I sat and waited. Waited, waited, waited... How much ti had passed? An hour? Two? In my head, numbers always behaved like a flock of frightened sheep, scattering in different directions. I was getting hungry, and the golems still hadn't returned with guests. Alright, while I wait, I'll have to solve the piled-up problems myself.

The first problem is grub. But to grow anything, I need to figure out what I've actually built here.

My mountain arched in a giant curve, stretching out for probably seven hundred kiloters in length. Both its ends rested against the ocean, creating a massive "courtyard" inside. I thought the fog around was steam from the lava, but it seems I was wrong. The cold north wind simply bites into the rocks, rises up, cools down, and turns into an eternal haze.

I decided to go down into the "inner ring"—that very bowl protected by the mountains.

"Terrible..." I muttered, shivering.

It wasn't just cold here. The wind road in a circle, turning into an ice grater that peeled off skin. It had only gotten worse than it was before my arrival. Only ice elentals could possibly live here. I imdiately turned around and teleported to the other side—to the "outer ring."

And here, a surprise awaited .

"What kind of sumr in the middle of winter is this?"

On the outside of the mountain, it was hot. Hundreds, thousands of streams cascaded down right from the rocky peaks. Entire waterfalls flowed down to the base, turning the foothills into so kind of tropical paradise.

The chanics were simple: the north wind rose to the peaks, turned into snow there, and the internal heat of the mountain instantly lted it. The water wore holes through the stone and ca out in endless streams.

But there was one catch. Breathing down below was impossible.

Thick, heavy steam billowed from the ground. And it wasn't just fog—I could feel with my skin how everything living dissolved in it. Deadly muck coming straight from the depths.

"Well then," I sighed, rolling up my sleeves. "Back to work again."

I'll have to disperse this toxic soup with the wind before I dissolve here myself. Otherwise, my future residents will turn into fertilizer before they even have a chance to say hello.
