Chapter 743: 729, Take her for a ride, Take her to fly (3)_1
Hotel, Presidential Suite
“Mum, I got it, I’ll be careful, you don’t have to worry.” Sitting on the sofa, Zhan Mingyan was holding a pillow and talking on the phone to her mother.
“Yeah, yeah, I know, you’ve told
a thousand tis.”
“Knock, knock, knock.”
The sound of knocking pulled Zhan Mingyan out of her conversation.
Could it be Sanny?
“Mum, I’ve gotta go, so friends are here for .”
After quickly hanging up, Zhan Mingyan moved to the door, abandoning her pillow and taking modest steps.
Opening the door, she was surprised to see the visitor standing there.
“You, how co you’re here?”
Outside the door, Bai Jue stood, his hands in his pockets, a hint of a smirk in his eyes, “Well, are you planning to let your guest stand at the door?”
“Co in.” Zhan Mingyan stepped aside, allowing him in.
Bai Jue walked in without any hesitation.
Zhan Mingyan closed the door, turning around only to find Bai Jue making himself comfortable on the sofa.
Under the light, his vaguely mischievous eyes sparkled, the perfectly balanced lips were curled in a charming smile that could make one’s heart race.
Zhan Mingyan caught herself staring at Bai Jue, she quickly covered her embarrassnt and walked over to him.
“It looks like you’re healing well.” Bai Jue gave her a look and comnted.
Zhan Mingyan took a seat opposite him, her heart pounding as they were alone in the room. She hurriedly tried to find a topic for conversation.
“What brings you here today?”
“Here, your dication.” Bai Jue pulled out so pills from his pocket, casually throwing them to her, “Three tis a day, rember to finish them all.”
Zhan Mingyan instinctively caught the pills.
She looked at the pills in her hands, feeling a warmth in her heart.
“Thank you.”
Bai Jue raised an eyebrow, “You don’t need to thank , invite
for a al instead.”
“Okay.” Zhan Mingyan readily agreed.
Bai Jue was surprised, looking at her in astonishnt, “Why are you so kind today, could it be that you’ve taken the wrong pills?”
“…”
Zhan Mingyan’s face turned dark, the pleasant mood evaporated.
Damn it, Bai Jue, you and your nasty tongue.
Before she could react, Bai Jue teasingly asked, “Would you like to go out for a ride?”
“For a ride?” Zhan Mingyan’s anger was swiftly extinguished by his question.
Bai Jue, “Aren’t you bored staying in here?”
“You want to take
out?” Zhan Mingyan was taken aback.
Is he the one who took the wrong ds or sothing?
“Not keen?” Bai Jue smirked, “If you’re not interested, then let’s forget about it, I’m not one to force others.”
With that, he stood up to leave, bidding her farewell, “I’ll be taking my leave now.”
Seeing him about to leave, Zhan Mingyan quickly stood up and called out to him.
“Wait.”
Bai Jue paused, glancing back at her, “Changed your mind?”
“I never said I wasn’t going.” Zhan Mingyan muttered softly.
“Then go get changed.” Bai Jue crossed his arms, eyeing her ho clothes, suggesting, “Also, don’t wear a skirt.”
Zhan Mingyan was puzzled, not understanding why he’d specifically told her not to wear a skirt.
“Why?”
“You’ll know soon enough.” Bai Jue replied, keeping the suspense.
Zhan Mingyan gave him a dubious glance and chose not to ask further. She walked over to her wardrobe and pulled out a different set of clothes.
“If you want to change here, I wouldn’t mind watching.” Bai Jue followed her with his eyes, making a deliberate jest.
“Pervert, shaless.” Zhan Mingyan scowled, clenching the clothes in her hand, gave him a deadly glare, then walked into the bathroom, slamming the door shut.
Bai Jue leaned against the doorfra, casually scrolling through Facebook on his phone.
In no ti, the bathroom door opened, the sound of footsteps approaching.
“I’ve changed. Let’s go.”
Hearing her voice, Bai Jue looked up. The sight of her lightly dressed face dazzled him, her eyes sparkling brightly, shallow dimples gracing her cheeks, her sweet smile made him catch his breath.
As his gaze was about to shift, he noticed her outfit. A smirk spread across his face.
“Zhan Mingyan, do you want to match our outfits or sothing?”
White shirt, black pants, wasn’t this practically the sa as his outfit?
Zhan Mingyan glanced down at her clothes and then looked at his. She then noticed that they were both wearing the sa color sche.
Her lips twitched. Would he believe her if she said it was a coincidence?
“Who cares about matching outfits with you. I’ll go change again.”
With that, she huffed, turned and was about to change her clothes again, to demonstrate that she didn’t want to match outfits with him.
Bai Jue quickly grabbed her, “Alright, I was just kidding. Why so serious?”
Zhan Mingyan was pulled by him and lost her footing. She stumbled backwards, looking at his hand resting on her wrist, her cheeks slightly flushed.
“Let’s go, don’t dawdle.” Bai Jue discreetly let go of her hand, walking ahead of her.
Just as Zhan Mingyan was about to close the door, she rembered sothing and went back into the room. After a while, she ca out with a jacket in her arms.
After locking the door, she hurried to catch up with Bai Jue.
“Bai Jue, here’s your jacket back.”
Bai Jue glanced at the jacket she was holding but didn’t take it, “Keep it on, it’s going to be cold while we ride.”
“No need, it’s not that cold today.” Zhan Mingyan replied.
Bai Jue, “Wear it, I won’t be responsible if you catch a cold.”
Zhan Mingyan pursed her lips and silently held onto the jacket.
When they exited the hotel, Zhan Mingyan realized why he had insisted that she wear the jacket.
Against the setting sun, a black and white motorcycle stood out amongst the luxurious sedans.
Zhan Mingyan swallowed, “Don’t tell
you’re planning to take
for a ride on this?”
Bai Jue smiled, “That’s right, fancy, isn’t it?”
“Absolutely fancy.” Zhan Mingyan agreed, her expression odd.
She had never been on a motorcycle before.
“Don’t you like it?” Bai Jue gazed at her, asking.
“Not at all, just amazed because this is my first ti seeing one.” Zhan Mingyan redirected her gaze at him, her eyes glimring with excitent.
“Bai Jue, did you know that I’ve always wanted to try this? Do you know how to race like they do on TV?”
She had never dared to try riding one of these, especially because her mother strictly forbade her from trying dangerous activities.
Each ti she watched TV and saw others racing these motorcycles, she could only look on with envy.
“No one can match my driving skills.” Bai Jue confidently handed her a helt.
“Put this on, let’s go for a ride.”
Zhan Mingyan eagerly nodded, putting on the helt.
Bai Jue, on the other hand, didn’t wear a helt. He gracefully swung a leg over the motorcycle and twisted the handle. The engine roared to life, an imposing sound that echoed into the sky.
The series of movents, perford by him, looked especially cool.
“Get on.”
Zhan Mingyan nodded, placing one hand on his shoulder and clambering on behind him.
