Michael Gordon’s gaze fell on her long hair, which had never been dyed and was naturally black. Her hair quality was excellent, even better than the images of spokesperson models for shampoo ads that had gone through special effects processing.

The faint scent of her hair filled the small space, making Michael montarily captivated. It was familiar, yet he couldn’t recall where he had slled it before. He quickly snapped out of it and took a few steps forward.

Ivy instinctively backed away until she was pressed against the cold wall. Michael placed both hands on the elevator walls, enclosing her between himself and the elevator wall, then looked down at her with deep, peach blossom eyes that glinted with a hint of green.

Michael’s gaze was too intense. Ivy’s mind flashed back to that night six years ago; the sa eyes staring at her aggressively. While n might forget such incidents quickly, won never could. Just looking at him made Ivy lose all her courage.

“What’s the matter? Scared now? Your sharp tongue-” Before he could finish the word ‘teeth,’ a ‘ding’ sound signaled the elevator door opening.

Hearing the sound, Ivy felt as though the horns of liberation were blaring. She swiftly ducked under his arm and escaped the elevator in one smooth motion.

Watching her flee in haste, the perfect curve of Michael’s mouth deepened even more. Since she had delivered herself to his doorstep, he couldn’t be blad for taking advantage.

Michael pushed open his office door to find Assistant Adam already waiting for him.

“Mr. Gordon, I found the person you asked

to look for!”

Michael loosened his tie and sat down in his office chair, eager to hear this piece of news.

“Ivy Aretha, 25 years old, a top student from the Law Departnt of Columbia University. She just returned from Arica with two years of experience as a legal consultant for a dia group abroad. Her work ability is quite outstanding…”

“Adam, are you reading

her resu?” Michael interrupted Adam impatiently, “Forget it. She’s already here. There’s no need to look into her anymore. You may leave.”

Upon starting her new job, Ivy witnessed the impressive efficiency of Allure International’s employees. In less than an hour, the Legal Departnt had moved to the 88th floor.

“Hello, my na is Sophia Young. We’ll be colleagues from now on. Welco to Allure International’s Legal Departnt!”

Sophia was the most enthusiastic mber of the Legal Departnt, with a lively and cheerful personality.
