Chapter 151: Chapter 149: Taking a Photo, How Could You Make

Look So Ugly

Aaron Sinclair scratched his head.

He glanced at Jocelyn Grant and said, "This is really hard to understand. Dad, Mom, let’s go ho."

"Let’s go."

The family of three soared into the air and vanished in an instant. From beginning to end, they hadn’t paid Jocelyn Grant any mind at all.

She couldn’t be killed anyway.

Just let her go.

’She’ll just drop more loot next ti. It’s not a bad idea to farm her every now and then. Can’t grind her down too hard all at once.’

Only after Celeste Grant and her family left did Jocelyn Grant finally let her guard down.

’They actually just let

go like that? There must be so kind of sche. Celeste Grant, you didn’t kill

today, but one day I’ll make you suffer the sa pain I’ve endured!’

She looked at the man leaning against her, her face contorted in agony.

Jocelyn Grant took out an Elixir Pill and swallowed it.

After ditating to recover from her injuries, she climbed out of the crater. The thought of Celeste Grant filled her with frustration and rage.

Jocelyn Grant had always thought of herself as the chosen one—soone who could succeed at anything and get whatever she wanted. When did it all change?

"Celeste Grant, I won’t let you go! I will kill you!"

Tears fell as she looked at the man lying in the crater. In the beginning, she had only gotten together with Ivan Hawthorne to reconstruct her Spirit Root, but after so many years together, they had developed real feelings for each other. She truly loved him. It was just a cruel twist of fate.

Jocelyn Grant buried Ivan Hawthorne and erected a headstone for him right there.

Soon, a solitary grave stood in Silverstream Valley.

Jocelyn Grant leaned against the headstone and broke down, sobbing.

She kept vigil at the grave for three days before finally getting up to leave.

Her hand gently caressed the headstone.

"Brother Hawthorne, I have to go now. The mountains are green and the waters are clear here. I’m sure you would have liked it."

"I’ll bring our child to see you in the future. Don’t worry about us; the baby and I will be fine. Wait for . I will avenge you."

With a wave of her hand, she summoned her personal sword and leaped onto it.

She took one last look at Ivan Hawthorne’s grave.

"Brother Hawthorne, I’m leaving."

She tore her gaze away and, with a heavy heart, departed using Sword Control.

’I should go back to the Azure Sky Sect first.’

Her injuries hadn’t fully healed, and she needed to enter seclusion for a while to recover.

Even Jocelyn Grant herself hadn’t expected Celeste Grant to be so powerful now. She was no match for her at all, and even her Immortal Sword had been stolen.

Jocelyn Grant thought of Liam Yardley.

’I wonder how Brother Young is doing. So many years have passed. He must have broken through to the Nascent Soul stage by now.’

She really wanted to see Brother Young as soon as possible.

’Brother Young, wait for .’

After Jocelyn Grant left, Silverstream Valley fell quiet once more.

Only a solitary grave remained in the center of the valley.

Perhaps even Ivan Hawthorne himself could never have imagined that after betraying his clan to be with the woman he loved, he would end up dying all alone here, his body not even taken with her...

After leaving Silverstream Valley, Celeste Grant and her family used Sword Control to fly toward the Bloodfiend Den.

Along the way, they saw a majestic White Tiger flying toward them.

The White Tiger was enormous.

A roar echoed through the air.

Hearing the sound, Aaron Sinclair shot forward, waving from a great distance.

"Cub!"

"ROAR... Young Master, I missed you so much."

Cub had gone ho because his mother, a tigress, had apparently given birth to his little sister, Tigris, and he wanted to see them. When he left, Aaron Sinclair had hung bags big and small around his neck, stuffing them full of Cultivation Resources. It was a rare trip ho, so he couldn’t lose face. The resources Aaron had prepared were enough for Cub’s entire family to cultivate for a very long ti.

This was also why Cub hadn’t left with him on his trip.

Compared to a few years ago, Cub was even larger now.

Cub was now a Seventh Rank Spirit Beast. As a mber of the White Tiger clan with the blood of a Divine Beast, he was very powerful. His current cultivation was equivalent to a human cultivator at the Late Stage of Golden Core.

"Haha, I missed you too, Cub."

He reached out, hugged the tiger’s head, and gave it a good ruffle.

Cub and Aaron Sinclair had grown up together and shared a deep bond. Whenever Aaron went out to cause trouble, Cub was always with him. Many tis, he would even voluntarily take the bla for his young master.

"Greetings, Master and Mistress."

Cub obediently flew a circle around Celeste Grant.

"Cub, what are you doing here?"

"Mistress, when I got back ho, I heard the Young Master was missing, so I rushed over imdiately. It scared

to death! Thank goodness he’s alright."

"He’s fine. Let’s all go ho."

"By the way, I feel like sothing’s missing..."

As Celeste Grant spoke, she subconsciously glanced up.

Then she rembered the fat little bird she was raising back ho.

"Where’s Ruby? I don’t think I’ve seen her since I woke up."

Javier Sinclair glanced at her and said, "You an that little chicken? She went into seclusion a few years ago and hasn’t co out yet."

Celeste Grant started laughing.

"What do you an, ’little chicken’? Don’t you know a Vermilion has to save face?"

On the way back, instead of continuing to use Sword Control, Celeste Grant decided to experience what it felt like to ride in a Rolls-Royce. She sat sideways on Cub’s back, maxing out her cool factor.

Even Celeste Grant herself had to admit it felt aweso.

Celeste Grant tossed the phone to Javier Sinclair.

"Exalted One, take a picture of . Make it a good one."

"You won are so much trouble."

He grumbled, but his hand had already taken out the phone. He expertly opened the cara app and started looking for a good angle.

Sitting on the White Tiger’s back, Celeste Grant even struck a few poses.

"How is it?"

"Are you done yet?"

Javier Sinclair looked at the image on the phone screen and said, "I think I got it?"

Celeste Grant held out her hand.

The phone in his hand flew into hers.

She flipped through the photos.

Her eyes widened.

In that mont, she finally understood all those s about why pictures of you on your boyfriend’s phone always look so bad.

"How could you make

look this ugly? My hair is covering my face in this one! And this angle makes my legs look thick! And this one—is my face really that big? No, delete them, delete them! Let’s do it again."

Javier Sinclair rubbed his nose.

"You’re so demanding."

’I thought I did a pretty good job,’ he thought.

"I’ll try again."

Celeste Grant tossed the phone back to him.

"You have to learn to find the right angles, you know? Otherwise, how are you ever going to be a qualified boyfriend, a qualified husband?"

Javier Sinclair raised an eyebrow slightly.

"And what is that supposed to an?"

Celeste Grant froze, her face turning red.

She gave a slight smile and said, "A ’boyfriend’ is the other half you’re in a relationship with, and ’husband’ ans... well, husband. Alright, you ask too many questions. Hurry up and take my picture. Make it look good! I gotta say, Elder Lawson and his team are really sothing else. They even managed to create a cara function for these phones."

The phones in the Cultivation World no longer had anything to do with technology. Instead, they were crafted using the sa techniques used to refine Magic Treasures.

It truly was the door to a whole new world.

When Javier Sinclair thought about her use of the word "husband," his mood instantly brightened.

After countless attempts at finding the right angle, he finally managed to take a very beautiful picture of Celeste Grant.

She beckoned to him.

"Co here."

Javier Sinclair’s figure flashed and appeared beside Celeste Grant, sitting down.

Celeste Grant held up the phone and leaned in close to him.

The two of them pressed close and took a photo together.

"See? This one’s pretty good, right?"

She was a woman with a boyfriend now.
