Chapter 304: Chapter 292: Turning the Tables

Li Mo drank the tea in one gulp.

Ye Chen poured him another cup, which he again drained completely.

“Sect Leader, your prediction was correct, they really are planning to target the Heavenly City Sect mbers,” Li Mo stated.

“Have you located them?” Ye Chen asked.

“Yes, they’re in a forest. Even though they aren’t dressed like the Dragon Clan, we’re certain that they are indeed mbers of the Dragon Clan.”

“How are you certain?”

“Because I’ve recognized so of the individuals who attacked Wasteland City; I could identify them, even if they turned into ash,” Li Mo continued, “We need to inform Jiang Zhuge right away and ask him to bring reinforcents here.”

Ye Chen appeared to be quite calm and asked: “Which region did you find them in?” He had already unfurled a map across the table.

Li Mo quickly indicated a rough location and further stated: “We have people keeping a close eye on their movents. If they make any changes, we would be the first to know.” He was sowhat anxious, eager for Jiang Zhuge and his n to arrive quickly. To him, if they missed this opportunity, the Dragon Clan mbers would escape, and he was keen on avenging the deaths at Wasteland City.

However, Ye Chen responded: “No rush, the people from the Heavenly City Sect won’t be able to get here until tomorrow night at the earliest.”

“So, we only have one day and one night left,” Li Mo pointed out.

“How many of them are there?”

“At least six to seven hundred. But that’s strange, I’ve heard that there were over a thousand of them that ca in.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen fell silent for a mont then said, “Perhaps they’re operating in separate groups and will regroup soon.”

“You’re right. If they were to move as a large group, it’s likely they would attract the attention of those in the Immortal and Demon Domains. Therefore, it’s very necessary for them to split up their forces,” Li Mo agreed.

Ye Chen continued, “Do you know who their leader is?”

“It seems to be the sa old man who led the siege last ti, but I couldn’t get a clear look at him from a distance. However, there’s a woman with them that you would recognize.”

“Cui ngyan?”

“Yes, that woman. She’s with them.”

Ever since Ling’er passed away, Ye Chen had beco more cautious and serious.

“They will definitely lay an ambush in that location,” Li mo continued, “we must tell Jiang Zhuge as soon as possible.”

Ye Chen nodded and said: “I need a clearer map of that region, or else we have to find two hunters who are familiar with that forest.” He needed to fully understand the terrain of that region.

“It shouldn’t be too hard to find two hunters who know the forest terrain in this small town,” Li Mo replied.

However, Ye Chen was not one to take any chances.

“Send a letter to Jiang Zhuge, ask him to get here as soon as possible. Not all disciples need to enter the city, there may be mbers of the Dragon Clan already in here.”

“Right, in case there are Dragon Clan mbers here, it could alert them.”

“Ask them to stay in the valley outside, I’ll et with them there.”

“Then I’d better find out how the Dragon Clan is planning to deal with the Heavenly City Sect.”

“No, leave that to . I’d better see it for myself.”

“You’re going there?”

“Yes, I’ll go. You stay here and make sure to et Jiang Zhuge, prepare so good food for them. Also, we need to find a couple more people who are familiar with that terrain, get everything about it; where the rivers and mountains are, which routes are easy to take and which are not. Draw

an accurate map.”

Li Mo nodded repeatedly.

“You’ve been traveling for one day and one night. Stay here and rest while I take care of it.”

“I’d rather handle these tasks myself. After all, you’re the Sect leader.”

“So what if I’m the Sect Leader. I’m still human, and errands don’t have to fall on you. You and your n need to deal with those tasks by tomorrow morning. I will be back by noon tomorrow.”

At this point, the waiter brought their food.

“Hey, don’t just sit there listening. You all must be hungry. Don’t look at , eat up, fill your stomachs. Rest well tonight, we take over tomorrow,” Ye Chen said.

In the pitch-dark forest, a group of people appeared. They were mbers of the Dragon Clan. The sky had completely darkened and they did not light any fires, choosing to hide in a canyon instead.

Fearing that the people from Heavenly City would discover their tracks, they purposely hid in the canyon.

Zen Master asked Jue Ming: “They’ll be traveling this path, right?”

“Yes, I’ve already surveyed the surroundings. This is the only path. They will have to pass through here unless they plan to arrive late in Immortal City,” Jue Ming replied.

The Zen Master nodded after hearing this.

“When will Elder Xi Feng arrive here?” ng Xiuluo asked.

“They will most likely arrive by noon tomorrow. I believe it will be after dark tomorrow when the Heavenly City Sect arrives. They will have to rest here for a night before they can continue their journey. We can sneak attack them during this ti,” he replied.

At this mont, a subordinate approached.

The Zen Master quickly asked, “What about the other factions in the Demon Domain?”

The subordinate unfolded a map and started marking the exact locations of all the factions, making sure the Zen Master was well inford.

“They all travel together as much as possible,” Shen Tian chid in.

“Heh, they will never guess that we dare to strike at the Heavenly City Sect,” Jue Ming said.

“We can’t be careless,” continued the Zen Master. “Where are Qiao Fanfeng and his group?”

The disciple quickly pointed out their location on the map.

Shen Tian comnted, “It seems that we only have this one opportunity. If we wipe out the Heavenly City Sect first, it will surely shock the Demon Domain.”

After analyzing the situation, the Zen Master remained cautious. ng Xiuluo said, “I don’t see any problems. We can catch them off guard tomorrow night.”

“Yes, tomorrow night is an excellent opportunity. We still have a day to prepare well,” Jue Ming agreed.

The Zen Master nodded and said, “Have Elder Xi Feng lead their group here quickly to avoid any delays.”

A subordinate nodded and left quickly.

“By now, everyone in the Demon Domain knows that we have entered. They don’t know who we’ll target, but they are cautious. I wonder if the Heavenly City Sect will send reinforcents. We mustn’t let them find out,” the Zen Master said.

Jue Ming nodded in agreent.

Ye Chen and his group had secretly arrived at the mountainous region, spending the entire night examining the situation. They got a rough idea of the terrain and confird that it was the Dragon Clan’s people. They quickly returned.

When they arrived back in town, it was already dawn. They quickly t up with Li Mo. Ye Chen asked, “Has Jiang Zhuge arrived yet?”

Li Mo hurriedly responded, “Yes, he should arrive to et you in about an hour.”

“Where is he?”

“In the woods outside the town.”

“Alright, he doesn’t need to co in. I will et him there,” Ye Chen replied. “Prepare to leave. We will depart together.”

Jiang Zhuge was soon seen in the middle of the forest, eating.

Ye Chen found Jiang Zhuge there.

Jiang Zhuge approached and said, “Li Mo told

that you had secretly entered the mountains last night.”

“Not much, I just went to check it out. It’s not very far, plus I rushed back, didn’t I?”

“You could’ve left this to them, isn’t it?”

“Just take the people and co. Let them rest for four hours. Depart punctually at noon.”

Li Mo stepped forward and handed Ye Chen a well-drawn map. He explained the details, which matched with what Ye Chen had learned the previous night. Ye Chen nodded and said, “Hmm, good, but I estimate another group will rush over today.”

Li Mo added, “The Heavenly City Sect won’t arrive until after dark at the earliest.”

“We don’t have much ti. I’ve looked at the situation in the mountains. We must advance secretly and ensure the Dragon Clan does not spot us,” Ye Chen advised, elaborating further on careful planning and arrangents.

Jiang Zhuge stated, “It seems like you understand the situation well.”

Ye Chen shook his head and said, “I just went and looked around casually. How does what I’ve said match up with what you know?”

“Basically the sa.”

“Now we have determined their direction of arrival. They should choose to rest here tonight. Before they launch an attack, we must attack them. Never mind the details, kill as many as we can,” Ye Chen declared.

Jiang Zhuge nodded.

Ye Chen continued, “In general, there are three directions. I know about how many there are. If the Heavenly City Sect finds out that they are the Dragon Clan, they will definitely cooperate with us to attack together.”

“Should we inform the Heavenly City Sect and prepare them ntally?” Jiang Zhuge asked.

“Better not. The Zen Master and his group may see through our plan, which wouldn’t be good. Besides, we don’t know them. Why would they trust us? If we say we are from the New City Sect and want to ally with them, they would surely be suspicious. They can’t entirely trust us.”

Li Mo nodded, agreeing, “Ye Chen is right. If they suspect us, it might alert the enemy. Better to outsmart them with their own strategy.”
