Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Zhu Qianying, You’re Dood!
Qin Xiu was lost in the beautiful singing, so much so that he didn’t realize he was intruding on soone’s private mont.
As the others noticed the door abruptly being pushed open, their gazes simultaneously swept toward the entrance and landed on Qin Xiu at the forefront. When he spotted the man and woman standing in front of the screen with their arms draped around each other, his heart almost leapt out of his chest.
Instinctually, he tried to block his grandfather’s view.
Yet, even with his height-boosting insoles, he was only 1.78 ters tall compared to his grandfather’s near 1.9 ters of height, barefoot no less. The disparity was remarkably significant.
His attempt to block his grandfather’s view was nothing short of wishful thinking.
As expected, the next mont, he heard a low growl beside his ear, “Zhu Qianying, are you asking for death?!”
Everyone inside the room froze at the sound.
None of them, however, could see who had growled this still, after all, Qin Xiu was partially blocking the view of the angry young man.
All the four young masters inside assud that the growl was from those who were always seeking trouble with Zhu Qianying. Swiftly, they surrounded Zhu Qianying and Xing Bailun, ready to fight on their behalf at any mont.
Only Zhu Qianying recognized the growl to be from the jerk who had left her stranded on the road last night!
Such bad luck!
How long had it been since she went out to have fun? To think she would randomly run into this deviant!
Even though singing karaoke together wasn’t a big deal, why did he happen to walk in on her and Xing Bailun singing this particular song?
Zhu Qianying would know from their several past interactions just how suspicious and possessive this man could be.
Therefore, she could only pray in her mind for luck at this mont, hoping her friends wouldn’t get entangled in this predicant.
Zhu Qianying took a deep breath, removed her arm from Xing Bailun’s shoulder, and subtly removed his hand from her own shoulder as well.
Xing Bailun, who was still trying to grasp the situation, looked at Zhu Qianying with confusion, hoping for an explanation from her.
However, before the two could exchange any words, the fuming young man outside the door pushed past Qin Xiu and defiantly strode in.
In L City, it wasn’t strange for the poor to not recognize him, but every rich young master who ranked on the Rich List knew who he was.
“The Young Master?”
The four of them exclaid in unison, and Xing Bailun, who vaguely understood the situation, instinctively grabbed Zhu Qianying’s wrist, trying to pull her behind him.
Zhu Qianying didn’t want to get him involved. Initially, she planned to face this man head-on, but now, she exerts all her strength to shake off his hand, anwhile forcing a smile in the man’s direction.
“What a coincidence, you’re here for karaoke too!”
Among the people in the room, who did not think Zhu Qianying was naive? Did she not know that Tongyao was owned by the Tong family, which also ant it was owned by this young man?
Only the young man and Xing Bailun knew that Zhu Qianying was playing dumb in order to lighten the tense atmosphere.
However, if Xing Bailun hadn’t displayed any protective gestures towards Zhu Qianying, and if Zhu Qianying had maintained a good attitude, maybe this young man could have swallowed his pride. After all, their intimate behavior could also be interpreted as innocent friendly behavior between excited friends.
But what was happening now — Xing Bailun grabbing her arm and trying to hide her behind him — was no longer an act prompted by innocent excitent. Instead, it was a real display of a man’s protective instinct towards a woman he likes.
This was no longer just Zhu Qianying’s problem, but also Xing Bailun’s!
“Co here!”
The fuming young master stopped a few steps away from the group, glaring at Zhu Qianying and ordered in a cold tone.
Thinking about the two of them, who possibly had mutual feelings for each other, the young master wished he could order his n to take these two out and teach them a harsh lesson!
Zhu Qianying was not pleased by the young master’s nasty attitude, knowing it wasn’t just about protecting herself now, but also to ensure the safety of Xing Bailun and three others.
Herald as soone observant of the tis and self-aware, she finally managed to break free from Xing Bailun’s grip and wanted to walk towards the young man.
Xing Bailun didn’t dare to hold her hand again, knowing her temperant. If he crosses her bottom line, she would easily ignore him for a lifeti.
“Ying Zi! Co back, don’t be afraid, we’re with you!” While Xing Bailun didn’t extend his hand, he attempted to call her back with his voice.
The other three looked at each other, not understanding why the fuming young man suddenly harbored extre hatred towards Zhu Qianying.
The fuming young man now resembled a raging fire; anyone who ca close was at risk of being scorched or even burnt to death.
The fuming young man paid no attention to Xing Bailun, he was rely fixated on Zhu Qianying.
“Co here!”
Again, he ordered Zhu Qianying in a cold tone, but in comparison, sounded more polite, simply saying “co here” without the derogatory “roll”.
Perhaps, perceiving Zhu Qianying’s compromise, he instinctively softened his words a little.
“My Lord, I forgot to tell you earlier, but we’re fully booked today, and there’s only this last VIP room left. It’s rare for Master Xing and others to grace us with their presence, so I offered them this room!”
The utterly confused manager approached the fuming young man, nervously explaining the situation.
The fuming young man paid no attention to him though. Qin Xiu, wiping off cold sweat, yanked the manager into the corridor, whispering, “That’s enough, don’t bring more trouble here. You have nothing to do with this. Go and busy yourself with your own work!”
It all started because of the manager’s mistake.
If he had made things clear and stopped the fuming young man earlier, the current stand-off would have never happened.
So, how could this be resolved?
Qin Xiu was not sure whether the fuming young man was a jealous type or not, but he knew one thing — the chair once claid by the young master was always his exclusively. No one else was allowed to sit there!
A man who could be this possessive over an object would undoubtedly explode in rage while witnessing his future wife cosying up with a handso guy and hearing her sing, “I want to marry you today.” It would be strange if he weren’t furious!
From what Qin Xiu knew about the fuming young man, he probably wanted to blow up the VIP room at this very mont.
Of course, what Qin Xiu could guess, Zhu Qianying could guess as well.
She steeled herself and walked toward the young man.
“Young Master!”
The young man looked at her coldly, “Speak!”
Of course, Zhu Qianying knew what he ant. She wanted nothing more than to punch him in the face, but she couldn’t let her friends suffer the consequences of her impulsiveness.
Especially Xing Bailun.
“Young Master, let
introduce them to you. They’ve been my close friends since childhood.”
Like a perfectly normal person, Zhu Qianying stood beside the young master, her face calm as she pointed at Xing Bailun and the other three and spoke.
The young man’s sharp gaze rested on her face for a second before moving onto the four young masters.
