Chapter 349: Volu 6: Cautious Planning Chapter 8: Earth Dragon Warrior_3
“Then Mr. Wollin, please instruct your n to deploy as I suggest,” Kor finally revealed his plan. “These ogres have been entangled with the Noble Warriors for so long that their edge has dulled. However, if I attack with magic, these brutes will surely fight to the death. At that point, I will intermittently reveal a gap, allowing these Magical Beasts to charge out in batches. Mr. Wollin, Ilot, and the two Earth Dragon Warriors can use their weapons to launch attacks, targeting their weak spots for a one-hit kill!” With this, Kor intended to use Wollin and Ilot’s attacks as feints, while the real killing blow would co from the Dragon Lance Thrust of the Earth Dragon Warriors.
Wollin finally accepted Kor’s suggestion, realizing that the Ogre’s assault was growing more ferocious by the mont. If they delayed any longer, there was a significant risk that these brutes would break through, the consequences of which were unthinkable. Wollin had no confidence that he could resolve the issue alone, and Kor’s proposal was an excellent opportunity to consolidate all their strength. Of course, this depended on the extent of the Magic Lord’s mastery over his Magic Skills.
With a gentle wave of the left hand holding the wand, and a seemingly feeble touch of the fingertips of the right hand clasped together, he whispered as if from the underworld, “Serpent Dance of the Nine Netherworlds, my heart remains steadfast, Fire Phantom, without precedence or succession! God of Nature, I swear by the na of Minto, may the natural elents incarnate all things, and grant your faithful follower this power!”
Kor’s proficiency in this Ultimate Fire Magic spell had improved imasurably since his first use in repelling the Gray Wolf attack, and his growing magic power ant he no longer had any concerns about casting this high-level Fire Magic. Though the spell still drained a considerable amount of Kor’s magic power, at least now he didn’t have to fear a Magic Power Rebound. Fire Magic had always been Kor’s forte in Elental Magic. While performing the “Golden Snake Dance,” Kor even overlaid it with “Elental Storm,” a large-scale supportive spell. Although “Elental Storm” wasn’t high in rank, it was a highly practical spell for accumulating elents, capable of drawing a vast amount of elents from space in a short ti. Without a main spell to partner with, “Elental Storm” would be pointless, but if any other Elental Magic was cast simultaneously, “Elental Storm” would greatly enhance the attacking power of that Elental Magic.
A two-ter diater ring of fire slowly ascended and tumbled in the air, the sky blue flas transforming into a golden luminous fla due to the frantic gathering of a massive amount of fire elents, as if even the air was ablaze. The Fire Ring continued to expand, and under the direction of Kor’s magic wand, swiftly moved above the tightly ford defense periter. Although prepared, the Barbarian Warriors, who had never seen such a phenonon resembling a natural wonder, couldn’t help but beco noisy. In the hearts of these warriors who worshipped the spirits of nature, such a miracle was impossible to be perford by a single person; only a God or a God’s ssenger could enact such wonders. This was also the important reason Kor chose to display his significant magic power, preempting the Barbarian’s strongn with a demonstration of his strength, to gain an advantage in future negotiations with the Barbarians, and to deepen the image of himself as a celestial being in their minds.
Kor’s “Golden Snake Dance” caused a mont of panic among the Barbarian Warriors, but fortunately, the disruption was brief. The Ogres, which could have used this opportunity to launch a surprise attack, were also captivated by the anomaly in the sky, and with that, their last chance to escape was lost. The enormous Fire Ring slowly enveloped the Ogres from above. At this mont, the Ogres felt the heavenly punishnt bearing down on them. Facing this unstoppable force of nature, they beca frantic and confused, not knowing how to respond. Aside from futile attempts to dodge, with their limited intelligence, they could not conceive any strategy to counter the attack. anwhile, the Barbarian Warriors, reinvigorated by the sight, continually compressed their encirclent, leaving the Ogres no chance to escape the descending Fire Ring.
As the Fire Ring slowly descended to just five ters above the ground, with a short, sharp whistle from Wollin, the Barbarian Soldiers who received their orders withdrew swiftly in unison. In that instant, the Fire Ring plumted down, crashing to the ground and enveloping the unprepared Ogres within. Upon hitting the ground, flas madly surged upward, shooting up over three ters high, plunging the entire encapsulated area into a realm of light and shadow.
Agonizing howls once again echoed across the plains, but the Barbarian Warriors’ encirclent dared not relax in the slightest. These Ogres, freakishly strong to the point of aberration, far exceeded any Magical Beasts the Barbarians had previously clashed with, especially considering their intelligence. Tactics normally reserved for Human combat—deception, diversion, and coordinated strikes—were being used against them by these Beasts, inspiring fear. Fortunately, they still had magic, a pinnacle of human intellect that these Beasts had yet to master. At best, they could use their bodies’ innate magic properties to inflict damage, but they couldn’t draw upon the powers of the natural world to enhance their abilities. Otherwise, this world would have long since beco a realm ruled by Magical Beasts.
