The miracle doctor unwrapped the bandage on her hand and applied so dicine for her already crusted wound.
“You sure have a wild imagination.” Shi Zi said.
“Ah, seeing your ruined clothes, it really feels like a scene out of Beauty and the Beast,” Haotian said.
“More like Beauty and the Beast, why don’t you go play Lamb and the Beast,” Shi Zi brushed off Haotian with a shove.
“What about Ye Chen? How did he find you?” asked Haotian.
Yu Qing glanced at Zhan Ze and briefly told them the story.
“So, he really did run into you. Poor young Master Ze was left out.”
“He didn’t think I was there either, I shouted for a long ti, and none of you heard . It was dusk and he just tried his luck.”
Haotian said, “You were halfway up the mountain, we couldn’t hear you from the top.”
Yu Qing nodded.
Jingxing said, “It’s good you’re safe. If sothing had happened to you, I’m afraid our Zhan Ze would have been devastated.”
Shi Zi added, “Not just him being devastated, I would have been, too.”
Haotian stood up and said, “I’m glad you’re okay. I’m totally exhausted and I need to get so sleep.”
Yu Qing quickly said, “Yes, go back and rest, all of you. You’ve worried enough.”
Haotian and Jingxing left soon after.
Yu Qing turned to Zhan Ze, “You should go back, too.”
Zhan Ze relaxed only after the doctor had treated her.
“Okay, I’ll co to see you tonight,” said young Master Ze.
“Yeah, go back and get so rest.”
All of a sudden, only Yu Qing and Shi Zi were left. After the doctor applied dicine to Yu Qing’s wound, he gave her instructions to avoid contact with water.
Yu Qing nodded and the doctor quickly left.
“That was a close shave,” Shi Zi continued, “Too bad it wasn’t Zhan Ze who found you.”
“What do you an?”
“If it were Zhan Ze who found you, there would be a story.”
“Could you stop such talk? Get
a couple of sets of clothes. You’re making it sound like I’ve been violated.”
“You weren’t violated by that country bumpkin, were you?”
“What nonsense is that!” Qing’er’s finger jabbed his forehead, “Stop daydreaming!”
Luo Rui, who was preparing breakfast outside, walked in and said, “Hey, have breakfast first, then take your ti changing clothes.”
Shi Zi stood up and said, “I’m all sweaty. I need to change.”
Qing’er waved at him.
All of a sudden, only Qing’er and Luo Rui were left in the room.
Qing’er brought the breakfast over.
Yu Qing asked, “Is your headache better?”
“Yeah, I’m all better.”
Luo Rui looked at Yu Qing’s foot wrapped like a rice dumpling and asked, “Does it hurt much?”
“Not really. That monkey knew what he was doing. He used so herbs and it stopped swelling. You have no idea how swollen it was last night, just like a pig’s head. I couldn’t move it, let alone walk,” She referred to the country bumpkin as a monkey all of a sudden.
“Didn’t he do anything to you last night?”
“What are you thinking about?”
“Oh, a beauty like you, who wouldn’t drool at the sight of you? Who could resist?”
“Resist this, stop fantasizing,” Yu Qing snapped.
Luo Rui said, “Let’s have breakfast. I’ll pick a dress for you,” and left for the room.
Luo Rui added, “Such a good opportunity, the hero should have been Zhan Ze.”
“Heh, a hero, huh? Lucky to have made it out of there. There was a poisonous snake on the cliff, almost fell off.”
“Oh, a poisonous snake! Isn’t that exciting, constant drama.”
“It was taller than , crossed from the other side.”
“Did that guy block it for you?”
“He knew sothing, used a branch to flick it down the cliff.”

“So what?”
“Save you once and suddenly he’s different, but don’t think of marrying him just because he saved your life. I won’t agree,” Luo Rui said mockingly.
“Stop your nonsense,” Yu Qing leaned in quickly with chopsticks, suddenly feeling hungry. Even though she was hurt, it felt like all the burdens in her heart had been lifted. “These dumplings are good, just how I like them.”
“You look unusually happy. I’ve never seen you this happy before,” Luo Rui said.
Yu Qing quickly said, “I escaped death, isn’t that worth being happy about?”
“Yes, we should definitely celebrate. Barely escaping death calls for a celebration.”
“Ah, stop complicating things. No celebration needed.”
“How can we not celebrate? Zhan Ze also ntioned a celebration.”
“I just want so peace. It was so chaotic last night, it felt like a storm swept over the whole Immortal City.”
“Sounds like sothing interesting happened?”
“You want to know if we got betrothed in that cave, don’t you?”
“Did you really? While it’s indeed heartwarming, rember, he’s just a cowherd,” Luo Rui said.

Luo Rui sniffled a bit. Although she said that, she still felt that sothing was a bit different about Yu Qing.
“Why are you looking at
like that?” Qing’er asked.
“I feel like you’ve changed a lot.”
“What kind of big change?”
“I can’t put my finger on it, but you seem to be much happier, like you’ve suddenly seen through so things and beco a lot more relaxed.”
“Of course, I have understood so things. It’s not possible that soone who has had a brush with death wouldn’t change a little.”
“I think it must’ve been that country master who enlightened you.”
“Stop speaking nonsense!” Qing’er swung a chopstick at her.
Luo Rui quickly dodged.
Qing’er said: “Actually, so of the things he said made quite so sense.”
“What enlightening words did he say?”
“Better not to tell you. If I did, you would overthink it.” Yu Qing knew this girl liked to let her imagination run wild.
“You better not actually fall for him.”
Yu Qing let out a fake laugh upon hearing this and murmured: “How could it be possible!”
“Hehe, your fake laugh, it really worries .” Luo Rui said.
Yu Qing continued eating, but said nothing further.
“You haven’t really fallen for him, have you?”
“Am I really such a wild person?”
Only then did Luo Rui feel a little more reassured.
Lots of delicious food was served. Having been hungry for all morning and deeply troubled, Yu Qing’s appetite was still good. She ate a lot.
“Such a good appetite.”

to have a good appetite?”

happy.”
“I thought you were afraid of

At night, Ye Chen went to Yingyun Pavilion to see Zhan Ze. Zhan Ze was there, as well as Haotian and Jingxing who had slept all day.
Seeing Ye Chen co in, Jingxing said: “Oh, here cos our hero.”
Upon hearing this, Ye Chen felt a little embarrassed, especially when facing Zhan Ze. He hoped everyone would quickly forget about this. He was very clear about Young Master Ze’s impulsiveness.
Jingxing continued: “However, next ti sothing like this happens, you should tell Zhan Ze and let him handle it.”
Upon hearing this, Ye Chen hurriedly replied: “Yes, you guys weren’t there at the ti, and I didn’t expect her to really be at the bottom of the cliff. I just wanted to try my luck. Ye Chen just nodded in reply.
Jingxing said again: “It’s good as long as you’re fine.”
“Has Zhan Ze gone to see her?” Ye Chen asked.
“Our Young Master Ze can’t wait to stay there all the ti.” Haotian said.
Ye Chen just gave a slight smile.
Zhan Ze replied: “Hmm, the swelling on her feet has reduced a lot. Especially after applying the dicine all last night, it had a very good effect.”
Ye Chen said: “Where I co from, when people sprain their ankles, they use this thod to reduce the swelling. I had no idea if it would work.”
“The effect was very good.” Zhan Ze thanked Ye Chen again.
