Chapter 579: Chapter 558: Kiss

and Tell

What I Look Like!

Upon hearing those words, Oliver Thompson’s gaze inadvertently switched to the father and daughter duo who were incessantly displaying their fatherly love twenty-four hours a day. The thought of spending his days holding a child and cooing sweet nothings like that man did, made Mr. Thompson tremble. It was indeed a terrifying thought to him.

“Wife, Michael Gordon’s family had a daughter, but we have a son. We need to raise our son to be tough. What would we look like constantly doting over him!”

As he spoke, he glanced at Julia Harrison and seriously added, “However, if you do want to see

express my affection to our baby, let’s have another daughter. For a girl, I guarantee I’ll do a better job than Michael!”

Julia Harrison: “…”

This guy really takes every chance to bring up the topic of having another child!

“Alright, quit your nonsense. If you’re so hung up on the matter, then buck up and get your strength back. You’re overstaying your welco at soone else’s ho; you may have no sha, but I’m embarrassed!”

While speaking, Julia Harrison ordered a couple of people to assist her. They pushed the man along with the sofa directly into the living room, then she returned to the kitchen to continue her work. The sight of the woman bustling around the kitchen prompted Mr. Thompson to call Ivy Aretha and Michael Gordon down from upstairs.

When Ivy ca downstairs, she saw a man looking annoyed and grouchy sitting on the sofa, venting his anger over his own predicant.

“Oh, Mr. Thompson, who has vexed you now? Didn’t Cathy keep you company last night? Why do you still have a sour face?”

As Michael Gordon supported Ivy down the stairs, she took a side glance at the disgruntled man and loftily remarked. In a mont of ‘sudden realization’, she added, “Oh, I forgot, even if you’re welcod to bed, you don’t have the ability anymore!”

“What is it that required you to summon my wife from upstairs?”

Michael Gordon glanced at him, then led Ivy Aretha to the sofa, continuously reminding his wife to be careful. His devoted husband attitude infuriated Oliver Thompson to the point where he almost smacked him.

“Can you not act like a whipped husband in front of ?” Oliver Thompson rolled his eyes at him, “Is your wife made of porcelain, or can she not even walk properly now? My woman was easily moving up and down the stairs when she was over six months pregnant with my son!”

A pregnant woman should move around more, shouldn’t she!

Michael Gordon rolled his eyes at him in response: “You have the audacity to say that! You never knew how to treasure your wife, making her run away. I originally thought that this shaless attitude is because you realized your past mistakes. But listening to you now, it seems like you really don’t know where you went wrong!”

Michael has always been extrely indulgent towards Ivy. After all, it wasn’t easy to win her over. Once pregnant, he beca even more careful, treating her as if she were extrely fragile, to the point of feeding her als. Ivy was aware that Michael didn’t accompany her when she gave birth to Bianca. The man always felt this sense of inadequacy, as if he had missed out on sothing. This ti, he wishes to make up for that regret. And of course, Ivy wouldn’t discourage him from doing so.

Besides, her belly wasn’t in a normal state this ti. At just over four months into the pregnancy, her belly already looked larger than so six months pregnant. This was indeed abnormal. Plus, her right eyelid kept twitching, giving her a constant feeling of unease that was stronger than when she was pregnant with Bianca. Although she hadn’t told Michael anything, she was definitely more careful and cautious this ti.

So, when Mr. Gordon tried to pamper her, she gladly accepted his attention.

“Enough, Michael!”

At just one glance, Ivy could tell that Oliver’s mood was neither good nor bad, but inexplicably heavy. So, she stopped Michael from further retorts and turned to Thompson, asking, “What is it? Why did you call for ?”

While Michael was still upstairs, Oliver had already called her down, saying he wanted to discuss sothing. Ivy, who had initially planned to sleep a little longer, rushed downstairs imdiately upon hearing Oliver’s summons.

At her words, Oliver Thompson paused. A sliver of guilt flickered across his handso face, and after a mont he spoke up, “Uh… Didn’t you sign a nanny contract with my woman or sothing? I would like to discuss the matter of terminating that contract with you now!”

Ivy Aretha: “…”

“What, feeling bad for your wife now for making her my nanny?”

As she spoke, Ivy glanced at the seemingly high-spirited woman in the kitchen, “But why did you only think of this now after all this ti?”

“Enough, quit mocking !”

Oliver Thompson glanced at the uncooperative woman, and his eyes darkened. He went straight to the point without joking with them, “Enough with the nanny talk, she was just using that as an excuse not to go ho with . It’s about ti now, to destroy this la excuse of hers. You go and have a serious talk with her about terminating the contract. Once this damned excuse is abandoned, I’ll take her ho in a couple of days!”

Ivy Aretha: “…”

What happened to the promised ‘discussion’? How did it turn into an order?

“She’s looking for excuses?” Ivy looked amusingly at the ordinarily decisive and resolute man, then raised her eyebrows and retorted, “Look here, Oliver Thompson, what do you an ‘she’s looking for excuses to stay’? She’s waiting for you to tell her that you’ve terminated her contract and are ready to take her ho. Rather than saying she’s finding excuses not to go ho, it’s more like you haven’t given her a leg up to climb back into your house. I won’t ddle in your marital affairs. If you have sothing to say, say it to her yourself. Just make sure to pay

the penalty for contract violation!”

Oliver Thompson: “…”

If it weren’t for that last line about paynt for contract violation, Oliver would’ve been grateful to Ivy for enlightening him!

“Does Mr. Gordon, your husband, really need the money?” He dared to demand his contract violations fee, “When your daughter marries my son, I’ll give an extra betrothal gift!”

“You’re discussing betrothal gifts now? Oliver Thompson, are you afraid that our darling Bianca is having second thoughts about marrying your son Roy, the stone-faced deity?”

How audacious of him to bring up betrothal gifts now. It just goes to show that their darling Bianca is much sought after.

Oliver Thompson: “…”

Now he understood why Michael Gordon beca such a whipped husband. Speaking with Ivy really strained his brain cells to death!

His wife was indeed more adorable and easier to handle!

Before he could open his mouth to reply, a ‘beep’ sound from the mailbox ssage alert cut off his words before they could leave his mouth. The next mont his hand moved to reach his phone, opening his mail. The words staring right at him on the screen made Oliver Thompson widen his eyes. Suddenly, he refrained from leaning against the sofa, his face turning ashen in an instant as all the nerves in his body tightened.

With just one look, Michael Gordon noticed the man imdiately switching to battle mode.

“Oliver, what happened?”

“She’s got so nerve. I’m curious to see what bargaining chips she has to negotiate with !”

The email on Oliver Thompson’s screen read: I want to talk with you about the equity matters of the Harrison Group. If you’re too busy fawning over your wife, you might want to check out the video in the attachnt first, then decide if you want to talk to !

Sender: Amanda Foster!

The attachnt contained a video?

Seeing those words, Oliver Thompson’s hand rested on the download button for a while, and shook violently several tis before he finally clicked on ‘download’.
