Chapter 1070: Eight-Ring
TL: GoldenLung
Still, Lan Xuanyu only felt gloomy for a mont before returning to calm. *A fine al is never too late to enjoy—sooner or later, it would all be his anyway.*
“Xiuxiu must have told you about her condition. What do you think?” he asked the Demon Queen.
The Demon Queen replied, “With you here, nothing is a problem. It’s a curse targeted at our dragon bloodline, buried deep. But you… you are the Dragon God! Any curse aid at dragons is nothing more than a petty trick before you. The only one who can judge dragons is you. If I recall correctly, your father still wields the Dragon Clan Law Blade. Back then, the blade took human form, but after your father fell into slumber, it vanished without a trace. If you can find it again, I believe it will wield great power over the dragons of Celestial Dragon Planet.
“As for this so-called Dragonification—it should simply be creatures here absorbing the essence of our dragon aura from that space, mutating into wielders of our power. Naturally, they must also bear the judgnt of our kind. The Law Blade was originally a part of your body; if it returns to you, it will not only suppress them, but also greatly enhance your strength.”
The Dragon Clan Law Blade? This was the first ti Xuanyu had ever heard of it. He would have to ask Uncle Le later.
“Senior Demon Queen, will this curse inside Xiuxiu hurt her now?” Xuanyu asked.
She shook her head. “No. It’s a curse that must be triggered, and even then, it doesn’t seem lethal. You could dispel it at any ti. As long as it’s not triggered, it won’t harm her or affect her cultivation.”
“Does it serve as a tracker?” Xuanyu pressed.
“Unlikely,” she answered. “But the caster should be able to sense whether it still exists.”
“I understand.” Xuanyu nodded.
The Demon Queen inclined her head. “Young Master, I’ll return now. Xiuxiu and I must complete our final fusion. Please watch over her.”
“Alright,” Xuanyu agreed.
She looked at him, then at Bai Xiuxiu, a trace of satisfaction softening her face. The next instant, her form dissolved into a streak of light, rging into Xiuxiu’s body and vanishing.
Xiuxiu and Xuanyu exchanged a glance. She sat cross-legged—and suddenly, a deep dragon’s roar erupted from within her, swelling higher and higher.
Behind her, the colossal purple form of the Abyssal Demon Dragon appeared, filling the entire chamber with darkness and pressure.
Xuanyu stood beside her, releasing his own bloodline aura. His **Golden Dragon King** and **Silver Dragon King** bloodlines poured forth, subduing Xiuxiu’s aura, preventing it from spiraling out of control.
*Boom!* The Abyssal Demon Dragon exploded into countless violet motes, scattering across the air. From them, the Demon Queen’s phantom rose once more—far larger than before, yet also more translucent. She bowed deeply in Xuanyu’s direction, a serene smile on her face, before dissolving entirely into the air.
Those motes of light surged back into Xiuxiu’s body like rivers returning to the sea. Sothing within her seed to shatter, and an orange-gold soul ring flared beneath her, joining the two already present. All eight of her soul rings resonated together, her aura skyrocketing.
Eight Rings—**Soul Douluo**. Bai Xiuxiu had finally crossed the threshold, standing equal to Tang Yuge.
Darkness and ice fused as her bloodline surged. A massive phantom solidified behind her—the form of the Abyssal Frost Demon Dragon. At that mont, Xuanyu could feel her bloodline growing sharper, stronger.
Her body grew taller, more slender, her skin radiant and crystalline. The deep-blue aura around her devoured all light in the chamber, drawing it inward until she beca the center of all radiance.
Without question, this breakthrough had transford her. She was no longer rely a Demon Soul Great White Shark—she had taken a step closer to becoming true dragonkind.
In a sense, her condition mirrored the dragon-variant species of Celestial Celestial Dragon Planet—another kind of Dragonification. The difference was that her transformation ca from rging with a true dragon, a powerful one at that.
Though the Demon Queen had never reached god rank, her foundation was imnse, her vitality vast. She had lacked only that final step.
Now, all of that power fused into Xiuxiu, pushing her forward. From her first step into the eight-ring level, she kept climbing, breaking barrier after barrier.
Xuanyu stayed at her side, guarding her. In the massive chamber, life energy surged around them, pouring into Xiuxiu’s body to fuel her evolution.
The truth was undeniable—cultivating here was even more effective than training at Shrek Academy. Xiuxiu was the first to reap the benefits.
This only strengthened Xuanyu’s resolve to bring the rest of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings here. Once things stabilized, Liang Pu would expand to other cities, and Xuanyu would bring his comrades in, setting them to manage new businesses.
As for disguises, simple comrce could be covered with makeup, even without illusions. Federation technology could handle much—and if not, Tang Sect could.
Before returning to the Seventh Fleet, Xuanyu had already asked Tang Sect for this very support, sending them information on the Blue Sea Clan so they could develop identity-concealing devices.
Xiuxiu’s breakthrough flowed as smoothly as water. With dragon power as her foundation and the Demon Queen’s full integration, she now held not just a Spirit Soul’s power, but the soul beast’s entire strength. Unlike Di Tian, the Demon Queen had not been on the brink of death when she chose to bond; she had voluntarily rged, preserving nearly all her power.
The chamber’s life energy was drained again and again, swiftly replenished by the strange magical runes etched into its walls, surging into Xiuxiu’s body.
On Celestial Celestial Dragon Planet, life energy was not only abundant but of higher order. Thus, breakthroughs ca unhindered by planar suppression.
For nearly three hours, energy waves rolled within Xiuxiu before finally settling. The deep-blue scales across her skin faded.
She inhaled deeply, exhaled slowly, and opened her eyes.
Her gaze t Xuanyu’s, and she smiled.
“Xuanyu.” She rose gracefully and flung herself into his arms. He held her close.
And in that embrace, Xuanyu clearly sensed the change within her bloodline. Her bloodline had stabilized, and more strangely, the soul core once concentrated in her chest had shifted downward. In her dantian, a vortex had ford.
That vortex resembled Xuanyu’s bloodline vortex—at its center, even a tiny crystalline core, though smaller than Xuanyu’s dragon core, newly ford.
A soul master who reached the Super Douluo level sotis ford a second soul core, which was almost essential for breaking into the Extre Douluo realm.
But Xiuxiu had just reached eight-ring, and already the embryonic form of a second soul core had appeared. This would bring imnse benefits to her future cultivation—proof that she was no ordinary Soul Douluo.
