TL: GoldenLung

Inside the room, Bai Xiuxiu was no less nervous. Her hands felt ice-cold.

Suddenly, she felt a strange sense of relief—fortunately, Lan Xuanyu was currently dressed as a woman.

“You…,” Bai Xiuxiu said softly, “co over.”

“O-okay…,” Lan Xuanyu stamred slightly as he spoke. He hurried forward in two quick steps.

When he lifted the gauzy curtain, his hand trembled a little.

At that mont, ti seed to freeze.

He blinked and looked at Bai Xiuxiu sitting cross-legged on the bed.

Her clothes were still perfectly in place—there wasn’t an inch of extra skin exposed.

“What are you staring at? Go behind ,” Bai Xiuxiu snapped.

Her face was flushed red like a ripe apple. Despite the fierce tone, she was clearly bluffing.

“Oh.” Lan Xuanyu answered obediently and climbed onto the bed behind her.

But the mont he settled behind Bai Xiuxiu, his eyes widened and he froze in place.

Only then did he realize—

Bai Xiuxiu had simply put her top on backwards.

“What are you thinking?” Bai Xiuxiu jabbed backward with her left elbow, poking him in the waist.

“Nothing, nothing!” Lan Xuanyu quickly sat upright.

Dragon marrow only needed to be applied along the spine. Bai Xiuxiu had chosen the simplest possible solution.

“Then hurry up and start,” Bai Xiuxiu said.

“Alright. Let’s begin.”

Lan Xuanyu nodded vigorously. A faint rainbow-colored glow gradually appeared in his eyes.

Imdiately, the aura of his bloodline began to rise within him. Bai Xiuxiu, sitting directly in front of him, felt it most clearly. Her own bloodline instantly began to boil in response, and a warm sensation spread through her entire body.

Lan Xuanyu gently touched the top of her head and steadied her shoulders so she could sit properly.

“Focus!” he called out softly.

His voice carried a hint of the Golden Dragon Roar’s power.

Bai Xiuxiu shuddered slightly, quickly calming her emotions and concentrating.

Lan Xuanyu closed his eyes as well, gathering his mind.

It took a full fifteen minutes before their breathing and auras gradually stabilized.

Then Lan Xuanyu opened his eyes and picked up one of the boxes beside him.

The mont he opened it, an extrely dense surge of dragon energy burst out.

The stimulation made both him and Bai Xiuxiu release simultaneous dragon roars.

Inside the box was a golden crystal slightly larger than a fist.

At first glance it looked sowhat like a solidified paste, but once held in the hand, it felt heavy and firm.

A dragon crystal.

A genuine dragon crystal from a Higher Dragon.

Lan Xuanyu carefully picked up the crystal, imdiately sensing the rich dragon energy contained within it—along with a powerful spiritual consciousness.

In that instant, he made a judgnt.

This thing couldn’t be given directly to Bai Xiuxiu.

She wouldn’t be able to withstand it yet.

The spiritual consciousness inside the dragon crystal was simply too strong. During cultivation, it might impact her Spiritual Sea.

What if that consciousness retained so form of independent will and tried to seize her body?

Even if possession failed, it could still severely damage her spiritual sea.

Lan Xuanyu placed the dragon crystal in front of himself and said in a deep voice,

“Xiuxiu, the power of the dragon crystal isn’t suitable for you to absorb directly. I’ll transform its energy first before channeling it into your body.

“You should start tempering your body now. After that, I’ll apply dragon marrow along your spine. Focus on absorbing it.

“For this first attempt, I’ll only use a small amount of dragon marrow as a test.”

“Understood.” Bai Xiuxiu nodded.

Lan Xuanyu’s eyes slowly turned seven-colored.

The dragon crystal floating before him gradually rose into the air.

At that mont, Lan Xuanyu clearly felt that the dragon crystal pulsed faintly in rhythm with his breathing.

It was like a heart—containing imnse energy and powerful life force.

After all, it was sothing left behind by a god-level Dragon.

The energy stored within it was truly enormous.

However, for Lan Xuanyu, the Dragon Force inside the crystal still had a flaw.

Its purity.

As the inheritor of the Dragon God bloodline, any dragon energy other than that of the Golden Dragon King and Silver Dragon King was considered sowhat impure to him.

Yet instead of disappointnt, Lan Xuanyu felt delighted.

For a Higher Dragon, the power within a dragon crystal represented roughly half of their total strength.

The rest—bones, bloodline, organs, spiritual power, dragon marrow—combined barely amounted to the other half.

In other words, even if he hunted down a Higher Dragon and absorbed all its life energy, it might still contain less energy than a single dragon crystal.

And the energy within the dragon crystal also contained spiritual consciousness—the purest essence of a Higher Dragon’s life.

For Lan Xuanyu, that kind of energy was far more aningful.
