Chapter 525: 510, The most difficult dicinal bath to endure _1

“Luoluo!” Jian Luo’s fine features suddenly darkened as he reached out to grab his shoulder, “I’m telling you, I can’t agree to this. It’s not fair to Black Jack, and it’s not fair to yourself either. Stop thinking nonsense. With Bai Jue, he won’t let anything happen to you.”

“But, the doctor said the virus in my body might make

blind.” Jian Luo’s eyes were filled with sorrow, “I’ll just be a burden to Black Jack like this.”

Jian Qing hugged him, raising her hand to soothe his head and softly counselled, “That’s not true. The doctor and Bai Jue both said it’s just a possibility, it’s not certain that you’ll go blind. You’re not a burden, and Black Jack wouldn’t think so either. Do you rember when we first t Black Jack? He was always by your side, did he ever think you were a burden then?”

At these words, Jian Luo fell silent.

He knew that as long as Black Jack was there, he would never think of him as a burden. It was just that he couldn’t bear for him to suffer alongside him.

“Luoluo, do not overthink. We’re all here for you. Once you get better, I promise Grandpa and Dad will agree to you and Black Jack being together.” Jian Qing rubbed his face, lifting the corners of his mouth with her fingertips.

“My Luoluo loves to smile the most, you are not supposed to carry such sadness on your face.”

eting her warm gaze, Jian Luo’s lips lifted slightly.

“That’s better. I returned ho without eating anything yet. Would you like to join

for a al?” Jian Qing embraced his arm, winking at him.

“Yeah,” He nodded.

Jian Qing helped him stand and open the door, only to see Black Jack leaning against the wall.

“How did you get out of bed?”

He quickly walked over, supporting him on the other side.

“I’m going to have dinner with my sister,” Jian Luo said with a faint smile.

Hearing him ntion food, Black Jack’s eyes lit up.

Due to the frequent bouts of his illness, he barely had any appetite over these past few days. Neither him nor Grandpa knew what to do when he refused to eat.

It seed that only Jian Qing had a way.

“I’ll tell the kitchen to prepare right away.”

Having said that, he hurriedly ran downstairs.

Jian Qing supported him, the corners of her mouth curving up slightly, “See? As long as you’re by his side, he is a happy Black Jack. If you leave him, Black Jack will never smile again.”

“Sister, I understand.”

After hearing that Jian Luo would be eating, Grandpa ordered a table full of dishes to be made.

Jian Qing and the four of them gathered around the table. Throughout the al, nobody ntioned Jian Luo’s condition, creating a rather lively atmosphere overall.

“Eat more.” Black Jack kept filling Jian Luo’s plate, seemingly wanting to stuff all of the food on the table into his stomach.

“Black Jack, are you raising pigs?” Jian Luo, now full, looked at the small mountain of food piled on his plate and joked.

“Isn’t it obvious? Of course, I’m raising you, my pet pig.” Bai Jue added mockingly.

“Bai Jue, I think you’ve beco even more annoying since you ca back.” Jian Luo put down his chopsticks, sending him a disdainful look.

Bai Jue, now completely engulfed in his narcissism, retorted, “That’s definitely a problem with your eyesight. I’ve definitely beco even more handso since I returned.”

“Get lost, you.” Jian Luo chuckled.

Matching Jian Luo and Black Jack’s banter, Jian Qing continued to fill her bowl, with Quan Jingwu no less enthusiastic than Black Jack.

Bai Jue looked at Jian Qing’s bowl, then at Jian Luo’s, and chuckled, “You two eat more, so you can be a pair of fat siblings.”

After all, they were twins, so they should fatten up together.

“Bai Jue, just you wait. Once I’m better, I’ll definitely beat you down.” Now relaxed from Jian Qing’s counselling, Jian Luo’s spirits had lifted considerably.

Bai Jue raised an eyebrow, “Sure, I’m scared.”

After dinner, Bai Jue didn’t linger in the living room and went straight back to his room to study the virus in Jian Luo’s body.

Thankfully, Jian Luo didn’t have another outbreak during the night, so everyone felt a bit more at ease.

In the following days, nobody at the Manor saw Bai Jue. Even his als were sent to his room by the servants.

“Bang —”

The sound of a door slamming startled everyone downstairs.

Jian Qing looked up to see Bai Jue storming downstairs.

“Bai Jue, have you beco a vagabond?” Jian Luo’s face was pale, but his spirits seed good.

Bai Jue was still wearing the clothes they had seen him in two days ago. He hadn’t even taken ti to get rid of the sparse beard on his chin. He looked nothing like his usual dashing self.

Bai Jue glared at him unhappily, “You have the nerve to tease , you ungrateful brat. Have you given any thought to who I’m doing all this for?”

Jian Luo grinned broadly, “Alright, it’s my fault. I promise I’ll treat you to a feast later.”

“That’s more like it.” Bai Jue huffed, but rembering the purpose of his visit, his expression beca excited.

“I have good news. I’ve found a way to rid your body of the virus.”

The reason he could find a solution so quickly was largely thanks to the virus samples from Saint Ronas Town. The residual virus in Jian Luo’s body shared many similarities with Iverson’s virus samples, otherwise it would have taken much longer to find a cure.

“Really?” Black Jack’s eyes were brimming with excitent as he grabbed Jian Luo’s hand.

Bai Jue nodded, “But —”

“But what?” Jian Qing asked.

Bai Jue set his gaze on Jian Luo, his tone growing serious, “The treatnt might be painful, Jian Luo, you need to be prepared.”

“As long as it can cure , anything is fine.” Jian Luo forced a smile.

“The virus in your body is spreading too fast for

to directly administer dication. We need to start with a dicinal bath. The bath is the hardest to endure. Once you’re past the seven days of dicinal baths, you can start taking the dication.” Bai Jue explained.

“While you’re taking the bath, you will be in a lot of pain. That pain will be ten tis worse than when the virus acts up every day. And I can’t give you any painkillers during that ti.”

Hearing this, the smiles on everyone’s faces disappeared.

Black Jack looked at Jian Luo, his hold on Jian Luo’s hand tightening.

“Black Jack, all of you, don’t worry. It’s just pain, it will pass. It’s better than having no cure. Trust , I will endure.” Seeing his hand trembling slightly, Jian Luo reassured him softly.

“Bai Jue, is there no other way?” Grandpa asked.

Bai Jue shook his head, “At the mont, this is the only way to completely remove the residual virus in Jian Luo’s body.”

“Then that’s it. Grandpa, all of you, stop worrying about . In seven days, I’ll be back to my old self.” Jian Luo said.

Grandpa reluctantly nodded in agreent.

“Then it’s settled. I’ll go and prepare now. We’ll start the first dicinal bath tonight.” Bai Jue stated.

Jian Luo, “Yeah.”
