Snow Sect, are eager to marry into the Demonic Sects? Have you gone mad?! I do not agree! Your marriage to the Crimson Sun Sect has already been arranged; you cannot go back on it!"

Victor Rhodes laughed.

He looked at his own father and said, "Then whoever arranged it can be the one to marry her. I think you’re still hale and hearty, Father. Taking another wife wouldn’t hurt."

Raymond Rhodes seethed. "You rebellious whelp, you’ve completely turned against ! I’m doing this for your own good!"

"For my good? Don’t try to make it sound so noble." Victor Rhodes sneered at the others. "My departure is exactly what you all want, isn’t it? Don’t think I don’t know... You only see

as a whetstone and a shield for my ’dear’ little brother. You couldn’t care less whether I live or die."

He then looked to his father.

"Isn’t your true chosen heir that illegitimate son of yours? You want

to be his stepping stone? Impossible. I’m done being the Young Sect Master."

As he spoke, he untied the Jade Pendant from his waist and, in front of everyone, smashed it on the ground. "From this day forward, just pretend you never had

as a son! No... I misspoke. Father, you never once treated

like a son. It would be best if we never saw each other again."

"Well, that settles it then!"

Celeste Grant stepped forward with a faint smile. "The young couple is willing, so what are you all opposing? As parents, you shouldn’t have so many hang-ups about status. The Demonic Sects are powerful and prosperous; we’re a perfectly suitable match for you. Considering all the effort you put into raising this child, rest assured, we won’t be stingy with what’s due."

Sothing about her words sounded incredibly off.

Before the crowd could even process what she ant,

Celeste Grant raised her hand and gave a signal.

"Elder Sawyer, what are you waiting for? Present the betrothal gifts and take your son-in-law ho."

Elder Sawyer nodded slightly.

"Yes, Madam."

Zachary Sawyer, the elder of the Hall of Enforcent, appeared to be a very young man, his white hair looking silky smooth. A green snake as thick as a man’s arm was coiled around his shoulder.

Elder Sawyer stepped forward.

With a wave of his hand,

the empty ground in front of the Falling Snow Sect’s main hall was instantly piled high with countless betrothal gifts. The items were adorned with silk ribbons and festive rosettes, creating a joyous scene.

But it wasn’t just that. There were also piles of Spirit Stones dumped casually on the ground, so bright they were blinding. A single glance was enough to be assaulted by the overwhelming aura of the nouveau riche.

"These are the betrothal gifts. We’ll be taking the man now."

The crowd stared at the piles of betrothal gifts. Greed flashed in so people’s eyes, while others, though they clearly coveted the treasures, forced themselves to look humiliated.

An elder from the Falling Snow Sect stepped forward, his face a mask of humiliation.

"A man can face death, but not dishonor! Take your things back."

At that mont, Raymond Rhodes was rather stunned.

’He never expected the Demonic Sects would offer so much in exchange for this son of his.’
