Chapter 2287: Chapter 2287: The Second Ga

Xu Huo continued reading.

The content that followed was much more concise.

After understanding the rules of the first ga, the players sent by the district governnt, upon winning the first ga, began to enter the second ga. However, without exception, all the players entering the second ga disappeared. Due to the lack of evidence to judge them as dead, they could only be recorded as missing. Naturally, no information about the second ga returned.

After losing quite a few elite players, the district governnt decided to abandon the exploration of Bu Liu City. They even forbade players from entering the first ga again, as they weren’t sure if the ga venue would remain stable. The risks of entering were high and yields weren’t worthwhile.

There are two unclear aspects in the district governnt’s archives.

First, whether those players who lost their "future" underwent any changes after leaving Bu Liu City—players from this district who entered Bu Liu City early by accessing other instances weren’t forced to stay there, aning they could leave whether they won or lost. However, there was no record of what happened to these people later.

Second, the thod of entering the second ga. There are no definite rules, and it is unclear whether players who lost the first ga can also enter the second ga. However, the trigger thod of the ga has changed. After the first ga, even those players who clearly avoided the trigger rules might be sucked into the ga, as if it was a random selection by the ga.

This isn’t good news for Xu Huo; assuming the district governnt’s records are accurate, his first bet is certainly the "future." If he loses the second ga, the lost "future" might not be as simple as "mory." Since the future doesn’t contain "mory," it must offset sothing else.

"What happened to those people who lost their future in the end?" Xu Huo asked the female player.

"How would I know?" the female player said, "It’s a secret archive, we don’t know whose involved, how can I track and observe them for you?"

"I’ve fulfilled my promise to you, shouldn’t you let

go?"

Xu Huo stared at her firmly, then said, "This information isn’t complete, it seems your friend doesn’t want to save your life."

The female player’s face changed dramatically, "What do you an? Want to renege? Don’t forget where you are, you can’t leave Bu Liu City. If I die, the district governnt won’t let you go!"

"Really?" Xu Huo said, "It seems you’re all prepared to draw the district governnt’s attention to . I wonder if the district governnt is willing to waste more ti."

The female player said gloomily, "Enough benefits can do it. Suppose Bu Liu City has soone who ca back alive from the second ga..."

The sentence wasn’t finished, but the aning was clear.

"My life is in your hands, and you won’t fare much better!" the female player stated confidently.

"Is that so?" Xu Huo said calmly, "Let’s just perish together, Bu Liu City is a space-ti distortion, this is my advantage. I can’t leave, but bringing a few players into the ga is easy."

"I wonder how many people the district governnt is willing to send. If they suffer heavy losses, will they trace it back to your ally? At that ti, I’ll definitely hand you over; you’re a local. I’m sure they’ll be particularly lenient with you."

The female player’s face turned even uglier, she shouted, "Alright, let’s see who dies first!"

The Girl in the Painting knocked her to the ground with a kick, raised the communicator and said to her, "You’ve been caught, is this provocation because you want to die?"

The female player feared Xu Huo and also the Girl in the Painting; she snorted coldly and remained silent.

Xu Huo didn’t stay in the room any longer; after coming out, he said to the Girl in the Painting, "Just lock her up until I clear the level, don’t let her run away. And don’t hit her anymore, it’s quite pitiful."

The Girl in the Painting felt guilty for a second, so she quickly added, "I gave her dicine, she keeps trying to escape."

Xu Huo looked at her, "You don’t have Potion?"

The Girl in the Painting reluctantly nodded.

"It’s normal for young people to be heavy-handed," Old Cai acted like a peacemaker, "Besides, that woman ill-intentionally wanted to kill us, hitting her was light."

Xu Huo didn’t respond to him, emphasizing to the Girl in the Painting, "Rember what I said."

The Girl in the Painting lazily tapped a few tis on the communicator, "Got it, got it."

She then turned and entered the room.

After the door closed, Old Cai said, "I think the little girl understands well, don’t be so harsh."

"After strength inflates, humanity inflates too," Xu Huo said such an ambiguous sentence and then left the place with props.

Old Cai glanced thoughtfully into the room, then followed.

For the next half day, Xu Huo spent his ti catching people. The number of fugitives he had accumulated, counting those in the ga, probably had already exceeded half of what was needed to clear the level, and this was the lowest estimate.

If without one-third players in the ga, with more players obeying the rules, he should be able to clear the level in a few days since the city’s population base is there.

But he didn’t expect the second ga to co so soon. Just as night fell, he returned to the place with props, and while he was in the room to get sothing, a thumb-sized Water Rubik’s Cube appeared silently beside him. As he reached for the item, it touched his skin, and imdiately he felt the flow of Space-Ti Power around him. The next second, he appeared in an empty room.

The room already had quite a few people, the number was so large that it was obviously not just winners from the first ga. It was unclear whether they had all participated in the first ga or if this was their first ga.

This room looked quite ordinary, with no decorations, and the ga prompt hadn’t appeared. If there was anything peculiar, it was a corpse hanging in the corner of the room.

The corpse was hanging from a rope growing from the ceiling, its face twisted in a horrific manner, seemingly freshly deceased. Several players were gathered around the corpse, mostly newcors like Xu Huo, while others leaned against the wall or ignored the corpse completely, their ntal state already completely different.

"Who is this? Where is this place?" asked a player who entered shortly after Xu Huo, heading towards the corpse and discussing with the players gathered around it.

The group couldn’t discern much, only knowing that when they arrived, the corpse was already hanging there. Most of the players originally in the room didn’t want to deal with them.

"Stop talking, you guys are annoying!" Suddenly, a player in the corner with dark circles exploded and yelled at the group, "Shut up, shut up! Everyone shut up!"

The players weren’t easy prey either, but just as they were about to get angry, they saw the yelling player suddenly banging his head against the wall as if trying to kill himself.

The surrounding people were unresponsive, as if already used to it, and as the player passed out, a few unmistakable gulping sounds echoed in the room.
