A blaze of radiance flared for only five seconds before Lan Xuanyu forcibly extinguished it. His face had turned deathly pale, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

“Are you alright?” Bai Xiuxiu rushed forward to support him.

Lan Xuanyu twitched the corner of his mouth. “I’m fine. The Dragon God bloodline is simply too overbearing once ignited. For that instant, I genuinely felt as if my body was lting. Fortunately, it’s my own bloodline—only then was I barely able to suppress it.”

“Did it work?” Bai Xiuxiu asked.

Lan Xuanyu nodded. “It worked, but only for far too short a duration. The effect wasn't enough. The Dragon Force here is nowhere near sufficient. I’d need to absorb at least two days’ worth of life energy to fully recover.”

“If it affects your cultivation, you should co back tomorrow. Let’s head back first,” Bai Xiuxiu suggested.

Back at their lodgings, Lan Xuanyu snacked on the specialties Daoqi had sent—various foods saturated with the rich life energy unique to Celestial Dragon Planet—while quietly sorting through his situation.

It was now certain that Dragon Force Tempering was incredibly beneficial. He’d felt it the day he consud the Dragon Soul Fruit for cultivation. But just like today, the effect simply didn’t last long enough.

He was now fully convinced that the truly powerful pseudo-dragons of Celestial Dragon Planet must all be cultivating inside that mysterious space. Only the Dragon Force there could sustain the training needs of powerful pseudo-dragons.

His problem, however, was that his Dragon God bloodline stood at too high a level. The gentle, filtered Dragon Force used here was nowhere near enough to replenish him. Five or six Dragon Soul Fruits at once might barely suffice… or he would need to hunt dragon-type beings—though not lower-rank ones.

He recalled the day he devoured that Lower Dragon-type creature. Even if he had consud all of its bloodline essence alone, it wouldn’t have been enough for even one session of cultivation. Lower-rank dragon bloodlines were ssy and impure; after filtering, barely a thread of Dragon God power remained.

In truth, only the energy of Higher Dragons held real value for him. Except—adult Higher Dragons possessed at least Titled Douluo-level combat power, with most bordering on god-rank. They were absolutely not targets he could “casually” make a move against. Should one escape, all his previous efforts would be for nothing.

Yet without Higher Dragon energy, he had no effective way to perform proper Dragon Force Tempering. Ironically, his partners could cultivate this thod just fine—only he couldn’t.

Still, Lan Xuanyu understood very well: precisely because it was troubleso, the benefits for him must be enormous. Dragon Force Tempering would drastically accelerate the rging of his two great dragon-king bloodlines and the evolution of the Dragon God bloodline.

Difficult as it was, he had no choice but to push forward.

Lan Xuanyu subconsciously clenched his fist. He needed a ticulous plan. At the very least, before participating in the Rising Dragon Competition, he had to complete a full, genuine session of Dragon Force Tempering so he could beco stronger. Only then would he feel confident in the competition.

For now, though he couldn’t use Dragon Force Tempering, he could still temper himself with the Nirvanic Divine Lightning.

He had compared the two thods. They were fundantally different, and their effects differed as well. The Nirvanic Divine Lightning used the most powerful destructive elent to temper him, enhancing the level of his life itself.

Dragon Force Tempering, on the other hand, refined the physical body directly—rapidly improving physical toughness. At the sa ti, the bloodline aura grew stronger, and powerful bloodline force could be transford directly into strength.

The pity was that when the Abyssal Tyrant Dragon Knight had appeared, his cultivation hadn’t been high enough to perceive the true state of a Dragon Knight. Otherwise, he might have gleaned even more mysteries of Dragon Force Tempering.

Daoqi had ntioned that even Dragon Knights themselves continued using this tempering thod to strengthen their bodies.

For now, he would use the Nirvanic Divine Lightning for cultivation. The improvent remained rapid, and his body’s tolerance increased as well. That would make future Dragon Force Tempering easier and more thorough.

Ti flowed by in constant cultivation.

Liang Pu had long since been dispatched to purchase real estate throughout the major main cities. Each ti he bought a property, Lan Xuanyu would pilot the Erald Demon Warship there at night to set up a teleportation array. Celestial Dragon City was the lone exception—but Liang Pu still needed to buy a house in Celestial Dragon City, in case Lan Xuanyu and the others needed it soday.

Aside from his own cultivation, Lan Xuanyu also helped the Treasure Seeking Beast refine its abilities.

The creature was becoming increasingly important—whether for energy conversion or for disguising them, they all relied on it.

If the Treasure Seeking Beast’s divine sense reached the level of a first-rank deity—essentially the super-god level—then even before Celestial Dragon Planet’s Head, they would no longer have to worry about being exposed.

Lan Xuanyu tempered his body with the Nirvanic Divine Lightning. The bloodline itself did not directly grow stronger, but beca purer. Then he would replenish himself with life energy. Daoqi had provided them with massive cultivation resources—no reason to let them go to waste. He also allowed the Treasure Seeking Beast to absorb his purified bloodline energy. Other than immortal essence, this was the best nourishnt the creature could obtain.

Nine days later, Liu Feng arrived with the rest of their companions.

Lan Xuanyu greeted them personally, bringing the remaining mbers of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings to Celestial Dragon Planet. For safety, they traveled in three separate groups, with the Treasure Seeking Beast concealing them at all tis.

Once they arrived, they entered Fenglong City in batches and settled into the prepared residences on the outskirts. It was crowded, but barely manageable.

The environnt of Celestial Dragon Planet astonished everyone. Without Lan Xuanyu present, they were forbidden from leaving the residence—after all, their human appearance was far too obvious. Even if Higher Dragons could take human form, there couldn’t suddenly be this many of them at once!

After making sure everyone was settled, Lan Xuanyu imdiately sought out Elder Shu and explained his plan.

The first group of plant-type soul beasts would cultivate here for three months to half a year. After the Rising Dragon Competition concluded, they would return to the Academy and deliver life energy back to the Eternal Tree. Once the Academy confird the benefits, all plant-type soul beasts below god-rank could co to Celestial Dragon Planet in batches to quietly draw life energy.

Elder Shu agreed readily. The benefits here for plant-type soul beasts were imnse. He himself could already feel that due to the different life levels, even his own aging seed to halt temporarily—he felt rejuvenated. If he lived on Celestial Dragon Planet permanently, he would simply live longer.

Tang Yuge and Lan ngqin spent seven days fully replenishing themselves after their previous tempering. After receiving abundant life energy, they each felt reborn.
