Chapter 1348: Chapter 1349 Ya Clan People
The scorching wind blew toward them, and Fan Zhigang and the others instinctively raised their hands to shield their eyes, staring in shock at the place where the flas rose, “Is it necessary to use such powerful weapons in a place like this?”
“This has nothing to do with the instance mission anymore,” Gou Wu said, “Blowing it up like this is obvious—soone wants us all dead.”
“Are there other players nearby?” Qiu Ming imdiately beca alert.
“Be careful,” Xu Huo reminded, “Those aliens were probably attracted by another group.”
“Then what are we waiting for? Let’s hurry up and go!” Wei Dong said, “Those people just delayed a bit of ti…”
“It’s too late now.” Xu Huo drew out the Black Blade, recovered the housekeeping robot, and instructed Qiu Ming and Cao Qinglin to take good care of the car.
As soon as he finished speaking, he disappeared from the spot. Qiu Ming wanted to ask sothing, but opened his mouth and didn’t know in which direction to shout. He couldn’t help but slap the car, “What else can this broken car do, why keep it?”
Cao Qinglin, however, trusted her intuition, she said, “At least with the car, we can take turns resting. Since Mr. Xu asked us to guard the car, he should have a way to deal with it. We are safer staying here.”
Qiu Ming had to give up, and Fan Zhigang and the other two exchanged a glance, leaving one Wei Dong while the other two headed towards the direction of the explosion.
As soon as they left the car, the Cubic Space and the Spiritual World expanded to the limit. Xu Huo crossed two steps to near the fire, seeing a player shuttling through it with a notebook. His body was wrapped in a bubble-like mbrane, completely isolating him from the flas. Each ti he reached a corpse, he wrote and drew in the notebook. A few seconds later, he retreated into the woods on one side and said to another player, “Three are dead from the explosion, one wasn’t killed by us, and three ran away.”
“They can’t escape.” The man with distinctive Ya Clan features said, “Has Bai Jing marked out the area?”
“Almost done, those who fled in the car are also inside the circle,” the notebook player said.
The Ya Clan man rotated two round jade stones in his hand and asked, “Did you find Dr. Duor?”
“No, there was no sign of his body,” the notebook player slightly frowned, “I didn’t see clearly during the fight who actually abducted the person suspected of being the doctor.”
“Four are dead here, three ran away, they don’t have anyone with them,” the Ya Clan man said, “The person should still be in the hands of the original group.”
“Let Dou Li investigate…” Before the Ya Clan man finished his sentence, a voice suddenly ca from behind, interrupting him, “Why did you ambush Dr. Duor?”
“Who is it!” The two players swiftly turned around and retreated while props in their hands flew out, but most were blocked by the Spatial Barrier, and those that weren’t were either resisted by the Unassailable Territory or dodged by Xu Huo.
The small props planted underground exploded at random, and as Xu Huo moved, the forest was quickly filled with pits from the blasts. Moreover, the Ya Clan man continued to supplent with props, trying to kill him from afar.
“He’s one of those who ca in the car,” the notebook player reminded his companion while sending out a signal to call others.
Xu Huo didn’t show any courtesy with them; in such a short ti, it was certainly impossible to completely interfere with their minds, so he couldn’t make them voluntarily give up using props. Given this, he could only force them to give up.
He first ca behind the notebook player, breaking his right hand from a distance, and casually took his notebook. As he passed through the ntal Portal, he flipped it open; sure enough, there were daily records made by the opponent, each page focusing on Dr. Duor, with over ten such entries highlighted prominently.
“Give it back to !” The notebook player reached out in anger, likely using a Characteristic, but Xu Huo wasn’t affected. He lifted his hand to open a door behind him, sending the sneak-attacking Ya Clan man to the forefront and then used a prop to suspend him in mid-air. Just the next second, the latter used a Teleportation Prop to escape, taking the notebook player with him.
However, they didn’t go far, only one step away within the Cubic Space. After that, he opened the ntal Portal ahead of them, but paused when stepping out.
“Boom!” At the sa ti, an explosion occurred where he originally intended to step, followed by dozens more consecutive explosions in the air around him—not like the earlier planted explosive props, this seed more like the air itself exploding.
Several figures appeared nearby. One of them seed briefly surprised when seeing Xu Huo but soon regained composure, flicked his fingers toward him, and next, the air around him seed to ignite, exploding densely!
The intense explosive white light almost covered the three-ter radius where Xu Huo stood, making it impossible to see the person inside at the mont it occurred. Not seeing anyone co out, the notebook player gleefully said, “Brother Bai is amazing, took care of that person in one move!”
Bai Jing, who set off the air explosion, was the delicate man previously in the sa train carriage as Xu Huo. He wore entirely black clothing, even in such high temperatures, with boots and trouser legs wrapped tightly, but his hands were dirty and gloveless. Only after the comnt did he warn, “This person isn’t easy to kill, stay careful…”
Halfway through Bai Jing’s words, he noticed that Xu Huo, who should have been trapped in the air explosion, had quietly stood behind the notebook player. He hadn’t even finished saying “careful” before the notebook player fell clutching his neck. However, in the mont he was falling, black veins on his neck rushed up to his chin, spreading toward his face at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“Don’t move.” Xu Huo warned the others, “Unless you think you can be faster than .”
“Nobody move!” Bai Jing raised his hands to signal everyone not to act rashly, “This forest is now filled with Spatial Power blades!”
After another Evolution in the Card Maze, the spatial ray blades Xu Huo created beca sharper and more nurous. Naturally, they might not break Defense Props, but not every player carries twenty-four-hour Defense Props. In unknown circumstances, they might not even need Xu Huo to act; they could walk to their doom on their own!
Sacrificing one person is different from sacrificing many.
There were eight in total, half of whom had Ya Clan people’s appearances. The remaining four, including Bai Jing and the notebook player, whether they used props or not was unclear; visually, they looked like players from other districts, ordinary and without distinctive skeletal features.
Unable to confirm if they were all from the Ya Clan, Xu Huo looked at Bai Jing, “You’re a Space-type Super Evolver.”
