Ivy Aretha, showing no fear towards Michael Gordon’s anger, chin raised, held his gaze, “You experienced my abilities last night, Mr. Gordon. I hope you will honor the promise you made last night, and not give
difficulties.”
She and Zach Gilbert never had anything to do with each other. Michael Gordon was just picking a fight unreasonably. At tis like this, it’s better to express oneself directly, especially since she had successfully completed the assessnt task he ntioned last night.

“Mr. Gordon, as you predicted, Zach Gilbert really waited all afternoon at the company entrance…”
Michael Gordon leaned against his office desk, listening to his assistant report on their duties. His expression remained nonchalant until he heard this. His expression tightened slightly, interrupting his assistant before he could finish.
“What about now? Did they both go for a candlelit dinner?”
Just rembering their conversation in the morning about Zach Gilbert asking her to have dinner together when she finished work filled Michael Gordon with heartache.
