Chapter 76: Chapter 76: Mysterious Woman, Mo Chengyu
Mo Chengyu had had enough! She was here to recuperate, but every day she had to drink a whole host of bizarre, disgusting Nutrient Liquids and Repair Fluids.
She felt like her tongue had died, co back to life, and then died all over again.
She had assud this awful life would continue on uneventfully, but then the sudden appearance of ’gourt food’ broke the deadlock.
By a stroke of luck, a new person moved into the empty room next door.
And they cooked. Every single day! From that day on, the entire villa was enveloped in a cloud of delicious aromas.
One day it was this aroma, the next it was that one. Every single one was fragrant and promised sothing delicious.
So she started keeping an eye on her neighbor and discovered that only a young woman lived there. Clearly, this young woman knew how to cook! And the food she made slled absolutely incredible!
For the past two days, she had stared at the small figure through her window, a predatory gleam in her eyes.
’She’d made up her mind! She was going to march right over and ask if they were selling any of that food!!!’
She hadn’t expected the young girl next door to be so generous as to invite her right in.
’Honestly, the girl’s sense of caution is a little lacking.’
All sorts of thoughts swirled in her mind, but they soon rged into one.
...
’How can sothing this delicious exist in the world?’
"What is this dish made of?"
"You an that one?" Jiang Qiuqiu was still in the kitchen making rice noodle rolls and glanced over from afar. It looked like Mo Chengyu was eating the braised at. "It’s made from Gugu Beast at."
"!"
"Made from Gugu Beast at?!" she exclaid, her tone filled with the sa disbelief as the very first fans.
This tender texture, this incredible aroma, this perfectly marbled at that wasn’t the least bit greasy... to think it was actually Gugu Beast at.
’Who cares what it’s made of? If it’s this good, I’ll just eat a few more pieces.’
She picked up her chopsticks and ate with extre speed, but her quickness did not detract from her elegant movents.
Every gesture she made exuded a natural, noble air. ’She must co from a very wealthy background,’ Jiang Qiuqiu thought.
Soon, Mo Chengyu had finished all the small dishes on the table. She rubbed her stomach, let out a delicate burp, and wore a look of pure satisfaction.
When Jiang Qiuqiu looked up again, she found that Mo Chengyu had already set down her chopsticks.
"You’re finished already?"
"Yes. Your food is just as amazing as it slls. I’ve never eaten such delicious Gugu Beast at. You are the best cook I know."
She showered Jiang Qiuqiu with praise.
Being praised to her face was a little different from reading it in the live comnts. In person, it was a little embarrassing.
She saw Mo Chengyu gathering the bowls and took a few steps forward, not wanting her guest to do chores. That’s when she noticed that every single bowl Mo Chengyu had stacked was empty.
...
That was six or seven dishes and a big bowl of rice. Jiang Qiuqiu was stunned for a second. "You ate everything?"
"Yes, it was so delicious I couldn’t control myself."
She stared at Mo Chengyu’s flat stomach and began to wonder where all that food had gone.
After a bit more talk about food, Mo Chengyu suddenly said, "Setting that aside for a mont... have we even properly introduced ourselves?"
She was the first to extend her hand. "Hello, my na is Mo Chengyu. I live in the castle villa next door."
"Hello, I’m Jiang Qiuqiu. I’m just renting here for now."
"So your na is Jiang Qiuqiu. What a lovely na!"
Jiang Qiuqiu chatted with Mo Chengyu for a while longer. She discovered that the seemingly frail Miss Mo was very familiar with the affairs of the Federation. She was also quite knowledgeable about the customs, traditions, and interesting stories from various regions.
No matter what Jiang Qiuqiu brought up, Mo Chengyu could carry the conversation.
She even carelessly brought up a few things about Earth, and Mo Chengyu was able to keep up.
This instantly gave her the feeling of having found a kindred spirit in a new place, and her fondness for Mo Chengyu grew imnsely.
