Once they had registered, Li Jiniang accompanied Yao Shanshan as they waited for her turn.

The brief 3 minutes felt as long as 3 hours.
Yao Shanshan ca out of the consultation room with a stack of paynt slips: “The doctor said, first go do these tests…”
Li Jiniang took over the slips, urine test, blood test, ultrasound. Boy, the costs weren’t low!

After paying, they ran up and down the floors; both the urine and blood tests confird the pregnancy, no doubt about it.
Next was an ultrasound to determine the gestational age and to develop a treatnt plan.
The ultrasound area was packed with people, many of whom were visibly pregnant. So ca by themselves, while others were accompanied by their husbands.
Yao Shanshan found herself wishing that her husband could be by her side when she had a child soday.

“Young people today really lack manners, not even a thank you,” complained the doctor and the nurse responsible for printing the slips in the consultation room.
Yao Shanshan wanted to go back and say thanks, but soone else had already entered.

She took all her test results to the consultation room 1 she had visited earlier. After looking at the slips for a while, the consulting doctor said, “Go lie down on that bed, and take off your right pant leg.”
In the corner of the consultation room was a gynecological examination bed. After Yao Shanshan managed to undress, she awkwardly climbed onto it.

“HPV infection… If left untreated, it can turn into cervical cancer!” Doctor Xiaoi’s words struck like lightning, leaving Li Jixiang and Kang Siyin speechless.

“Cancer? And it’s not serious?” Li Jixiang also felt surprised.
“HPV is a contagious disease, transmitted from males to females. It’s good that yours has been detected early, it’s curable. If this had been discovered later, it could have affected your fertility!” Doctor Xiaoi explained while writing a surgery appointnt slip, “Alright, I have scheduled an appointnt for you. You’ll be admitted to the hospital tonight and I’ll perform the surgery first thing in the morning.”

“Maintain personal hygiene, and always use barriers for protection during intercourse…” Doctor Xiaoi handed a brochure to Li Jixiang, which had information about preventive asures for HPV.
