Chapter 338: Chapter 225:

The reason he fell into a disadvantage was because, although he could borrow the power of the gods, as an individual, his level of strength was still too low and dragged him down.

Not to ntion that the great gods couldn’t be bothered with such trifles, even if the gods did gaze upon him, it would be difficult for him to bear more of their power given his physical strength.

Now, having exerted all his strength, he could only barely hold his own against the ominous presence of the evil deity before him.

But maintaining it was very challenging.

Elton even began to ponder whether the whole team should retreat first.

Beside him, Gauss stared at the scene before him, clearly seeing the current situation’s tension.

However, at present, the rivalry between the two divine powers also gave him, a third party, the opportunity to intervene.

The white egg inside him seed to keenly sense the external changes, transmitting an increasingly intense feeling of hunger, and vaguely urging him to step forward.

As if it was saying it could handle the presence of the evil deity before him.

"Can you really do it, little one?" he communicated internally with the white egg.

The white egg responded with a murmur, as if affirming him.

Though still slightly uneasy, rembering how he had previously escaped death in the Black Forest thanks to it, Gauss ultimately chose to trust it.

He looked at the conflicted Elton and suddenly spoke.

"Elton, can you intensify the suppression? I think... perhaps I can help."

"You?" Elton was about to say sothing but, seeing the determined look in Gauss’s eyes, swallowed his words.

"I’ll do my best. If you’re going to do sothing, hurry up. I’m running low on power."

"Thank you." Gauss nodded.

In the next mont, an intention surged from the white egg, mostly unclear to Gauss.

Holding the White Magic Wand in his left hand, a brilliant Light Spell burst forth from it.

"Screech!!!"

A shriek echoed again from the darkness, ink-like.

The fully-powered Light Spell, paired with Elton’s desperate eruption, directly suppressed the darkness.

Of course, this overwhelming advantage couldn’t last.

Although the darkness sizzled and burned, it stubbornly clung to the rock faces.

"Huff..."

Gauss clenched his right hand, energy scales suddenly covering it, forming an energy dragon claw.

This ti, a white-gold light also emanated from within him, enveloping the claw, bestowing it with a sacred and noble aura.

"Now’s the ti!" he felt the darkness was temporarily compressed to its limit.

Under Elton’s astonished gaze, Gauss leaped forward, deftly dodging the howling, twisted humanoid shadows.

The dragon claw, shimring with a platinum halo, plunged fiercely towards the core of the archway oppressed by both Holy Light and Light Spell, the very center of the black vortex!

"Roar!!!"

The aura of the evil deity let out an unprecedented cry of fear.

As if realizing the "fatal" threat.

It raged and boiled.

Countless dark threads burst from the vortex, swarming, trying to entangle and halt the platinum dragon claw.

"Splatter!" Yet at the instant the dark threads touched the dragon claw, they burst as if encountering a natural predator.

The dragon claw effortlessly pierced through all the frenzied, filthy energy, eventually, with Gauss’s trendous power, slamming into the pulsating core of darkness.

"Boom!!!" Countless black particles erupted.

The entire cavern was engulfed in a violent tremor.

Gauss felt as if his right arm wasn’t smashing into rock but penetrating a layer of viscous, slippery swamp.

A severe, pure evil energy was siphoned from the archway by the dragon claw.

Nurous concentrated streams of darkness surged madly into his raised right hand.

With a grasp of his right, the dark energy was instantly refined.

The previously ferocious evil deity presence, as though its spine had been extracted, instantly wilted.

The surrounding dark red fungal patches visibly shriveled, carbonized, and disintegrated! The shadow creation let out a desperate wail and dissipated like smoke.

Elton felt the pressure disappear and, losing strength, collapsed sitting on the ground.

But at this mont he couldn’t care less about these trivial personal image issues, he stared incredulously at Gauss.

Looking at the dragon claw radiating a strange halo, the subdued evil deity power, his mind went blank.

Can anyone tell him what kind of power this is...? To so simply and brutally erase the influence of the evil deity?

Behind him, Sorin, Nancy, including Aaliyah and Serdur, were all stunned.

This was a deity, even if just a wisp of its aura, usually needing comparable power to counter it. This is why many adventurers, especially advanced ones, tend to follow a deity.

So among them may not be devout, but at critical monts, borrowing a god’s power might just save one’s life.

Gauss closed his eyes.

The refined evil energy surged into the white egg inside him, causing him to feel a chilling sensation.

And the white egg, as if encountering so delicacy, relentlessly devoured this ominous force.

Within a few breaths, the evil deity’s power was completely consud.

Then the mysterious white egg transmitted an elated, satisfied intention.

A pure energy also surged from its eggshell’s surface, rging into Gauss’s body.

"Buzz buzz buzz!"

The previously cold Gauss instantly felt warmth spread within him.
