The Wind-Attribute Lizard Dragon sensed danger instantly and turned to flee.
Speed was its greatest strength. If classified among soul masters, it would undoubtedly belong to the agility-attack system. By widening the distance and engaging in a drawn-out skirmish, relying on its speed advantage to circle and harass Bai Xiuxiu, it believed it still stood a chance.
But at that very mont—
It began to snow.
Deep-blue snowflakes drifted down from the sky. Even amid the raging winds, the snow fell ceaselessly. The temperature in the central battlefield plumted at an alarming rate. More terrifying still, those deep-blue flakes devoured light itself, dimming the surroundings. The wind elents were being silently consud as well.
The Wind-Attribute Lizard Dragon was horrified to discover that the wind blades it had condensed were shrinking continuously. Even the speed it had gained through wind-elent amplification was declining.
The deep-blue snow was slowly devouring everything.
Its body grew colder and colder.
A wind blade finally ford—but in the next instant it was blanketed by the falling snow. The blade transford midair into a deep-blue ice blade, slipping from the dragon’s control.
Bai Xiuxiu suddenly halted in midair, no longer pursuing her opponent.
The next mont—
Countless ice blades exploded simultaneously. Shards of frost burst in every direction as Deep Blue Gaze appeared once again. This ti, the Wind-Attribute Lizard Dragon could no longer break free from the encroaching ice elents. Frozen solid, it plumted from the sky.
In a flash, Bai Xiuxiu appeared above it. One foot pressed lightly onto its head. Dragon Spear in hand, she descended along with it.
The Wind-Attribute Lizard Dragon hurtled downward at trendous speed, on the verge of shattering against the ground in its frozen state—when suddenly, all the ice elents vanished.
Regaining control of its body, the dragon frantically flapped its wings to slow its fall. But the descent was too swift. It crashed heavily into the ground. Fortunately, it was no longer encased in ice and thus avoided being smashed to pieces.
Bai Xiuxiu stepped through the air calmly, descending one step at a ti before landing lightly on the ground.
She had never even thrust her Dragon Spear.
And yet the battle was already over.
From start to finish, the entire fight lasted barely a minute. Within that brief span, Bai Xiuxiu displayed her abilities to their fullest extent. She had employed her first Soul Skill, Ice Elent Control;
second Soul Skill, Ice Tide;
third Soul Skill, Ice Explosion;
fourth Soul Skill, Deep Blue Gaze;
fifth Soul Skill, Death Withering;
and sixth Soul Skill, Ice Demon Snow.
Through masterful integration of all six soul skills, she suppressed her opponent completely. The speed-specialized Wind-Attribute Lizard Dragon never had the slightest opportunity to turn the tide.
The entire battle was pleasing to the eye.
It was not raw power that secured her victory—but refined technique, combat experience, and absolute control.
“Fenglong City, Huang Xiuxiu—victory.”
The elderly dragon nodded approvingly. Indeed, strength determined power—but the ability to wield that strength perfectly in actual combat was just as crucial.
And in this regard, Bai Xiuxiu had excelled.
Among the dragons—especially the Higher Dragons who prided themselves on overwhelming force—such refined combat technique was rare. Bai Xiuxiu’s aura ranked among the weaker of the Higher Dragons, yet her battlefield mastery was eye-opening.
She claid victory with effortless grace.
As if she had rely completed an ordinary task, she walked back and stood beside Lan Xuanyu.
Softly, she asked, “Do you think they’ll give
so kind of princess title too?”
Lan Xuanyu’s lips twitched slightly. Turning to Huang Yuanlang beside him, he said, “Huang Brother, you’re up. Good luck.”
“Alright.” Huang Yuanlang drew a deep breath and strode toward the arena.
Bai Xiuxiu’s performance had left even him sowhat stunned.
There had been no violent collisions or dramatic bursts of force—yet she had won decisively.
Originally, Huang Yuanlang believed his strength surpassed hers. But now, aside from pure energy intensity, he suspected his practical combat skill might not asure up.
Could it be that wild dragons were all this formidable?
A spark of unwillingness flared in his heart.
As the third Higher Dragon to compete, he fought with remarkable intensity. Relying on the overwhelming brute force characteristic of Higher Dragons, he achieved total victory.
As a mber of the royal lineage, his attribute was earth. His specialty—gravity control.
From start to finish, he suppressed his opponent so thoroughly that it never managed to take flight. A Lower Dragon unable to transform into human form would lose at least half its strength if grounded.
Huang Yuanlang crushed his opponent completely.
Like Bai Xiuxiu, he ended the battle in just over a minute, advancing past the first round.
When he exited the arena, he finally felt vindicated. He exhaled deeply, about to call out to Xiuxiu and Lan Xuanyu—only to find them already mounted on Yan Cheng’s back, waving at him.
Yan Cheng spread his wings. His brown-gold scales shimred brilliantly as he lifted Lan Xuanyu and Bai Xiuxiu gracefully into the air.
“Yan Cheng, what attribute are you?” Lan Xuanyu asked. “Strength-based?”
“Yes, Dragon Lord. I specialize in strength. My bloodline is fairly pure, but since I rely solely on strength and my bloodline intensity was insufficient, I was unable to evolve further. It was only thanks to your grace that I achieved my recent breakthrough.”
Lan Xuanyu nodded.
Through their connection, he could sense Yan Cheng’s imnse physical strength. His musculature was solid, his bones dense. Though not the fastest flyer, he was extrely stable—steady as a mountain.
Moreover, Yan Cheng’s bloodline aura bore so resemblance to the Dragon God Armor forged from the Mountain Dragon King’s bones that Lan Xuanyu wore.
In other words, Yan Cheng likely possessed a bloodline similar to the Mountain Dragon King’s. Stimulated by Lan Xuanyu’s Golden Dragon King bloodline, it had undergone sothing akin to a second awakening—just as human soul masters sotis experienced.
With this evolution, Yan Cheng’s future growth potential had expanded.
The longer he remained near Lan Xuanyu—and the stronger Lan Xuanyu beca—the greater the influence on him.
As a Interdiate Dragon, Yan Cheng’s Dragon Force was already robust. Since he had pledged himself as a servant, Lan Xuanyu had no intention of harming him.
In truth, accepting Yan Cheng had deeper implications.
Lan Xuanyu’s understanding of dragonkind ca mostly from Higher Dragons. He knew little of mid-level or Lower Dragons. And regardless of how cordial Huang Daoqi and his son appeared, they would inevitably withhold certain truths.
Yan Cheng was different.
Now bound by master-servant contract, his life and death rested in Lan Xuanyu’s hands. From him, Lan Xuanyu could learn everything he knew.
His familiarity with Celestial Dragon Planet far exceeded Lan Xuanyu’s own.
“Yan Cheng,” Lan Xuanyu said calmly, “Xiuxiu and I were originally wild dragons. We only recently joined the Fenglong City Huang lineage. We’re still unfamiliar with many aspects of dragon society. Your decision to acknowledge
as master surprised . Are master-servant contracts common among dragons? Are there additional restrictions?”
Yan Cheng replied respectfully, “Master-servant contracts are quite common among dragons. Typically, Lower Dragons pledge themselves to Higher Dragons.”
“In a sense, Lower Dragons are considered servants within dragon society. Gaining protection from a Higher Dragon naturally elevates their status. However, the number of servants a Higher Dragon may accept depends on their strength.”
“Generally speaking, Higher Dragons prefer to accept stronger Lower Dragons—those with potential to advance into Interdiate Dragons.”
“After all, the status difference between Interdiate and Lower Dragons is vast. A servant’s strength contributes directly to the master’s strength. Likewise, when choosing a master, Lower Dragons naturally seek the most powerful option.”
Lan Xuanyu asked, “So how many servants can one possess, depending on strength?”
Yan Cheng replied, “A Higher Dragon below the god rank may take three servants—I count as one of Your Highness’s allotted places. A god-ranked expert may take five. A True God-ranked expert may take eight.
“At the Super God rank—that is, at the level of the Head—one may command twelve servants. That is the utmost limit our dragon race can bear. After all, to separate out one’s Divine Sense, spirit, and bloodline aura exacts a toll upon the dragon lord himself.”
Lan Xuanyu gave a faint nod. “If one becos a Dragon Knight, must the mount-dragon also be a servant?”
