This response was completely off-topic. Lu Jingyan looked up, “Huh?”
“If you want to et her, I’ll take you to see her.” After a pause, Sheng Xian added, “But, you’ll have to call her ‘sister’.”
Chen Kai had told him about his situation, and he apparently didn’t have a sister. Lu Jingyan was a bit confused, “Sister?”
“Yes, not by blood, but it’s almost the sa.” Sheng Xian’s eyelashes twitched slightly, as if he was recalling sothing. He was lost in thought for a mont, then after two seconds he looked at her and said, “So other ti.”

Lu Jingyan always felt there was a deeper aning to Sheng Xian’s words, as if he were trying to win her over within this ti fra, then take her to et his family.
Thinking this, Lu Jingyan quickly suppressed the ssy thoughts swirling in her mind.
It was just her overthinking that had led to that previous embarrassing joke.
The car fell silent again.
After so idle chat with Sheng Xian, Lu Jingyan had unknowingly relaxed.
Having been awake so long, she was starting to feel sleepy, but she didn’t want to leave the car and go ho, so she just kept forcing herself to stay awake in the car.
During one of the monts when she couldn’t keep her eyes open, she heard Sheng Xian call her.
“Ayan.”
Lu Jingyan paused, held back a yawn that was on the tip of her tongue, and turned her head.
“Have you encountered sothing terrifying, which is why you keep having nightmares?” He had no proof, but he always felt that it might be related to why she had beco like this today.
Lu Jingyan hadn’t expected Sheng Xian to guess so accurately. She was silent for a while and then slowly acknowledged with a hum.
“Brother is also scared of soone, but Brother is trying hard to move on, so Little Fish, you also have to try hard to move on.” Sheng Xian raised his hand and rubbed her head, “It’s okay if you can’t get over it, Brother will stay by your side.”
He thought for a mont, then added, “If you have nightmares again, just call .”
Lu Jingyan clenched the water bottle in her hands, her heart fluttering uncontrollably at his words; she tried to maintain her composure as she asked, “Wouldn’t that be too much trouble for you?”
“Not at all.” The dim streetlight shone into the car, casting shadows on his face, making his features seem softer, but his voice carried a rare gentleness, “As long as it’s Little Fish, it’s no trouble.”
“Also, about making
swear earlier, I wasn’t upset, just worried you were in a bad mood, so I was just teasing you,” Sheng Xian said, lowering his gaze as he smiled slightly, his lips curling up at the edges: “Sworn or not, I would never lie to our Little Fish.”

The next ti Lu Jingyan opened her eyes, she saw blindingly bright sunlight.
She was slightly stunned for a mont, then realized she was still in the car.
The passenger seat she was leaning on had been reclined without her knowing, and she was covered with a black coat.

The words he had spoken before she fell asleep last night once again surfaced in her mind.
Lu Jingyan pursed her lips, feeling her heart once again starting to race uncontrollably.
On Valentine’s Day, after realizing she had misunderstood everything, she avoided him; partly because she was embarrassed, and partly because she wanted to cool down.
