Chapter 1418: Chapter 1419: Artifact Maker and Secondary Stone
This is an artifact maker who was once on the rankings. Due to a unique working style, the ranking wasn’t high, and later was removed from the list for beating up a custor. After resting at a hotel overnight, Xu Huo, early the next morning, found a residential area based on the address searched from the Collection of Information Terminal.

“How dare you argue!” Although the elderly lady was old, her legs and feet were quite agile. She hit people without turning red or gasping for breath, specifically targeting the fleshy parts. “With your skill level, how many people can smash your props? Did you give it away again? You’re almost emptying the old lady’s stock, you spendthrift!”
The young man jumped high, clutching his buttocks, “I ca with money today. If you keep hitting , be careful I’ll leave a bad review!”
Upon hearing this, the old lady’s eyes lit up. She threw the ruler forward. The tal object, which seed only half an arm long, separated into dozens of pieces in mid-air and automatically tracked around the young man. Quickly connecting front and back, it ford a birdcage, trapping the person inside as it returned.
Seeing it getting closer, the young man quickly pleaded, “Auntie, I’m wrong! For the sake of being your most beloved grandson, spare
this ti!”
The old lady reached in and grabbed his ear, “Many people want to be my grandchildren. You refuse to learn your lesson. Even if you co with money, I won’t do business with you anymore. Hurry up and scram!”
The ruler-turned birdcage automatically flew to the yard entrance.
When passing by Xu Huo, the young man greeted him and shouted into the yard, “Auntie, there’s a guest!”
“Not doing business today…” The elderly lady walked back without even looking up.
Xu Huo stretched out his hand to hold the gate that was about to close automatically, “I have good materials.”
The old lady turned around, smoothed her full head of silver hair, “What kind of good materials?”
“Secondary stone,” Xu Huo stated from outside the door, “I’d like to ask Teacher Lu to create a few handy props.”
Upon hearing this, the elderly lady finally motioned for him to enter.
Xu Huo removed the man loitering at the entrance and closed the gate effortlessly.
The outer yard looked quite holy, but upon entering the room, nearly all visible platforms were filled with chanical tools or crafting materials, as well as so unfinished machines. The floor was also strewn with piles of ores and so tal raw materials.
“There are no props in the operation room.” Elder Lu said as she walked inside, “The machines aren’t worth anything.”
Xu Huo understood her aning, replying with a smile, “How could that be?”
Artifact makers can easily obtain a Grey Player identity, and Eye of Platinum especially favors artifact makers.
The interior was the guest area, where a young woman was doing housework. Seeing Xu Huo following Elder Lu, she imdiately cleaned her hands to make tea.
“Don’t rush. He might leave shortly.” The elderly lady stopped her.
The woman smiled, “The teacher is joking again.”
She nodded at Xu Huo and continued making tea.
The elderly lady humd and, after sitting down, instructed Xu Huo to bring out the items.
Xu Huo first took out the secondary stone awarded for clearing City W37.
Secondary stones are a type of ore that, being attached around prival stones, slowly change due to the energy released by the prival stones over ti.
There are many kinds of prival stones, leading to diverse secondary stones. Not all are suitable for making props, but generally, those that can be raw material for props are valuable. Compared to ornantal stones and other common ore materials, secondary stones are very advanced prop materials. If they possess special attributes, such as space or ti attributes, they’re even more precious.
After glancing at it, Elder Lu put on glasses and gloves, studied Shitou carefully for a mont, then said, “The quality is quite good. Among Rank-B secondary stones, it’s a higher grade. It can make two Rank-C Items or one Rank-B prop, but the prop’s effects may be average.”
“Teacher Lu can tell at a glance this stone has no special attributes?” Xu Huo knew that determining the grade of stones is typically done with instrunts; the naked eye can only make a rough judgnt and cannot accurately determine the stone’s grade and main components, nor what type of props they’re most suitable for.
Elder Lu snorted, “This type of secondary stone doesn’t require instrunts. But let
be clear; one secondary stone can only be the main material. If you provide supplentary materials yourself, I’ll only charge for labor. If I select them, you’ll also pay for materials, and the final prop effects won’t be your decision.”
Selecting suitable supplentary materials based on the main material to maximize their use rather than altering the main material’s purpose based on the custor’s request is Elder Lu’s specialty. In other words, if Xu Huo provides both main and supplentary materials, she will create a corresponding prop based on the materials. Of course, the supplentary materials configuration is vital in affecting the final product. Whatever materials the custor provides, she will use those materials.
If she selects the supplentary materials herself, she will choose based on the quality of the main material; for instance, if the best prop that can be made is a defense prop, she’ll make a defense prop without caring whether the custor wants an attack prop.
“I’m no match for an artifact maker when selecting materials. What type of prop this secondary stone can make is up to you,” Xu Huo said.
Elder Lu’s facial expression finally relaxed slightly, “Collect the goods in seven days.”
“Please hold on.” Xu Huo took out the remaining secondary stones, placing three obtained from Laboratory Zone 002 in the front and another with ti attributes and the one left by He Pu at the back, “Please take a look at these stones too, Teacher Lu.”
The elderly lady showed a bit of interest and imdiately stuck a small prop onto her glasses before taking up the one left by He Pu.
“This one’s good,” she comnted while examining it, “Just by sight, it’s at least Rank-A and may possess special attributes. The quality is very good.”
“Get my tools ready,” she instructed the young woman coming over with tea.
Following her words, the woman went into the inner room and soon pushed out a small operation table, upon which sat a box-type instrunt, not large in size. Through the transparent box’s wall, a small tal tray could be seen inside.
Waving off the young woman who was trying to assist, Elder Lu carefully placed the secondary stone on the tray, then lightly tapped the outer wall, causing the instrunt to light up.
