Chapter 34: Much Needed Spells

"Halt!!!" As the troops of the death squad approached the encampnt, a few n erged from inside the bushes and stopped them in their tracks.

They went forward and spoke to the leaders in the front, and soon they were let through and proceeded into the encampnt.

The encampnt was huge and bustled with comrce and trade. As they rode down the street, this was quite evident. There were people from different factions of the humans all over the place, and all of them ca here for their own purposes.

So were here to sell their good, so were here to buy warlock slaves. But most of them were here to hunt.

This encampnt was very close to the heaven devourer mountain range. Forgetting about the myths and legends surrounding this mountain range, it was also the border between Eldoria and the great Wilderness...this ant that it was a major escape route for fleeing warlocks.

" Stock up on supplies, we are in it for the long run" the commanding officer of the death squad announced.

After a few minutes, they reached a stable where they parked their carriages and horses. Their search for the blood serpent clan brought them to this place and they would make sure they were victorious before leaving.

But first they had to stock up on materials, least they get stuck without water or food inside the mountain range.

"Yes sir!!" The n saluted and not long after, they dispersed info the crowd and bustling market of the encampnt.

At that mont, Arian and Leon were also preparing to stock up on supplies. But right behind them were about 4 guards watching them closely.

"Let's go" Leon said with a big smile on his face, he seed to be delighted. But contrary to what Leon was feeling, Arian looked annoyed.

Forget about the fact that she didn't want to be here, she was being followed like a common criminal and it really pissed her off. Then there was Leon, smiling like a four-year-old child.

"Mm!!" Arian nodded and started moving towards the market alongside Leon and her 'personal guard team'.

"Good day misses, what may I help you with today? " Arian and ca to a halt near an inconspicuous store in the streets.

"Do you have any cleansing wind balm?" Arian inquired from the store owner.

"Ah? Why yes, we have the high-quality ones in stock. It's about 50 silver coins" the store owner said with a smile on his face. A rich lady had appeared before his store with her slaves and bodyguards. This was his lucky day.

However, he couldn't have predicted what would co out of Arian's mouth next.

"Hm? What? Do you take

for a fool? I wouldn't buy a bottle of cleansing balm for 50 silver coins even if you held my first son hostage!!" Arian threw a tantrum imdiately. She was usually cold and prideful in her dealings, but whenever it ca to matters having to do with negotiations. She would beco shaless.

She didn't even have a child, but here she was throwing him under the bus for 50 sliver coins.

Even the guards behind couldn't help but take a step back when Arian began bargaining, as if trying to show that they had nothing to do with her.

Leon could only smile at this scene...he watched as they walked from store to store bargaining for different items and services.....and soon enough they arrived at a store that piqued Leon's interest.

"Store owner, I need warlock spells of the blood and serpent variety. Nothing too strong should typically hover around level 1 or level 2"

This store was a spell shop, it dealt with the sale of spells for magic users, as such, the store was quite extravagant.

"Hm? Don't speak to , you slave. Have so respect or else..." Seeing Leon make such a demand of him annoyed the store owner.

Forgetting the fact that this person was a warlock, why on earth would a kid like him speak to soone of his standing? Spells were the backbone of Any magic user, so he as a supplier of these spells was an essential worker.

"Hm? That's..." when Leon heard the reply, he froze for a minute. But soon after he understood. He might have left the Tamlin camp, but that didn't an he was free. He was as much a slave here as he was in the tamlin camp.

"Miss, keep your pet in check, if you want to get sothing useful for him, you should order it yourself and don't bring sha to us" the store owner looked over at Arian and said.

He could tell she was Rich and influential, but he could also see that she was young. It was normal for a spoiled noble like her not to understand certain innuendo of society at this point.

"Hmm, give him what he asked for. " Arian said calmly, not bothered by the store owners' words. She couldn't give a caring damn if he felt disrespected.

"Hey!!" The store owner wanted to react, but the sight of the big blurry figures behind Arian made him shrink back.

"Hmm," having no choice, the store owner went back into his store and brought out 4 spells manuals.

"This is all I have for the blood and serpent categories"

Most of the warlock spells they had were ones stolen from captured Warlocks or directly from the tongues of the warlocks.

"The first one is called Wind Snake Arrows. The na speaks for itself, it enables you to create little wind snake apparitions and use them as arrows. It's around middle grade level 1"

"The second one is called Anaconda Grip. It allows you to put restrictions on your opponent. Basically, makes your opponent feel like they are being gripped by an Anaconda. It's also Around middle grade level 1"

"....."

"Last but not the least, we have Blood Rage. This is basically an enhancent spell. It increases overall body strength and agility at the cost of your blood. It's quite dangerous, but from what I've heard from the previous user. Even though it's early grade level 1, it can scale all the way to peak-stage level 1 depending on how much blood you're willing to sacrifice."

They all had their upsides and downsides. Of course, so more than others, but the gist was pretty clear.

"I will take these three" Leon didn't hesitate as he picked three out of the four spells presented to him.

He had been lacking spells for the longest ti and getting so was very necessary at this ti. So imdiately Arian suggested the altering of the oath. Leon added this to the new agreent.

She would buy him any spell/spells of his choosing as long as it wasn't overkill.

So, in truth Arian would be the one to foot the bill for these spells
