Chapter 2085: Chapter 2085: City Revival
"This space seamlessly connects with the ti outside in Zone 011, so we didn’t notice anything unusual when we ca in, and the timing tools were normal..." Wang Ling paused for a mont, then added, "But our personal interface is probably disconnected from the ga, so neither the ti on our personal interface nor the ti on the timing tools we have is necessarily accurate."
"However, being in this abandoned city, we can only act according to the known ti rules."
"Moreover, I think this may not be an underdeveloped instance."
ng Wenguang and the others couldn’t even see the Ti Tower a few days ago, yet he and Xu Huo, who possess ti-related items, easily found the Ti Tower. This is quite telling, especially after last night’s incident...
Wang Ling looked at Xu Huo, who was holding a Rank-A Ti Artifact. If his prop wasn’t functioning, there are only three possibilities: first, whether the ti-related item aligns with this location; second, Xu Huo has already undergone Ti-Directed Super Evolution, mastering so power he hasn’t yet mastered; third, he might be holding a Ti-related Super Item.
The thought made him catch his breath.
Xu Huo’s eyes landed on Wang Ling’s face, and he slowly continued, "The instance in this location is probably not only complete but ticulously designed, and has already slipped out of the ga’s control."
"An instance is an instance; how could it detach from the ga?" Feng Hui was startled, struggling to comprehend, "Can an instance stand if it detaches from the ga?"
That’s hard to say.
In the ga, there are elents like the "Heart of the Child" acting like a "backdoor," and the "Mysterious Person" suit gifted by all the ga developers. There’s also a loophole where one can beco a non-registered resident by jumping out of the Original Wormhole Point, thus avoiding high-risk randomness, so an instance without any ga introduction is not that surprising.
Not to ntion, the timing of this place is too coincidental. Dr. Wu worked in Jiguanhua City, and without advanced technology and dicine here, why was he there?
These, of course, are not topics for open discussion. However, "If we believe this is an instance, we should continue treating it accordingly."
Xu Huo continued, "Since the ti after 9:17 exists and doesn’t impact the abandoned city where we’re located, then searching within the city probably won’t yield much."
"Do you an to find a way to enter the space after 9:17 in advance?" Wang Ling spoke, turning towards the Ti Tower, "Starting from here?"
He hesitated for a mont, then turned back, "What if there’s no other space, but rather the flow rate of ti after 9:17 has been altered, or what if both conditions apply? I don’t understand the true power of ti."
"Then we’ll see if we’re lucky." Xu Huo looked at the Ti Tower, knowing nothing about what happens after 9:17. The current exploration here is all speculative; since it’s speculative, it could be right or wrong, so one can only hope this is indeed an instance.
"Let’s try my prop first." Wang Ling stepped forward, taking out a blue multi-faceted gemstone.
"Aren’t we waiting for Miss Lu?" Yue Rui asked at this mont.
"It doesn’t matter whether we wait or not," Wang Ling said, "She said she ca in from near the Ti Tower, but no one knows if that’s true or false. Besides, if we successfully enter another space, the entire city might change, and she might be able to enter directly."
As he placed the gemstone before the door, a thread of light flowed from the center of the gemstone, then shone onto the door.
Everyone could see this thread of light, as if it were reflecting off a water surface. The line shimred, andering along and connecting to a corner of the door — "Ka!"
The sound ca from the clock above. Everyone looked up to see the second hand, which had been pointing at "12," retreat by a notch. The old chanism emitted a heavy, hoarse sound, then fully engaged, with both the minute and hour hands retreating, finally stopping at 11:33. From this point, the second hand began to move normally.
As the clock began to move, starting from the Ti Tower, dense fog was driven away by sunlight, as if a raindrop fell on water, making the whole city clearer and more vibrant. Things that ought to exist in the city but weren’t visible appeared again—travelers walking on the streets, vendors weighing goods at stalls, chefs lighting fires in open kitchens, waiters preparing dishes... Birds flying across the sky, children playing around the Ti Tower — this city suddenly ca to life.
Two patrollers in uniform approached from a distance. They walked to a newsstand, opened the sealed glass window, and posted a new notice. Nearby residents gathered to ask what was happening.
"There’s been a rash of ho invasions lately. The municipal governnt issued a notice, advising both business owners and wanderers to go ho early and lock their doors." One young patroller cheerfully answered people’s questions.
"Who knows what’s happening," an elderly woman with a child in tow stood and comnted, "Bad things keep happening lately, like robberies and thefts. Worse still, there have been murders; I’m so old, I’m not sure if I can die a natural death."
The young patroller supported her, "Lock your doors and windows tight, and living to two hundred won’t be a problem!"
The elderly woman laughed, touching her face, "Already so wrinkled, if I live that long, I can’t imagine how ugly I’ll look when I die..."
The young patroller, while agreeing with her, saw her off the main road and then turned back to see Xu Huo and the others, adding, "You folks are tourists, right? It’s not very safe lately, so find a place to stay early in the evening."
"Ho invasion... Would staying in a hotel be unsafe?" Yue Rui asked quietly.
The young patroller waved dismissively, "Being cautious is alright, plus you have a few n in your group; criminals tend to target the elderly, won, and children."
"Don’t talk nonsense!" The elder patroller scolded him, glanced at Xu Huo and the others, then handed them a map, advising them to stay at a nearby advanced hotel, which has better security asures.
"I heard that advanced hotels have recently replaced their security with new Starlet Company intelligent security robots. I haven’t seen them yet," the young patroller wanted to continue, but his partner pulled him away.
However, this comnt sparked the interest of other nearby people. A middle-aged man said, "My son works at Starlet Company and has applied for one through the employee channel. But, I’ve heard they’re now mass-produced, and everyone will be able to buy one soon. It’s nothing extraordinary, just a bit more flexible than those clumsy old robots."
