??752: Chapter 752: This Beast is Not That Beast

752: Chapter 752: This Beast is Not That Beast

Daylight ca quickly, and after resting for an hour, everyone began the second round of attracting monsters.

This ti, they first placed the sound-making prop on the eighth floor; Peng Fengnian and Lin Zhenhuai took positions at opposite ends, one observing the situation in the rooms around the corridor and the other waiting at the stairwell.

The others scattered, hiding in different rooms, with two more on the tenth and sixth floors.

After Miss Gao activated the prop, the rhythmic “thud thud” of knocking echoed through the corridors.

Within seconds, a beast’s roar rose from the floors below!

“How could this be!”

The expressions of everyone present changed slightly.

The monster had vanished on the eighth floor, and if there was a passage on or near the eighth floor, it should have appeared nearby.

How could it possibly be below, sounding as if it were between the third and fourth floors?

Xu Huo was the first to react, grabbing the guitar string to jump downstairs; he flipped into a room from the fifth floor’s window.

When he erged, he only had ti to glimpse a shadow darting through the stairwell.

It was a re instant, but it was enough for him to see the monster’s form clearly—the burnt hair seed to have regrown and the skin that had been shocked by electricity was also completely restored, not to ntion the external wounds.

He didn’t chase the monster upstairs.

Instead, he went down to the fourth floor, opening his Spiritual World to search for possible spatial passages.

However, before he even got halfway through, Lin Zhenhuai also ca down, holding a prop capable of detecting spatial fluctuations.

Based on the traces left on the ground, Xu Huo had already inspected the places where the monster was most likely to have erged.

Before Lin Zhenhuai arrived, he closed his Spiritual World.

Lin Zhenhuai found him, frowning, “Strange, the space seed to fluctuate just now.”

“Where exactly?” Xu Huo asked.

“Sowhere nearby,” Lin Zhenhuai said, wielding the prop that resembled a tal detector and adjusting its direction, “and now it’s gone.”

Xu Huo’s heart sank slightly.

If he hadn’t found it when he ca down, then what the prop sensed was probably his own ntal Space, aning that, even if a spatial passage did exist, the monster’s presence was just a fleeting mont, not long enough for them to react.

After Lin Zhenhuai’s fruitless search, he looked towards Xu Huo, “Let’s go back up and help.”

Xu Huo nodded, and the two returned to the eighth floor.

The monster had already demolished several rooms; Yu Guangnan and Gao Xiaoyue suffered minor injuries, and Xiao Ling’s toy car was directly crushed, almost costing her her life.

Fortunately, Sun Bo was nearby and pulled her to safety.

However, the monster, after a brief rest, fought as if it had been fully revived, its combat style more brutal than before.

It did not care what was in front of it—walls, doors, or anything in the rooms.

Anything that appeared in front of it was destroyed without a second thought!

“The difference between our one-hour rest and its one-hour rest is too big!” Peng Fengnian yelled.

“This is not the sa one at all!” Xu Huo tossed aside the remote control in his hand, fixed the “Harmless Whip” onto the door fra, and nodded towards Lin Zhenhuai.

Lin Zhenhuai signaled his understanding and with a powerful punch at the monster’s cheek, he quickly ran towards Xu Huo’s direction.

The monster, which had just been chasing Xiao Ling and Sun Bo, swiftly turned around.

As Lin Zhenhuai slid towards Xu Huo, he passed under the “Harmless Whip,” while Xu Huo also stepped back, his fingers twitching slightly.

The thin thread-like tool imdiately transford into a blade—with no need for him to exert force, the monster itself would be split in half if it applied too much strength!

Just when everyone was ready to watch the creature be split in two, the rampaging monster abruptly halted in front of the blade, its eyes shifted to the side, and it tore through the wall.

The taut thread instantly slackened, and the monster seized the opportunity to pounce fiercely towards Xu Huo, who was nearby!

“Ding!” The sound of a lighter echoed again.

As Xu Huo retreated, the monster’s body burst into flas once more.

Imdiately after, an electrified net covered it, and several syringes shot through the gaps of the net into its body.

Not knowing whether it was immune to poison and anesthetics, its backside nearly transford into a porcupine, yet the monster continued to struggle within the net.

It stumbled into the adjacent room and barged into the washroom, after which the sound of running water followed—it had torn open the water pipes in the washroom!

A deluge of water gushed from the washroom into the room.

The monster, now free from the net and the fire extinguished, erged from behind the door, glaring nacingly at all the players gathered outside the room!

“This is bad…

Let’s go!” Before Lin Zhenhuai finished speaking, the monster smashed through the wall beside it, hurling chunks of brick around like bullets, so large enough to penetrate a wall!

“Quick, get into the room!” Peng Fengnian at last opened a room that was intact.

Yet, before he could step in, the monster burst through the wall on the side and leaped at him, covered in a cloud of dust and debris!

A thin line lodged in his back, and with a tug, it yanked him away from the doorway!

Turning to see the line in Xu Huo’s hand, Peng Fengnian quickly thanked him.

Xu Huo sped up to the front of the group to set him down and said, “Didn’t you see that thing’s hungry belly?

Let’s get away first and talk later!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he had already jumped out the window and while suspended in midair he said to the others, “If you can escape, et at our usual spot.”

He might have disappeared through the window, but the other players were not so easily freed.

The Level D Players were fast, but the monster was even faster.

Not to ntion it could demolish whole walls as it ran.

The players could only flee from room to room in terror to survive.

“Damn, why are you bringing it my way!” Xiao Ling had already taken refuge in a room, only to turn around and see Gao Xiaoyue luring the monster toward her!

“Don’t bla , I had nowhere else to run!” Gao Xiaoyue leaped up from the center of the room, stood upside down on the ceiling, and in a diving stance, she flew straight out of the window, leaving Xiao Ling alone to face the monster.

Even if she jumped out now, she would beco the monster’s primary target.

One-on-one in the open, she had no chance of winning.

Xiao Ling turned her head and her climbing rope flew directly at Sun Bo, who had just reached another room near the window!

Sun Bo had one foot over the windowsill when the rope snagged him and pulled him back.

The tool’s rope exerted force from the center, automatically drawing the ends towards the middle, which ant he and Xiao Ling were getting closer together, and naturally closer to the monster as well.

“Eye-catching Flying Knife!” Peng Fengnian arrived behind Xiao Ling and threw a small knife, no longer than a finger, at the monster—it was a desperate attempt, but to his surprise, the monster’s attention was diverted.

He quickly turned back and shouted to Sun Bo and Xiao Ling, “Move fast…

Unfortunately, before he could finish, a foul wind engulfed him.

At such a short distance, it was too late for Peng Fengnian to escape.

Luckily, Lin Zhenhuai acted promptly, placing a Flying Shield steadily in front of him.

It not only intercepted the monster’s claw but also rebounded with force, pushing it back into the room it ca from!

Now’s the chance!
