Chapter 890: 876, or maybe you two can et (2)

“Let’s go, we’re heading back to Shijin Haoting,” Jian Qing said softly.

Mo Xiao glanced at Old Master An and then looked at Jian Qing, sowhat understanding.

“Jian Qing, didn’t you hear what the doctor said? It’s not suitable for the old master to be discharged from the hospital right now. If sothing happens, can you bear the responsibility?” Zhou Qi saw they were about to take Old Master An to Shijin Haoting and imdiately objected.

“This is my own decision, it has nothing to do with the young lady. You don’t need to interfere,” Old Master An defended Jian Qing.

“Dad!” Zhou Qi opened her mouth, unwilling to give up and wanting to say more, but Mo Xiao interrupted her.

“Qingqing, you take the elevator down. I’ll go get the car.”

“Okay,” Jian Qing nodded, pushing Old Master An’s wheelchair towards the elevator with Jian Luo.

“Azhe, why are you also ssing around?” Zhou Qi blocked Mo Xiao’s way, scolding him with a dark face, “The old master is in bad health right now, if sothing bad happens, then…”

“Enough, stop talking,” An Zhonghui pulled her away, looking at Mo Xiao with a complex expression. “Azhe, take good care of the old master.”

“Mm,” Mo Xiao responded and stepped forward to follow Jian Qing and the others.

“Zhonghui, why are you also joining in their nonsense,” Zhou Qi couldn’t help but complain as she watched the elevator doors close.

“It’s fine, if Dad doesn’t want to stay in the hospital, let him be,” An Zhonghui said and, without paying attention to her, left first.

Zhou Qi muttered discontentedly and reluctantly followed him.

After accompanying Old Master An back to Shijin Haoting, Jian Qing returned to the Quan Family ho. As she entered the living room, she saw no one around.

Strange, where are Seventeen and the others?

She stopped a passing servant and asked, “Where are my mother and the others?”

“The second madam and the old madam have gone out. Master Jingwu and the two young masters are upstairs,” the servant replied respectfully.

Jian Qing’s brows lifted slightly. Xiaojing was back so soon?

She went upstairs, the laughter of the two little treasures echoed through the hallway, and hearing those crisp laughs, the shadows in her heart swept away.

The bedroom door was ajar. Jian Qing pushed the door and walked in, only to see a plump little bun crawling towards her.

“Nineteen, why aren’t you wearing any clothes?” Jian Qing laughed lightly, bent down to pick him up. The little guy’s damp hair brushed against her chin, and he giggled.

She glanced around the room and saw Jingwu sitting on the edge of the bed dressing Seventeen. Carrying Nineteen, she walked over. “Jingwu, why did you bathe them so early?”

“These two troublemakers were covered in mud from playing in the courtyard,” Jingwu said helplessly, his tone brimming with indulgence.

Jian Qing placed Nineteen on the bed and picked up his clothes to help him put them on, but Nineteen seed to be teasing Jian Qing, rolling about on the bed, making it difficult for her to dress him.

“I’ll do it.” Jingwu handed Seventeen to her, took the clothes from her hands, and with a swift movent of his strong arm, wrapped Nineteen in his embrace.

“Nineteen, are you itching for a lesson, hmm?”

He patted the little one’s bottom lightly, and Nineteen imdiately behaved, blinking his magnificent purple eyes, trying to act cute.

“Nineteen, do you know it’s shaful to act cute?” Jian Qing, holding Seventeen with one arm, used her free hand to lightly pinch Nineteen’s cheek, her voice playful.

“Good treasure, so you understand that too,” Jingwu teased as he continued to dress Nineteen.

“Get out of here,” Jian Qing laughed and cursed playfully.

Seeing her smile put Jingwu at ease. After dressing Nineteen, he set him down to play on the bed with Seventeen.

“How is great-grandfather?” he asked softly as he pulled her to sit down.

“He’s staying at Shijin Haoting.” Thinking back to Old Master An’s words in the hospital ward, the smile gradually faded from Jian Qing’s face.

“Bai Jue said the situation isn’t so good.”

Even Bai Jue was out of options, the hope was even more remote.

She tilted her head and leaned on his shoulder, playing with his hand as cold as jade, “Xiaojing, let’s take Seventeen and the others to Shijin Haoting tomorrow.”

“Okay,” he said.

Jian Qing smiled faintly, turned to look at the two little treasures who were playing happily behind her, and gripped Quan Jingwu’s hand tighter, “Xiaojing, you have to stay with

forever.”

Quan Jingwu looked down at her, “Don’t worry, you can’t get rid of

now.”

As they finished speaking, they shared a smile.

-- Line Break --

After lunch, Zhan Mingyan lazily lounged on the sofa watching dramas.

The sound of wind chis tinkled and clinked.

She looked up at the doorway and saw the visitor, slightly startled, “Mom, what are you doing here?” Weren’t you going to go shopping with your girlfriends today?

Lu Hui set down her bag and sat beside her, “He Min’s mother felt unwell, so she canceled the plans at the last minute, and I thought I’d co to see you.”

“Auntie He doesn’t have anything serious, I hope?” Zhan Mingyan asked.

“Nothing serious, just a slight cold.”

Zhan Mingyan let out an ‘oh’ and then, seeing her mother looking around curiously, strangely asked, “Mom, what are you looking for?”

“Yanyan, why haven’t I seen Bai Jue around here recently?” Lu Hui brought her gaze back and inquired.

Zhan Mingyan looked at her with a full head of bewildernt, “Mom, why are you so concerned about him? It’s as if he’s your own child.”

“What, are you jealous?” Lu Hui stretched out her hand, gently tapping on her forehead, speaking with a smile brimming in her eyes.

“Yeah, I’m jealous,” she said, not taking it seriously.

Lu Hui, “Have you not resolved the issues between you?”

“Mom, I’ve told you eight hundred tis already, it’s impossible between him and .” Zhan Mingyan leaned back and sank into the sofa.

“If it’s impossible, then why are you so down in the dumps?” Lu Hui pierced through her thoughts; she was her own flesh and blood, so how could she not understand her?

“I’m not,” she denied.

“Still saying you’re not? Your emotions are written all over your face, being absent-minded all day, and you’re saying you’re not?” Lu Hui snatched away the pillow she was holding in front of her face and bluntly said.

“Aiyo, my dear mother, can’t you just spare your daughter, acting like I’m dying to get married.” Zhan Mingyan covered her face with her hands and coquettishly drew out her words.

“Look at Jian Qing, she’s younger than you and is already married with children, when can you make

a grandmother?”

Zhan Mingyan gave a playful smile and made faces, “Mom, why don’t you and dad have another one?” so she wouldn’t keep harping on her.

“You naughty child, are you asking for a spanking?” Lu Hui laughed and scolded, gently swatting her leg, “What nonsense are you talking?”

Zhan Mingyan made a face and picked up her phone to continue watching her dramas.

“Yanyan, I’m serious now, do you really not like him?” Lu Hui took her phone and asked.

Zhan Mingyan looked down, feigning indifference, “Yeah, I don’t like him.”

“Alright then, since you’ve said so, I won’t press you on your business with Bai Jue anymore,” Lu Hui handed back the phone and said.

Zhan Mingyan eyed her skeptically. Had her mother changed her ways, being so easygoing today?

Before she pondered too long, Lu Hui continued, “Yanyan, a couple of days ago, Auntie Lin’s son ca back from abroad, how about you two et?”
