After Gauss listened, he put his hand onto it.
The smooth surface flashed a bright light the instant it touched his palm, then swiftly returned to calm.

Gauss stepped onto the wide staircase carpeted with a red carpet, his heartbeat couldn’t help speeding up.
The staircase was double-run, after finishing the first run, either mirrored set of stairs could reach the second floor.

Finally, the scenery of the Guild’s second floor appeared in Gauss’s view.
Far more translucent open ceiling height than the first floor, for a mont, made Gauss confusedly feel like this was the true first floor, and what used to be just the basent.
Unlike the crowded and cramped first floor, this environnt here was bright, sunny, and as soon as stepping into the second-floor area, the downstairs noise seed muted; no more traces of sound could be heard.
In the center of the second floor was a glass atrium with excellent lighting, the azure sky comforting one’s heart.
Around the central hall were nurous shops, task halls, pervasive rest tables and chairs, small groups of adventurers in elite gear chatting quietly.
Everyone exuded a sharp presence, at least, appearing so in the current environnt.
