Chapter 763: 749, Hit the Dog Skin Plaster (3)_1
“Brother San, here’s your phone,” she handed the phone to Quan Jingwu, saying, “The man in black who took Sister San wore a fang mask, and he was ard.”
Quan Jingwu’s eyes froze as if caught in a storm at these words, he lowered his gaze toward the phone in his hand. Rembering sothing Jian Qing had once told him, he quickly unlocked the phone and began to operate it.
“You guys should go back.”
Dropping these words, Quan Jingwu turned the steering wheel and left in a cloud of dust.
…
With a clear sky overhead, seagulls were skimming freely over the sea.
On the beach, Shen Yan’s long shadow seed to be casting an aura of solitude.
Quick footsteps approached from behind, A’er was panting a bit, “Second Master, it’s bad news. Sothing’s wrong.”
A sinking feeling ca over Shen Yan, and he turned around.
“Speak.”
A’er stood still, his face serious, “Eldest Master has made his move on Jian Qing.”
“How is she? Is she injured?” Shen Yan stepped forward, grabbing A’er’s arm, his eyes filled with worry.
“She is fine for now. We got word that the eldest master has prepared a plane on the outskirts of town. He likely intends to bring Jian Qing back, so she should be safe for now.” A’er explained.
Hearing this, Shen Yan’s eyes flickered with a trace of disappointnt and anger.
His eldest brother had ultimately broken his promise and made a move on Jian Qing.
How could he do such a thing?
“A’er, where are our n now?”
A’er replied, “I’ve already arranged for them to lie in wait on the outskirts. We’re just waiting for your order.”
Taking a deep breath, Shen Yan’s eyes flashed with determination, “No matter the cost, keep Jian Qing safe. I’ll take care of my eldest brother’s side. Make sure to protect Jian Qing and the child in her belly.”
“I understand.” A’er nodded respectfully and left.
The chill sea breeze that brushed against his face seed to cool Shen Yan’s heart.
He slowly closed his eyes, the corner of his lips curving up into a bitter smile.
Eldest Brother, you forced
to be your enemy. Don’t bla
for this!
After a mont, he opened his eyes and walked away.
The building’s cold tones stood out on this island.
The black marble floor, luxurious crystal lights, and valuable ornants scattered around all exuded an unltable chill.
On the wall, the CCTV was displaying live footage from inside the eting room.
Shen Hua was leaning on the couch, reviewing docunts in his hands. The stack of docunts in front of him was evidence of his busy schedule.
“Clear out, all of you make way for .”
A commotion arose from the door, Shen Hua recognized the familiar voice. A shadow flickered deep in his eyes, and he switched off the conference with a remote.
“Let him in.”
Not long after, Shen Yan walked in, a hostile aura emanating from him.
“Shen Hua!”
He glared at the man lounging on the sofa, his suppressed anger finally exploded.
“Shen Hua, how can you still be calm and reviewing docunts here? What kind of heart do you have to be so ruthless?”
“Shen Yan, mind your manners!” Shen Hua lifted his gaze from the docunts, and his displeased eyes t Shen Yan’s.
“Heh!”
Shen Yan gave a cold smile, strode forward, snatched the docunts from Shen Yan’s hands, and threw them on the floor.
Slam!
Shen Hua looked at the docunts lying on the floor, his brows furrowed.
“Shen Yan, don’t go too far.”
With a mocking smile, Shen Yan gripped the collar of his shirt, pulling Shen Hua up, “Shen Hua, I told you before, if you lay a hand on Jian Qing, you’d force
to beco your enemy. Twenty years ago, you nearly killed Awei, and seventeen years ago you ruined her and her child. Now you’re planning to hurt her child again, don’t you feel a shred of guilt?”
Shen Hua pushed his hand away, shouting a warning, “Shen Yan!”
“Shen Hua, she called you ‘Brother Hua’ for over twenty years. How can you be so cruel to her? That’s her daughter.” Shen Yan pointed at his chest, emphasizing every word.
“When you wake from your dreams at midnight, don’t you ever dream of her casting you resentful looks?”
“Enough, don’t say anymore.” Shen Hua, with bloodshot eyes, glared at him, grabbing his collar and shouted in a cold voice.
Shen Yan looked at his tortured expression and laughed mockingly, “Shen Hua, don’t say you’re doing it for . You’ve always been selfish, caring only about yourself. Your love was not for her but for yourself. Or else, you wouldn’t have treated her that way.”
Having said that, he pushed Shen Hua away and walked out the door.
Staring at his disappearing figure, Shen Hua stood there in daze.
…
On the highway, Quan Jingwu stepped on the gas pedal, the roar of the engine ringing out boldly in the sky as the car raced quickly forward, leaving only a phantom in its wake.
Shen Hao sat in the passenger seat, observing Quan Jingwu’s tense profile. Quan Jingwu’s strong aura made it hard for Shen Hao even to breathe.
Damn.
If they caught those guys who kidnapped the madam, he’d rip them apart.
His boss’s rage was about to engulf him too.
Suddenly, a red Ferrari ca into view, its headlights glaring bright. Shen Hao’s face changed.
“Boss, watch out!”
His violent purple gaze darkened, and with a swift move, the black sports-car scraped past the crash barrier, slamming into the Ferrari’s tail.
Bang!
Shen Hao recovered his senses and placed a hand on his chest.
Thank goodness their boss’s car was custom-made with special materials. Otherwise, the resultant collision might have caused serious damage.
The door of the red Ferrari opened and a slender figure stumbled out.
“Jingwu!”
The voice that called out was soft and gentle.
Shen Hao lifted his eyes and his mouth twitched.
Damn.
They’d run into a persistent pest.
The woman’s long hair was disheveled, her forehead was bruised, and her face showed light scratches. She appeared to be in a pitiful state.
The owner of the Ferrari was Song Xirou.
“Jingwu, are you hurt?” She sprinted over with shaky steps, her hands resting on the car’s window, her voice anxious.
“I was so scared just now. I was hurrying back to the office and driving too fast. Are you all right? Should I go to the hospital with you for a check-up?”
As Shen Hao watched the concerned face of the woman, an undisguised look of disgust flashed in his eyes.
Was there sothing wrong with this woman’s brain?
“Get lost!” Quan Jingwu shot her a cold look, his lips parting slightly.
As she t his icy gaze, Song Xirou slowed her breathing, feeling as though her throat was being strangled and was left gasping for air.
“Jingwu, I …”
“Get lost!”
Quan Jingwu stepped on the gas pedal, and the black sports car took off in a cloud of dust, leaving Song Xirou mouthful with dust.
“Jingwu!”
When Song Xirou ca to her senses, unable to believe that Quan Jingwu had just left her behind, she looked up at the disappearing car and scread hysterically.
“Quan Jingwu, co back!”
How could he leave without hesitation? Didn’t he see that she was injured?
If Jian Qing was important to him, did that give him the right to trample all over her feelings?
