Chapter 1143: 1123, Extra Story Seventeen (5)
“I’m the person who accidentally spilled coffee on you that day, my na is Xi An’an,” Xi An’an explained.
Quan Tianqi suppressed a smile, “I know.”
“…”
He knew and still asked her?
Xi An’an bit her lip slightly, sowhat at a loss for words.
“Is there sothing you need?” Since she had been silent for so long, Quan Tianqi took the initiative to start the conversation.
“I…” As the words reached her lips, Xi An’an suddenly started to stutter.
“Calling
so late, you wouldn’t be asking
out for late-night snacks, would you?” Quan Tianqi joked.
Xi An’an’s mind raced, and she blurted out an “Mhm” in confusion.
“The place?” Quan Tianqi asked.
“What?” Xi An’an was caught off guard by his question.
“Didn’t you say you were treating
to a late-night snack?”
“Ah?”
“Thinking of backing out?”
“No, that’s not what I ant,” Xi An’an hurriedly clarified.
Quan Tianqi asked again, “Where?”
Xi An’an hesitated, then nad a restaurant next to the hotel.
It wasn’t until she heard the “beep beep” from the phone that Xi An’an felt as if she were waking from a dream. What had she just agreed to?
Late-night snacks?
OMG, she was dood.
What she ant to say was not this; how did it turn into late-night snacks?
The moon was hazy as Xi An’an left the hotel fully geared up.
When she arrived at the agreed-upon restaurant, what t her eyes was the tightly shut doors of the restaurant.
Instantly, she wished she could find a block of tofu to knock herself out with.
When had she beco so foolish? At this hour, of course, the restaurant was closed for business.
Inviting soone out only to find the restaurant closed, this was just ridiculous.
She patted her head, feeling sowhat annoyed.
“If you keep patting, you’re probably just going to get more confused.”
The low and husky voice ca from behind her, and Xi An’an’s eyes widened as she quickly turned around.
In the moonlight, the man’s sharply defined handso features invaded her sight. The beige wool, black pants, and the scarf around his neck softened the chill in his deanor considerably. Yet his every move still carried a regal grace.
“When did you get here?”
Quan Tianlin’s eyebrows quirked slightly, “Right when you were hitting your head.”
With that, Xi An’an offered an awkward smile.
“Your idea of late-night snacks isn’t making
stand here in the cold breeze, is it?” His gaze moved past her to the closed doors of the restaurant, asking teasingly.
“I’m sorry.” Xi An’an scratched her head, apologizing with embarrassnt, “I lost track of the ti, made you co all the way here late at night, sorry.”
Quan Tianlin looked down at her, his eyes lingering on her nose that was red from the cold, “Aren’t you cold?”
“Not really.”
Xi An’an rubbed her nose with a faint smile.
Quan Tianqi opened the car door, “Get in.”
“Huh?” Xi An’an was puzzled.
“Do you plan to stand here till dawn, or do you want to make the headlines with
tomorrow?” Quan Tianqi leaned against the car door, and his seemingly lazy action exuded an unrestrained and willful vibe.
Reflexively, Xi An’an glanced around and eventually got into his car.
Quan Tianqi closed the car door, then walked around to the other side and got into the car.
The windows rolled up, blocking out the cold wind. The heater was turned on, dispelling the chill from their bodies. Xi An’an’s eyes flitted towards the man driving beside her.
It was hard to imagine that such a man had anything to do with the cold-hearted and ruthless character Sister Xu had described.
Late at night, the streets grew quiet.
Only the occasional car passed by.
Quan Tianqi stopped the car and noticed the scrutinizing gaze from the person beside him. Feibo lips curved into a mischievous smile.
“From just now until now, you’ve been observing
for quite a while. What do you think, have you co to any conclusion?”
