Chapter 133: Chapter 132: Ling Qi, The Brother. (Part 1)

On the first day out in the wild, the new recruits experienced a mix of harmony and misery. At night, they sank into deep slumber, rejuvenating for the possible harsher training of the next day.

Not far from the warehouse, soone stood with his sleeves rolled slightly below the shoulders, revealing robust biceps. His tight-fitting shirt showed off his solid eight-pack abs.

Indifferently glancing at the person next to him, he remarked, “Not layered enough?” Mocking his choice of clothing that showed off even more skin, he said, “Showing off your muscles and no one is looking, isn’t it cold at night?”

Even if he didn’t say it, Ling Qi knew his friend was making fun of him. But, he smiled and encouraged, “Keep it up, I’m rooting for you.” In reality, he was already itching to join, but couldn’t. The reason he was wearing so little was to cool his boiling heart. He wanted more than anything to step into the ring himself.

One day, he would certainly seize the opportunity to have a hearty fight with Mu Lin. For now, though, he would stand aside and watch his friend’s astonished expression.

Mu Lin, one could look forward to him.

“Are you sure you want to follow

into this?” Jing Chen looked at the tightly shut main gate and asked demandingly. For so reason, he was unusually unable to read this young man today.

“As long as I don’t get completely ssed up, it’s fine,” Ling Qi dismissed, seeming nonchalant. “Of course, it would be better if you could restrain yourself a little.” This guy was rough; he admired the toughness of his subordinates who, instead of being damaged by Jing Chen’s training, beca more aggressive.

He was referring to Ying Sun.

Hearing Ling Qi’s words, Jing Chen neutrally glanced at him, “Then why don’t you take it on yourself.” Having to hold back was a nuisance.

“Can’t help it. I’m their instructor; I can’t personally step in.” His voice was filled with regret and helplessness. “So, since you’ve shown up, I won’t hold back.” He absolutely couldn’t let this guy realize how envious he was at the mont.

Jing Chen rely glanced at him indifferently again, “Just don’t regret it.” It was obvious he wanted to take the challenge himself. Acting.

As soone who trained alongside Ling Qi, Jing Chen, although not too close to his friend, certainly had a good understanding of him. Ling Qi used to be quite resilient and pugnacious, but over the years, his temper had gradually llowed a great deal.

Yep. He had matured.

Back then, because Jing Chen’s physique was the best amongst all the new recruits in the camp, he was even better than the instructors. This caught the attention of the fight-loving Ling Qi, who challenged him countless tis, both overtly and covertly. Despite never succeeding and always getting beaten up, Ling Qi never gave up.

Perhaps due to consistently being brought down, Ling Qi suddenly had an epiphany. From then on, Jing Chen suddenly had a tail: wherever he went, the tail would follow—eating, sleeping, bathing—sticking incredibly close. While Jing Chen wasn’t the warm type, he got used to certain people’s thick skin and let it be.

Gradually, Ling Qi beca the only person that Jing Chen could call a friend in the vast military camp.

In the beginning, it was just self-proclaid by soone who had thick skin, but after one incident, Jing Chen admitted it himself.

Ling Qi was a brother.
